자신의 분야에서 일정한 문학적 성가를 올리고 있는 시인 소설가들이 최근들어 동화나 동시 창작에 뛰어들고 있다. 아동문화작가들에 의한 아동문학의 고집스런 벽을 허무는 이같은 시도들은, 그동안 어린이독자들에게 거의 외면당해온 순수창작물의 새로운 가능성을 열어보인다는 점에서 일단은 긍정적으로 평가된다.

서울에어쇼''''96이 대단원의 막을 내렸다. 땀과 피로 이루어낸 행사였기에 준비한 이들의 보람도 그 이상으로 값진 것이었다. 이 행사를 보기위해 새벽부터 차를 타고 올라온 관람객을 바라보며 ''''이래서 우리는 에어쇼를 한다''''고 마음속으로 되뇌이며 허무감마져 느껴지는 감정을 다스리곤 했다. 이들의 관심이 실로 이 행사를 빛내준 사람들인 것이다.

고 배기형 선생에 관한 역사자료를 정리하는 작업에 있어 본론의 내용이 부실한 듯해 안타까움을 느끼곤 한다. 고인에 관한 자료가 말소되다시피해 기록이 전무한 상태여서 건축가의 인생이 허무함을 느끼기도 하지만, 무엇보다 구조사를 중심으로 고인의 업적이 보존되어 한국건축역사를 보다 투명하게 평가할 수 있는 풍토가 정착되지 못한 것이 아쉬울 따름이다. 구조사를 이어가는 윤홍갑 소장에게서 배기형 선생에 관한 증언을 기대하던 중 윤소장이 갑작스런 건강악화로 서울대 병원에 입원하게 돼 필자가 기대하던 보다 알찬 자료지원을 포기할 수 밖에 없었다. 윤소장의 빠른 쾌유를 기원하면서 배기형 선생의 전기를 짜맞추어 원고를 이어가는데 전화, 메모 등으로 협력하여 주신 증인(특히 공장설계에 관한 증언은 김창서 소장, 최영규 교수, 주경재 교수 협조 내용임) 여러분에게 지면을 빌어 감사드린다.

Sheets of aluminum alloy 1050 were asymmetrically cold rolled in a rolling mill with different roll speeds. In order to promote the shear deformation during asymmetrical rolling, cold rolling without lubrication was performed. The variation of the shear strain state during asymmetrical rolling was tackled by means of FEM calculations. Asymmetrical rolling gave rise to the development of pronounced residual shear strain gradients throughout the thickness layers.

The effect of the cross-rolling on the evolution of the deformation texture and the subsequent annealing texture was studied in 5182 aluminium alloy. The orientation density near {011}<110>. The weak ${\beta}$-fiber orientations in the deformation texture lead to the randomization of the annealing texture, whereas the strong ${\beta}$-fiber orientations lead to the strong Cube orientation in the annealing texture. The development of the strong rotated Cube orientation in the annealing texture seemed to be related with the decrease in the R-value.
