Relationship of Perception of Clinical Ladder System with Professional Self-Concept and Empowerment based on Nurses' Clinical Career Stage (간호사의 임상경력단계에 따른 경력개발제도 인식과 전문직 자아개념, 임파워먼트와의 관계)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 간호사의 임상경력단계에 따른 경력개발제도에 대한 간호사의 인식을 파악하고, 경력개발제도에 대한 인식, 전문직 자아개념과 임파워먼트와의 관계를 파악하여 간호사 경력개발제도의 개선의 근거 마련하고 전문직 자아개념과 임파워먼트의 증대 방안 모색을 통한 인적자원관리에 기여하고자 시도 된 서술적 상관관계 연구이다. 연구방법: 서울시 소재 일 상급종합병원에서 근무하는 중환자실, 수술실, 응급실 간호사 162명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 경력개발제도에 대한 인식, 전문직 자아개념, 임파워먼트를 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 18.0 프로그램을 활용하여 서술적 통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Multiple linear Regression을 시행하였다. 연구결과: 간호사의 임상경력단계에 따른 경력개발제도에 대한 인식은 전임 2 간호사가 신입 간호사, 일반 간호사, 전임 1 간호사보다 높은 인식을 가지고 있었다. 경력개발제도에 대한 인식과 전문직 자아개념, 임파워먼트에는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 경력개발제도에 대한 전반적 이해, 경력개발제도에 대한 기대효과, 최종학력, 임상경력단계가 전문직 자아개념의 42% 설명하는 것으로 나타났고, 경력개발제도에 대한 전반적 이해, 전문적 활동 참여에 대한 인식, 경력개발제도에 대한 기대효과, 임상경력단계가 임파워먼트를 42% 설명하였다. 결론: 전문직 자아개념과 임파워먼트에 영향을 미친 변수로 나타난 경력개발제도에 대한 인식을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 개발하여 적용을 통한 효과 검증이 요구되며, 간호 관리자들의 제도 운영과 관련된 장애요인의 파악 및 세심한 제도 개선이 필요하다.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate effects of the confirmed of boss and the organizational effectiveness. For this, The mediating effect of psychological empowerment was verified. on the Influence of Organizational Effectiveness. the confirmed of boss (+)effected of the organizational effectivenes and verified the parameter part of psychological empowerment. Also The confirmed of boss (+)effected of a Junior staff's the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment. This results suggest that for maximization the organizational effectiveness need the confirmed of boss and the delegation of authority. The delegation of authority from boss provide autonomy and creativeity to Junior staffs. This ways suggest that make them the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment.

  • This study examines the casual relationship between Sense of humor of teachers in childcare center and empowerment and job performance. The subjects of this study were 645 educare teachers from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheng-do, and Jeonra-do. Spss version 18.0 and Amos 16.0 were used to analyze the date. The result of analysis showed that Sense of humor of teachers in childcare center has positive effect on both their empowerment and job performance, and it creates bigger total effect on their job performance through the mediation of their empowerment.

  • The purpose of this study is to review the relationship between empowerment and innovative behavior, and the moderating effect of psychological ownership in small business. In order to verify and achieve the purposes mentioned above, questionnaire data are gathered and analysed from 315 employees in manufacturing enterprises of Kangwon-do province. Multiple regression and multiple hierarchical regression analysis were applied to test the proposed hypotheses: 1) the relationship between empowerment(meaning, autonomy, self-efficacy, impact) and innovative behavior(idea development, idea implementation), 2) the moderating effect of PO(psychological ownership for organization) on the relationship between empowerment and innovative behavior, 3) the moderating effect of PJ(psychological ownership for job) on the relationship between empowerment and innovative behavior. Empirical survey's findings are as follows; First, empowerment(meaning, autonomy, self-efficacy, impact) appeared to be positively related with innovative behavior(idea development, idea implementation). Second, there was no evidence of moderating effect of PO on the relationship between empowerment and innovative behavior. Third, meaning of work was more positively related with innovative behavior(idea development, idea implementation) in higher PJ group than in lower PJ group. Fourth, impact was more positively related with idea implementation in higher PJ group than in lower PJ group.

Effects of Collective Leadership on Follower's Work Engagement: Examining the role of Psychological Empowerment and Self-efficacy (집합적 리더십이 구성원의 직무열의에 미치는 영향 : 심리적 임파워먼트의 매개효과와 자기효능감의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between collective leadership and employee's work engagement and psychological empowerment. This study tested the impact of collective leadership on employee's work engagement and the mediating role of psychological empowerment between the two variables. And also, this study tested moderating role of self-efficacy between psychological empowerment and work engagement. A total of 237 employees in 7 companies in South Korea participated in this study. The SPSS 21.0 and M-Plus6 statistical programs were used in this study to analyze and statistically process the collected survey data. The result showed that collective leadership positively influence employee's work engagement and psychological empowerment works as mediator in the relationship between collective leadership and employee's work engagement. This results means that collective leadership is a crucial factor to facilitate employee's psychological empowerment toward employee's work engagement. Self-efficacy had moderating effect between psychological empowerment and work engagement. Finally, theoretical and practical implications of the study results have been discussed along with limitations and future direction of the study.

Effects of Transformational Leadership on the Organizational Effectiveness of Long-Term Care Facilities : Focusing on the Care Giver's Mediating effect of Empowerment (노인장기요양기관의 변혁적 리더십이 조직효과성에 미치는 영향 : 요양보호사의 임파워먼트 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine effects of empowerment on relationship between supervisors transformational leadership recognized by care givers and organizational effectiveness represented as the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment. For the purpose, survey were conducted with care givers working in long-term care facilities in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Incheon, and final data were resulted from analysis of 283 examines of those care givers. The findings of this study were as follows: first, transformational leadership of long-term care facilities had a significant influence on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Second, the care giver's empowerment had a influence on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, empowerment worked as mediators between the transformational leadership of long-term care facilities and care giver's job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Based upon these findings, we can propose practices towards improving a long-term care facilities administrator's transformational leadership and implication of program development and provide an institutional strategy aiming to care giver's empowerment improvement.

  • This study was intended to verify the parameter effects of empowerment in the effect of social support of the employees of youth training facilities on the quality of service. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for improving the service quality of youth training facility workers. As a result of this study, first, social support and empowerment had a positive effect on service quality. Second, the partial mediating effect of empowerment can be confirmed. Based on the results of this study, the following suggestions were made. First, for the social support of the employees, the middle managers and facility managers of youth training facilities should use the Internet environment such as the Internet and smart phones. Second, in order to improve empowerment, support for information related to work, material support related to compensation, and evaluation support related to business processing should be provided. Third, to improve the empowerment of workers, it is necessary to augmented reality(AR), virtual reality(VR), and flip learning program using the Internet of Things environment.

Empowerment Related Variables in Korean Clinical Nurses: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (임상 간호사의 임파워먼트 관련 요인에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석)

  • This study was performed systematic review and meta-analysis for a comprehensive analysis of the empowerment related variables of clinical nurses in South Korea. Analysis were conducted in accordance with PRISMA guideline, and a total 71 papers were selected. Antecedent variables of empowerment were a total of 16 variables and 56 effect sizes, and showed the total effect size of 0.38 (95% CI: 0.31~0.44). Outcome variables empowerment were a total of 12 variables and 105 effect sizes, and the showed total effect size of 0.45 (95% CI: 0.41~0.48). This study showed the trends of studies and investigated the effect size of related variables objectively in the perspective of empowerment of Korean clinical nursing. This study has significance in that it presented the reliable evidence for the positive effect of empowerment on individuals, jobs, and organizations through reliable and valid research methodology.

  • Wind tunnel test for Smart UAV power model has been conducted at KARI LSWT for about 3 months. The static model is used for the base plane and the power effect of tilt rotor is simulated by the tilt-rotor test rig installed in the test section. Although the genuine power effect is the difference between power-on and off tests. The existence of struts for power effect test produced unwanted form of interference and caused the change in flow angularity. To precisely evaluate power effect, a special approach is applied to Smart UAV test.

Relationship between Self-leadership, Self-efficacy and Impowerment in Nursing students (간호대학생의 셀프리더십, 자기효능감 및 임파워먼트의 관계)

  • The study was to identify the mediating effect of Self-efficacy between Self-leadership and Impowerment in the Nursing students. The study was conducted from 02nd March to 29th March. The data was collected using structural questionnaire from 166 nursing students in 2 Nursing department in D city. The data was analyzed by SPSS/WIN 19.0, AMOS 19.0 and Sobel Test. The mean value of were as follows: self-leadership 3.36, Self-efficacy 3.02, Impowerment 3.28. There was positive relationship between self-leadership and Self-efficacy(r=.306, p<.001), self-leadership and Impowerment(r=.291, p<.001) and between Self-efficacy and Impowerment(r=.559, p<.001). This study confirmed that Self-efficacy had a mediating effect on the relationship between self-leadership and Impowerment. To improve Self-efficacy, enhancing self-leadership and Impowerment is required.
