Recently, the government has been spending a large amount of money to support start-ups with its major policies aimed at economic growth and job creation under the keynote of innovative growth. Nevertheless, the Global Entrepreneurship Development Institute (GEDI) gave a very low assessment of the social and cultural support areas of Korea's start-up ecosystem in the 2018 Global Entrepreneurship Index (GEI), indicating that unlike the government's interest, our perception of start-ups has not been positive. This study surveyed 300 prospective entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs. In addition, this study empirically analyzes how social support of those around them is related to their entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors. As a result, it was not possible to confirm whether social support affects entrepreneurial intentions, but social support had positive influences on entrepreneurial behaviors. In addition, social support was found to have positive influences on entrepreneurial behaviors with dual mediation of entrepreneurial self-dfficacy and entrepreneurial intentions. Therefore, it was confirmed that social support is a factor that influences entrepreneurial behaviors and that entrepreneurial self-efficacy has important parametric effects. The findings of this study suggest that the government and entrepreneurship support agencies need to reflect programs in start-up support poject to promote social support for start-ups and to enhance entrepreneurial self-efficacy.

This study sought to identify the effects of entrepreneurship orientation and self efficacy on entrepreneurial intentions among workers in the bio-healthcare industry in Korea. As interest in health increases in the age of aging, the bio-healthcare industry is attracting a lot of attention for start-ups as an industry that can create high added value, but there are also aspects that take a relatively long time to develop technology, require a lot of money, and have a relatively high probability of failure. In this study, we measured the level of entrepreneurship orientation and self efficacy of bio-healthcare industry workers and identified the degree of influence on entrepreneurial intentions. Studies have shown that innovativeness, progressiveness, and risk-taking among entrepreneurship orientations all have a significant impact on entrepreneurial intention. In addition, self efficacy has been shown to have a mediating effect on the relationship between innovativeness, progressiveness, risk-taking and entrepreneurial intention.

As a result of the study, we find that moral obligation, self-efficacy, and emotional intelligence all had a positive effect on social entrepreneurship. Second, social entrepreneurship had a positive effect on social enterprise entrepreneurship intentions. Third, analyzing the moderating effect of men and women in the relationship between personal characteristics and social entrepreneurship, it was found that there was a difference in the value of the path coefficient representing the relationship between moral obligation and social entrepreneurship. However, there was no moderating effect in the relationship between self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and social entrepreneurship by gender. Therefore, this study is expected to serve as a reference for people who want to start a social enterprise in the future to verify their characteristics and use them as a way to improve their social entrepreneurship.

Self-efficacy and entrepreneurial self-efficacy on the positive effects of entrepreneurial intention are well developed in past research but marketing self-efficacy, linked to the competencies of marketing field and is closely related to self-efficacy and entrepreneurial self-efficacy has not received enough attention on the prediction of start-up intention despite marketing and entrepreneurship are crucial when creating a start-up. Moreover, there have been several empirical studies but, most of the previous studies have focused on university students majoring in business and economics. Therefore, there is still little understanding of the effect of marketing self-efficacy on start-up intention. The purpose of this study then was to investigate the effect of marketing self-efficacy on start-up intention for college students majoring in entertainment-related studies. Questionnaires were employed to collect data from three universities in Korea. A total of 120 completed questionnaires were returned. Logistic regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis. The results of this study empirically confirmed that university students majoring in entertainment-related studies with high marketing self-efficacy are more likely to desire to create a start-up. These results suggest theoretical and practical implications.
