재량활동 운영을 위한 수학의 통합교과적 프로젝트 교수-학습 자료의 개발에 관한 연구

  • 재량 활동을 위한 완벽한 자료의 개발을 기대하기는 어렵지만, 자료 개발의 바람직한 방향을 제시할 수 있는 자료의 개발과 보급이 절실하다. 이를 위하여 현직 교사들을 자료의 주 개발자로 하여 10개 학년별 수학 교육과정 6개 영역별 통합교과적 소재의 프로젝트 교수 ${\cdot}$ 학습 활동 자료를 개발하였다. 수학 교과 재량 활동 자료의 개발 과정에서 발견된 시사점과 개발된 자료의 특징을 살펴봄으로써 그 바람직한 활용 방안을 찾도록 한다.

  • 대부분의 수학 수업이 알고리즘을 숙달시키고, 기계적으로 익힌 절차에 의해 정답을 맞추는 것에 중점을 두어 왔기 때문에, 학생들은 수학은 딱딱하고 어렵고 재미없는 과목이라는 인식을 많이 하고 있다. 그러나, 수학 수업에서 수학 교구의 조작 활동을 한다면 수학적인 흥미를 유발할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 추상과 형식적인 수학으로의 발달을 돕고 학생들이 활동적으로 수업에 참여할 수 있게 된다. 이러한 맥락에서 제 7차 교육과정의 '도형'영역에서는 조작 활동을 통한 자기 학습능력 개발에 중점을 두고 주위의 실제 생활에서 볼 수 있는 사물을 관찰하여 그 성질을 추상해 낼 수 있도록 구체적인 교구를 이용하는 조작 활동을 강조하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 관점에서 정규 수학 수업이 아닌 일선학교의 클럽 활동 시간을 이용하여 학생들이 수학 교구를 충분히 조작하고 활용할 시간을 제공하며, 학생들이 수학 교구의 조작 활동을 통한 클럽활동이 학생들의 수학적 성향 및 능력 수준에 따른 도형 학습능력에 어떠한 변화를 미치는 지를 사례를 중심으로 논의하고자 한다.

Analysis of Activity Tasks of Clothing Life Area in Middle School 「Technology & Home Economics」 Textbooks Based on Multiple Intelligence Teaching-Learning Strategy (다중지능 교수·학습 전략 기반 중학교 「기술·가정」 교과서 의생활 영역의 활동과제 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to make suggestions for improvement by analyzing the activity tasks in the clothing life area in middle school 「Technology & Home Economics」 textbooks of the 2015 revised curriculum. For this purpose, the multiple intelligence teaching-learning strategy analysis criteria were reconstructed and used for analysis. The activity tasks of the clothing life area of 「Technology & Home Economics I」 textbooks from 12 different publishers were analyzed based on the reconstructed analysis criteria, and the content validity was verified by 11 experts. The content validity, assessed by CVI was 0.94. According to the results, the logical·mathematical intelligence accounted for the highest proportion with 31.02%, followed by linguistic intelligence(23.81%), visual/spatial intelligence(17.08%), intrapersonal intelligence(14.71%), interpersonal intelligence(5.79%), bodily/kinesthetic intelligence(5.22%), naturalistic intelligence(2.37%), and musical intelligence(0.00%). The results showed that the teaching-learning strategies most frequently implemented in clothing life area were logical/mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, visual/spatial intelligence, and intrapersonal intelligence. On the other hand, teaching-learning strategies related to interpersonal intelligence, bodily/kinesthetic intelligence, and naturalistic intelligence were used at a relatively low proportion. Therefore, it is recommended to expand the teaching-learning strategies of interpersonal, bodily/kinesthetic, naturalistic and musical intelligence, for a more balanced intelligence development of students.

A Study on the Analysis of Effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program (『4-H청소년 서울현장체험학습』 프로그램의 효과 분석 -청소년인증수련활동 효과성 측정도구를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program(4-H SFELP). The effectiveness scale of youth accredited activity was applied to analyze the effectiveness and satisfaction of the program. After screening the data, 155 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of global leadership, initiative in exchange, and understanding other cultures which are related with effectiveness of youth exchange activity. Second, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of confidence, challenge spirit, achievement motivation, and collective leadership which are related with effectiveness of youth adventure and challenge activity. Third, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of problem-solving skills, morality, other-respect, and self-respect which are related with effectiveness of youth self-improvement activity. Fourth, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of self-efficacy and autonomy but has not effects on the level of inquiring mind of participants. All these findings were discussed for youth workers and researchers.

Research on the Student Activities in the Clothing & Textiles Section of 'Technology & Home Economics' in Middle School Textbooks[I] (중학교 기술.가정 교과서 의생활 영역의 활동과제에 관한 연구[제1보])

  • Various types of students activities presented in the clothing part of the current 'Technology Home Economics' middle school textbooks were analyzed to provide basic idea for improving the quality of content of text, which can arouse students' interest and practical use. Analysis was conducted for the units related to clothing contained in 10 different technology & home economics textbooks of 2nd grade middle school students approved by the Ministry of Education under the 7th national curriculum. Types of student activities were categorized based on "size of groups", "type of problems" and "methods of carrying out tasks" and the this study sought to explore future directions for action plans especially in terms of composition of contents, the methods of performance and suggestions. As a result, the volume of each part in clothing & textiles section was investigated. Among them 'dressing' part was found to make up the largest percentage of the clothing unit. And among the six of the detailed contents, "How to Wear Traditional Korean Clothes" and "Functions of Clothes", took up the largest space. In additions, the types of students activities and methods of implementing and how to performing tasks vary depending on publishing companies and detailed contents of areas. As a result, 'individual activities', 'structured problem', and 'problems that require prior home-based experience' were most common types of activities. Based on this study, it is suggested to increase the number of small group activities and the activities that require diverse problem-solving methods.

A Study on Learning Support based on the analysis of learning process in the college of Engineering (공과대학생들의 학습 과정 분석에 기초한 학습지원 방안 연구 : 수도권 S대 사례를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest some direction to support learning of students in college of engineering. It results from the assumption that engineering education accreditation should come with assessment of the educational process. To analyze the learning process, this study analyzed 5 categories - involvement in and out of instruction, faculty-student interaction, teaching-learning outcomes, and the system of student support. The Research method was questionnaire, and T-test and hierarchical linear model were used. The major findings are as follows. Major-level of satisfaction in teaching-learning and optional-level of satisfaction in teaching-learning are good. But the degree of self-directed learning activities and student-faculty interaction is low, and writing attitude and learning outcomes are not good. Student-faculty interaction, high-order thinking activities and active involvement have a good influence on learning outcomes. So this study suggests to enhance active involvement in instruction, high-order thinking activities, writing skills, and interaction with faculty for the improvement of quality of higher education.

The Effects of Learning Activities on the Application of Augmented Reality Contents in Elementary Science Instruction (초등학교 과학수업에서 AR 콘텐츠 활용이 학습 활동에 미치는 효과)

  • This study compared the differences between a group that studied with AR contents and a group that studied in a traditional method to examine the effects of AR contents use in elementary school science classes. The effects in four areas of studying were examined : study focus rate, study activities consuming variables, study participation activeness and instructional climate. As a result, there was no significant difference in study concentration rate between the AR and traditional groups. For study participation activeness, the AR group had higher participation actions, but there was no difference between the groups for language participation. For study activities consuming variables, the AR group stimulated more diverse study activities than the traditional group. For instruction climate, the AR contents group contributed more to creating a positive climate compared to the traditional group. Therefore, the results showed that application of AR contents on science classes would stimulate active participation of students and various study activities and help create a positive instructional climate.

The Roles of Science Classroom Activities and Students' Learning Motivation in Achieving Scientific Competencies: A Test of Path Model (고등학생들의 과학적 역량에 있어서 과학수업 활동과 학습동기의 역할 -경로모형의 검증-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the roles of classroom activities in science lessons and student learning motivation in achieving students' scientific competencies, and to suggest implications for science lessons to develop scientific competencies. For this, based on the PISA 2015 data of Korean high school students, we analyzed how classroom activities in science influenced students' scientific competencies through learning motivation variables. As a result of the path analysis, the activities emphasizing interaction and a link to real life predicted intrinsic motivation, instrumental motivation, and science efficacy significantly. On the other hand, the activities that emphasize the student-led inquiry process did not show any effect on learning motivation. In addition, the higher the motivation to learn the science, the higher their scores in three scientific competencies: explaining phenomenon scientifically, evaluating and designing scientific inquiry, and interpreting data and evidence scientifically. The practices of school science lessons indirectly influenced the achievement of scientific competence through learning motivation. Specifically, the activities emphasizing interaction influenced achieving scientific competencies through intrinsic motivation, and the activities emphasizing linkage to real life influenced it through all learning motivation variables. Finally, we discussed some implications for the roles and practices of school science class for enhancing students' scientific competencies.

Design of Liberal Arts Subjects for Artificial Intelligence Education for Pre-Teachers in Elementary and Secondary Schools (초중등 예비교사의 인공지능 교육을 위한 교양 교과목 설계)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an AI liberal arts subject for pre-service teachers of all majors in elementary and middle school. To this end, the main areas of the AI curriculum, sub-themes for each week, and activities were specifically designed and verified through two rounds of Delphi by 13 experts. The AI liberal arts curriculum in this study consists of three areas. Then, detailed topics for each week were confirmed, and a total of 13 weeks were arranged according to the natural flow. It was intended to help teaching and learning by arranging learning activities based on the experiential learning model according to the learning content. It is expected that this study will be used as basic data for the development of various AI education subjects for pre-service teachers in elementary and secondary schools in the future.

공간감각 형성을 위한 조작활동의 지도 방안

  • 자기 주위의 상황과 그 물체에 대한 직감(intutive feeling)을 뜻하는 공간감각은 수학교육의 기본적인 구성요소로서, 수학과 과학에서 다른 영역을 공부하기 위한 도구로 사용될 수 있고, 주위의 구조와 대칭성을 볼 수 있게 도우며, 모든 수학에서 창의적 사고를 지원한다. 우리나라에서도 2000학년도부터 연차적으로 실시되는 제 7차 수학과 교육과정의 도형여역에 ‘공간감각 기르기’를 신설하여 그 중요성을 강조하였다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 미국의 공간감각 지도의 변천과 우리나라 제 7차 교육과정의 공간감각 영역의 학습 내용을 비교, 우리나라 7차 교육과정의 공간감각영역의 학습내용을 살피고, 현행 7차 교육과정에 의거 초등학교 2학년의 공간감각 영역의 교수 ${\cdot}$ 학습과정을 실제 적용, 이후 아동의 학습 추이를 살펴봄으로써, 앞으로 우리나라 초등학교 아동의 공간감각 형성을 위한 여러 가지 지도방법을 제시하고자 한다. 결론 및 제언에서는 이러한 수업으로 얻어진 결과를 토대로 하여 제 7차 교육과정에서 공간감각 영역의 적용에 대한 시사점을 몇 가지 기술하였다.
