Autobiographical Memory of Childhood and Prosocial Behaviors (나는 순수했다!: 아동기에 대한 자서전적 기억과 친사회적 행동)

  • Previous studies have demonstrated that childhood memories can impact self-concepts. However, scant research has been conducted to determine whether and how the activation of childhood memories relates to the motivation of prosocial behaviors. Thus, this study investigated whether childhood memories facilitated prosocial behaviors through implicitly activating moral purity and how differently an abstract (vs. a concrete) construal level of autobiographical memories evoke prosocial intentions. According to the results of Study 1, the participants in the experimental condition of childhood memories were more motivated to perform prosocial behaviors than those in the controlled condition of recalling recent mundane activities. In the experimental condition, moral purity was activated more strongly than in the control condition. Study 2 demonstrated that participants in the "concrete" condition of childhood memories tended to the lower levels of prosocial motivation than those in the "abstract" condition wherein they were counting and describing good deeds from their childhood in detail. These results indicate that different construal levels (abstract vs. concrete) can mediate the relationship between childhood memories and prosocial behaviors. This study contributes to extending previous research regarding the determinants of motivating prosocial behaviors in cognitive processes.

The Effects of Art Infusion Types on Advertising Attitude and Diagnosticity in Art Marketing (아트마케팅의 명화차용 유형이 광고태도와 진단성(Diagnosticity)에 미치는 효과)

  • The Korea Convergence Society. The main purpose of this study is to analyze and categorize Art Infusion, and to examine the effects of consumers' advertising on attitude and memory information. As a result, first, there were no statistical differences according to the type of recall according to the way of using famous paintings. However, the product diagnosis and advertisement diagnosticity according to the way of using the famous paintings showed positive evaluation in the reinterpreted famous paintings. Second, in the case of recalls according to the frequency of exposure to famous paintings, the exposure of famous painting advertisements was higher than that of the highly exposed painting advertisements. Third, when comparing the interaction effect on the recall of advertisements, the high-exposure advertisements reinterpreted by the camera showed the highest recall. The results of this study are expected to contribute to strategic measures that can positively change consumer memory and attitudes according to the way of using famous paintings.

  • Existing art, media art, accompanied by a new path of awareness and perception instrumentalized by the human body, creating a new way to watch the interaction is proposed. Western art way to create visual images of the point cloud that represented a form that is similar to the Pointage. This traditional painting techniques using digital technology means reconfiguration. In this paper, a new appreciation of fusion of aesthetic elements and digital technology, making the point cloud in the form of video. And this holographic film projection of the spectator, and gestures to interact with the video content is presented. A Process of making contents is intent planning, content creation, content production point cloud in the form of image, 3D gestures for interaction design process, go through the process of holographic film projection. Visual and experiential content of memory recall process takes place in the consciousness of the people expressed. Complete the process of memory recall, uncertain memories, memories materialized, recalled. Uncertain remember the vague shapes of the point cloud in the form of an image represented by the image. As embodied memories through the act of interaction to manipulate images recall is complete.

Remembrance of Luxun by Zhouzuoren in His Later Years: Focus on Luxun's Old house (주작인(周作人) 만년의 노신(魯迅) 회고 -《노신적고가(魯迅的故家)》를 중심으로)

  • 1949年後周作人散文中,有關魯迅的回憶文章是其重要組成部分。特别是《魯迅的故家》,展现了形成當下周作人鲁迅的过去经验,根源,历史,文化,地域传统以及逐渐衰败的士大夫家的荒凉内面。周作人在《魯迅的故家》上的魯迅回忆法很独特。明明以魯迅的文章《朝花夕拾》为引子,但很快就超越了原本。他望着被魯迅漏掉或遗忘的百草园内外徘徊。那里有鬼園,有漂泊在鬼園之上的灵魂,也有些生活在想象和历史的境界里的人。甚至还有被他遗忘似的祖父和父親。《魯迅的故家》在虚构和历史,想象和事实或魯迅和周作人这两个领域之間无数次往返,跳跃,并创造出上下四面扩张的新世界。但是在这个时空中,真实和虚构已经不再是個问题。因为在虚构和事实之间徘徊的《魯迅的故家》中的人和事不知不觉间变得更加立体,时时刻刻变化,拥有丰富的内涵。 但是另一方面,随着《魯迅的故家》中出现的魯迅周围人物和事迹具有具体的质感,魯迅本身其形象和存在感也变得模糊不清。因此,"《魯迅的故家》实际上是周作人的故家"的不满和由周作人對魯迅谈论的结果,被认为是 '对左翼鲁迅的放逐'。周作人復原了魯迅早年和青年時代。那是被推頌爲 "現代中國聖人","革命家"以前的周作人長兄的魯迅,是生活在衆多背景和事件中凡人魯迅,是非革命性的非戰鬥性的魯迅。這是周作人創造的另 一個世界,是周作人和魯迅的文學和學術發祥地,也接近于曾分化成許多不同面貌的原生質世界。

The Effect of Systematicity and Presentation Type of Analog on Concept Recall and Application (비유물의 체계성과 표현 방식이 개념 회상 및 응용에 미치는 효과)

  • This study investigated the effect of systematicity and presentation type of an analog upon students' concept recall and application regarding stoichiometry that included limiting reagent. Systematicity was manipulated by varing the degree of explicit causal structure, and presentation type was in either verbal format or verbal/figurative format. The four types of the analog developed were studied by randomly assigned junior high school students (N=137). Prior to the treatment, the Group Assessment of Logical Thinking was administered and its score was used as a covariate. After the treatment, a research-made conception test was administered immediately and four weeks later. The ANCOVA results indicated that systematicity had a positive effect on immediate application regardless of presentation type. In the application problem of retention test, however, systematicity had no main effect but interaction with presentation type. These suggested that the systematic analog in verbal/figurative format most positively influence concept application. Educational implications are discussed.

  • This study investigated Greene and Corwder(1984)'s modified PAS model, according to which, in a short-term memory recall task, the recency and suffix effects existing in auditory and visual conditions are mediated by the same mechanisms. It also investigated whether the auditory information and mouthed information are encoded by the same codes. Though the experimental manipulation of the phonological nature, the presence of differential recall effect of consonant-and vowel-varied stimuli in auditory and mouthing conditions which has been supposed to interact with the recency and suffix effects, was investigated. The result shows that differential recall effect between consonant and vowel exists only in the auditory condition, but not in the mouthing condition. Thus, this result supported Turner.

  • Beyond the mid-2010s, there has been increasing cases of using 'Reminiscence' as a trigger for recalling 'Past' in pre-production process of creative contents. In previous researches on this phenomenon, it has been recognized that retro, recall, compassion, and memory are similar. In order to look closely to grasp the psychological tendency of the contents user in detail, the study about 'Reminiscence' was conducted. The researcher analyzed 'Reminiscence' as a process of restructuration based on the experience and desire of the person individual which were derived from the past and further analyzed it as a lack of desire due to the time can never return. The study hopefully can make a balance against the cutting edge content distribution technology biased production tendency.

Effect of Presenting Modes of Multiple Analogies on Middle School Students' Understanding of Science (다중 비유의 사용 방식이 중학생들의 과학 개념 이해에 미치는 효과)

  • This study investigated the effect of presenting modes of multiple analogies on middle school students' understanding of science concepts. A total of 122 7th-graders was randomly assigned to one of 4 groups. After reading one of 4 analogy-learning materials in different analogy presenting modes (the number of analogs, the number of mappings between analog and target, and the comparison of similarity between analogs). the students took a conception test. The results indicated that using analogs and mappings twice were not significant factors in recalling and applying science concepts. However, the comparison of similarity between analogs was found to be a significant factor in applying science concepts. Educational implications are discussed.

Young Children's Reading Responsiveness to the Pop-up Books and Regular Picture Books (팝업책과 일반평면책에 대한 유아의 읽기 반응 비교)

  • This study examined the differences in young children's reading results to two types of picture books, focusing on the features of pop-up books. Children's reading time, interests, responsiveness, comprehension, and recall were compared for pop-up books and regular books with the same story. The results of this study were as follows. First, young children showed similarly high interests in both versions. Second, children from the pop-up books group read for a longer time, and showed a higher responsiveness level in focusing on the illustrations than their counterparts. Third, children who read regular books displayed better comprehension and recall than children who read pop-up books.

Survival Processing Advantage and Sex Differences in Location Memory (위치 기억에서의 생존 처리 이득과 성차)

  • Recent studies report that in terms of object memory, survival context has mnemonic advantage over other context conditions (e.g., Nairne et al, 2007). The present experiments explored whether this effect can also affect task-irreverent object location memory, and tested whether the context can change gender difference in object location memory. Participants were asked to rate the relevance of pictures presented at random locations (experiment 1) or words (experiment 2) under survival context or moving context. After rating the pictures or words, they answered recall test and location retrieval test. The results revealed higher accuracy in memory for objects encoded under survival context. Moreover, survival processing enhanced location memory, and the survival advantage in location memory emerged among woman.
