  • The purpose of this paper is to propose convergence education for creative manpower training between foreign language and Information technology department's students. Academia and industry, and government have attempted a number of changes and efforts for the employment of university graduated students and they have also promoted various projects and plans to suggest a better way. But the graduates employment rate is still left as serious social problem. To solve this problem, we seek to propose convergence education plan to enhance the employment rate of foreign language department that is relatively low unlike other departments. This proposal will make a new paradigm in education - Creativity, Difference, Locality, and Convergence. Based on these paradigms, it is expected to overcome the limitation of labor market.

  • The purpose of this study is to promote the activation of creative problem - solving education in Korea through the case of countries leading education for creative problem solving in order to overcome the limitation of creative problem solving education in Korea. Based on 5 success factors by our cases of United States, Singapore, and Dublin City University in Ireland, we focused on the cases and extracted five key characteristics of creative problem solving education. The university should be able to provide various information gathering and theoretical knowledge for problem definition as well as continuing guidance and mentoring, rather than one-time teaching, in the form of teaching-student cooperative learning paradigm. Second, the class should be a team - based learning team which is a key factor in overseas universities' policy, so as to be able to identify differentiated, new ideas and creative problem solving methods based on knowledge and experience sharing. The creative problem solving method derived from education could be able to collect, organize, and apply to the field continuously and comprehensively about the learning process of the individual. Evaluation of curriculum should be based on characteristics of school and characteristics of students. The results of creative problem-solving education should be evaluated in order to continuously develop and create value in addition to the outcomes of the class. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an evaluation process for each university. The university should try to make creative problem solving education create value through specialization of university. Based on this, we propose a creative problem solving education framework.

It is important to have a fused thinking because elementary school students are likely to make various changes. Therefore, when selecting elementary gifted students, they are selecting students for fusion gifted students. This study examines the effects of creative problem solving ability, document evaluation, and interview factors on student selection when selecting students for gifted students. The results show that creative problem solving ability has the most influence on selection. In the case of the fifth graders, the creative problem solving ability and the document evaluation influence the selection. In fourth graders, the creative problem solving ability and interview affect the selection. In the case of female students, it was found that creative problem solving ability and document evaluation influenced selection. In addition, there was a gender difference in the evaluation of documents in the gender difference analysis. There is no significant difference between the three groups in the grade-by-grade difference analysis.

  • This was a single group pretest-protest pre-experimental study designed to find out whether writing using media enhances creative convergence capacity. Data were collected from 30 C university students in C city, from March 1st to July 15th, 2020. Analysis was done using IBM SPSS 25.0 for frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, and paired t-test. Creative problem solving ability was enhanced by an average of 0,63 points (p<.001), critical thinking tendency by 1.06 points (p<.001), self-leadership by 0,53 points (p<.001), and self-control by an average of 0.51 points, so was statistically significant (p=.001). Writing using media had the effect of improving creativity and integration capabilities. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the development of educational programs for creativity and integration enhancement at university-level. Also, follow-up studies on the effectiveness of writing education by utilizing web media as text and tools simultaneously and customized university-level writing education utilizing media are required.

  • Key areas of digital contents, the games and animation industries are increasingly expanding. Therefore, training of a specialized workforce is required in accordance with these enterprises' growing demand. Education in the field of games and animation lies in cultivating talents with creative thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Thus, this paper aims to propose a PBSL teaching model for creative convergent talent through game and animation projects. The study will focus on the characteristics of creative convergence talents, project teaching, and related job competencies for game and animation education. Based on literature research, a 'Project Based Self Learning' instructional model is presented, in which creative thinking and collaboration competencies are explained in a way they can be performed by the learner. As a case study, D University's class was applied with PBSL. A survey showed that the autonomy aspects were higher than the creativity and convergence attitudes, indicating that the students improved their autonomy and motivation. However, the team composition needs further supplementation.
