The purpose of this study is to review articles related to disaster training for nursing students and nurses by investigating the contents and effects of research. Electronic databases, including CINAHL, Pubmed and RISS were searched. Papers published only in English or Korean were included. Twelve studies were selected from the 3,588 references screened. Most training programs took less than 8 hours, focusing mostly on the response phase of disaster. Intervention methods included simulation, debriefing, action learning, role play, problem based learning and so on. It was found that disaster training programs have significant positive effects on disaster management competency, disaster knowledge, disaster nursing related self-confidence, and disaster response competency. It was also revealed that multidisciplinary practice would help learners enhance cooperation and collaboration with other team members and foster a positive professional identity. Among the selected articles, the randomized controlled trial(RCT) study was just one. Therefore, RCTs are further needed to verify the effects of such an disaster training. Also, further studies considering the characteristics of department and nursing interventions based on all phases of disaster are needed.
According to the survey results on non-standard employment, most of the non-standard workers are women and work at service jobs and some jobs that do not require firm-specific skill. Also wages of non-standard workers appear to be lower than those of standard workers by 10~19%. Non-standard workers are very much likely to be excluded from beneficiaries of economic growth because job contents and ability are not important relatively as criteria in determining their basic wage and their benefits are also much lower in severance pay and bonuses, vacations, 4 social insurances, education and training opportunities. Because of very low rate of union membership, the working conditions of non-standard workers are not expected to be improvable easily by unions. It seems that the reason of the demand increase for non-standard workers is mainly because not only an individual establishment demands quantitative flexibility in employment, but also there are tendencies of being smaller in establishment size and of growing service industries macro-economically. The number of non-standard workers are expected to increase continuously in the future, too.

For the purpose, we analyze the national trend of the age demographic and occupational employment in first. And then we investigate the spatial characteristics of employment of the aged in the Seoul Metropolitan area which has the highest elderly population by utilizing location quotient, factor analysis, and K-means cluster analysis. As the result, we found that the spatial distribution patterns of the residence and workplace of the elderly were nearly coincided with each other. Furthermore, five clusters of the aged distribution have been determined according to the industrial-occupational-demographic attributes. The result revealed clear spatial segrmentation: Most of elderly population of the research area have been engaged in the low-level service jobs, while elderly population employed to the educated-knowledged based high-level jobs has been distributed at a few cores. Education is essential for specialists in charge terminal care of cancer patients. In the second 10-year plan to conquer cancer under the Cancer Control Act, the Korean government announced a plan to train more hospice and palliative care (HPC) specialists based on quantitative HPC expansion. Specifically, the government aims to develop e-learning programs to foster social workers in HPC, following those offered to doctors and nurses. In HPC, social workers have served a vital role in helping patients overcome psychological and social issues. As professionals, they have carried out their responsibilities and played their part in the field to help HPC to take root and be institutionalized in Korea. To date, it has been difficult to obtain practical knowledge and skills for social workers due to the lack of systematic training program. Development of an e-learning program for social workers, as proposed in this study, should strengthen social workers in charge of terminally-ill cancer patients in terms of their identity, expertise, and practical skills in clinical setting and improve their access to education. We also hope the program to be further developed by the government by introducing an education system that offers refresher courses to guarantee social workers' continued expertise through.
