  • Storycrafting is a creative educational technique in Finland. Since 2011, storytelling approach of mathematics textbooks in South Korea can be regarded as opportunities for interesting learning of mathematics as well as its improper application to mathematics lessons. We need to revise and improve the storytelling method. The purpose of this study is to make a storycrafting program that encourages students to make mathematical stories for themselves and to analyze the effect of the storycrafting program on mathematical creativity and communication. To do so, we developed a storycrafting program of mathematics for sixth graders, which is composed of 33 lessons. And we applied them to one sixth class as experimental group. Through pre-test and post-test, their mathematical creativity and communication were tested. Based on the result of t-test, we can verify the statistical meaningful effect of the storycrafting program. This study contains some conclusions and suggestions.

  • This study was done to develop a human relation and communication course combined with a convergence communication training program and examine the effects of communication self efficacy, communicative competence, and interpersonal relations in nursing students. The study was designed using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design, data were collected between September 5 and December 13, 2016, Participants were 83 1-year nursing students in 1 College of D City, and were assigned to an experimental group (n=41), or a control group (n=42). The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, and ${\chi}^2$ test with the SPSS/WIN 21.0. After receiving the program, difference was observed in communication self-efficacy(t=15.23, p<.001), communicative competence(t=11.42, p<.001), and interpersonal relations(t=19.24, p<.001) of the experimental group. It is expected that these results would be helpful for increasing communication self efficacy, communicative competence, and interpersonal relations in nursing students on human relation and communication course combined with a convergence communication training program.

  • This study seeks to validate the development and the effectiveness of a web-based online education program used to enhance communication skills of college students. Communication skills are important skills demanded of college students seeking employment that play a significant role in self-introduction, presentations, interviews, and continuous interaction in the workplace. 105 students in the third and fourth year of D University were selected for the experimental and control groups in which the experimental group met once a week for one semester in 2013 for a total of 16 weeks(twenty minutes) while the control group was left untreated. The variable of effectiveness for the results of this study was based on the criteria of communication and performance behavior skills. The results show that the communication skills and performance behavior skills proficiency of the experimental group compared to the control group, have made dramatic improvements. Therefore, the web-based communication skills training program for college students was found to be effective in the enhancement of the communication skills of college students. For the future, we expect further sustained development of various effective capabilities programs along with the promotion of web-based online education.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects on the dysfunctional communication self-esteem and depression, executed this program for the mothers group with caring the mental disorders. and then for the test of some hypotheses it was devided two groups ; the experimental group(n=20) and control group(n=25). In the control group they were learned two session family education program in the psychiatric clinics of Pusan National University Hospital and in the experimental group they had experienced during the 10 session by the group communication program. In the methods of the statistics on this datas, it was to statistics X²test for the comparison between the experimental group and control group with general characteristics. The effect of the Group Communication Program was to analyse ANCOVA between pre-post test on the disfunctional communication, self-esteem and depression in the control group and experimental group. The conclusions were derived from the results and test of hypothesis as followings ; 1) The results were tested the differentiation between the experimental and control group, and the pre-post test in the experimental group with dysfunctional communication self-esteem and depression. Some hypothesis were tested and supported as followings : It was supported that the level of dysfunctional communication of the experimental group would be lower than the control group (Hypothesis 1) It was supported that the level of self-esteem of the experimental group would be higher than the control group (Hypothesis 2). • The purpose of this study was to develop the E-STEAM program emphasizing the engineering design process and apply them to young children to examine their effects on scientific problem-solving ability and communication ability. In order to develop the E-STEAM program, activities were organized by reviewing previous studies and websites related to STEAM and engineering education. The organized activities were selected as final activities after consulting with experts. To examine the effectiveness of the program, 50 subjects(experimental group: 25, control group:25) participated in K kindergarten in G city. The experimental group took part in the E-STEAM activities during 7 weeks, while the control group took part in the traditional science activities. The procedure for this study consisted of a pre-study, a pre-test, the treatment, and a post-test schedule. The results of this study were as follows: First, the experimental group showed significantly higher score than the control group in total problem-solving ability. Second, the experimental group showed significantly higher score than the control group in total communication ability. These findings suggest that the experience of E-STEAM activities for young children can be effective teaching-learning methods for young children's problem solving ability and communication ability.
