An Analysis on Objectification of the Concept of Repetition: Focusing on Teacher's and Students' Discourse (중복 개념의 대상화 과정 분석: 교사와 학생의 담론을 중심으로)

  • The term "objectification" has various definitions or perspectives. Nevertheless, it's pursued commonly by groups from various perspectives who emphasize the activities of becoming aware of a process as a totality, realizing that transformations can act on that totality, that is, turning processes into object. The purpose of this study is to identify how students objectify the concept of repetition regarding permutation and combination and find difficulties of objectification focusing on teacher's and students' discourse from common emphasis on previous researches associated with objectification. Students objectified the concept of repetition by replacing talk about processes with talk about objects regarding repetition and using discursive forms that presented phenomena in an impersonal way. The difficulties of objectification were derived from close linkage between the way of using keywords regarding repetition and everyday language.

  • A key issue in the development and application of stated preference nonmarket valuation is the incorporation of unobserved heterogeneity in utility models. Two approaches to this task have dominated. The first is to include individual-specific characteristics into the estimated indirect utility functions. These characteristics are usually socioeconomic or demographic variables. The second employs generalized models such as random parameter logit or probit models to allow model parameters to vary across individuals. This paper examines a third approach: the inclusion of psychological or 'latent' variables such as general attitudes and behaviour-specific attitudes to account for heterogeneity in models of stated preferences. Attitudinal indicators are used as explanatory variables and as segmentation criteria in a choice modelling application. Results show that both the model significance and parameter estimates are influenced by the inclusion of the latent variables, and that attitudinal variables are significant factors for WTP estimates.

An Analysis of Modes in the Learning-Content Achievement Standards of Korean 2011 Elementary Mathematics Curriculum: Focused on 'Understand', 'Know' and 'Meaning' (2011 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 학습내용 성취 기준 양태 분석: '이해한다', '안다', '의미'를 중심으로)

  • In this study, from the viewpoint that there should be no inconsistencies in stating the learning-content achievement standards of elementary mathematics curriculum, non-consistent use of the verb 'understand', 'know' and the noun 'meaning' which are used very frequently in the learning -content achievement standards of the Korean 2011 elementary mathematics curriculum are discussed. To this end, the modes that appear inconsistently in the 2011 curriculum, the 1997 curriculum, and the 2006 curriculum are investigated and analyzed. The result is that it is difficult to see that the verb 'understand', 'know' and the noun 'meaning' in the 2011 curriculum are used on the base of some principles. Based on this result, the following three suggestions are presented as the conclusions for the development of the future curriculum. First, it is necessary to restrict the contexts in which the verb 'understand' is used in stating the learning-content achievement standards. Second, it is necessary to clarify the difference between the verb 'know' and the verb 'understand'. Third, when 'the meaning of ~ ' is used, it is necessary to clarify what the meaning implies.

Analysis of Standard Nursing Statements Recorded in an Electronic Nursing Record System and User Satisfaction (전자간호기록에 사용된 표준간호진술문 활용실태와 시스템 사용자 만족도)

  • Purpose: The aims of this study were to analyze the frequency of standard nursing statements used in the Electronic Nursing Record (ENR) and to evaluate the degree of satisfaction by users of the ENR system. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the ENR of 1914 patients who were admitted to our center between 1 May 2011 and 31 May 2011. Additionally, we collected questionnaires from 100 doctors and 300 nurses to evaluate the satisfaction of the users. Results: The frequency of use for the following standard nursing statements was investigated: standard nursing assessment statements (43.6%), standard nursing diagnosis statements (61.8%), standard nursing plan statements (46.7%), standard nursing intervention statements (56.9%), and standard nursing evaluation statements (41.7%). The mean satisfaction score was 3.03 out of 5 in the nurse's group, and 3.11 in the doctor's group. The nurses said the advantages of the ENR system were as follows: easy to access, informative, and standardized terms. However 75.7% of the nurse answered that they cannot express actual nursing situations exactly with the currently limited standard nursing statements. Conclusion: Development of various standard nursing statements is needed to meet the demands of the users. As a result, the use of the ENR system would become easier and more efficient for its users.

A Case Analysis of Intentional Car Explosion (고의에 의한 승용차폭발 사례의 분석)

  • This study analyzed the cause of car explosion that occurred in the riverside park. The car carrying a male driver and a female passenger was parked in the park and explosion occurred inside the car. After the explosion, the driver and the passenger got burned. When they went to the hospital by the 119 Rescue Service, they stated that the car was sprayed with thinner before they had a quarrel and the explosion occurred during their quarrel. However, after several days, they changed their statement. They said that gasoline in the plastic bottle was poured and ran into the cigarette lighter. They tried to pull the cigarette lighter but pushed it by mistake. Then explosion occurred. Because only the explosion by mistake could receive car insurance, whether the cause of explosion was intentional or not became an issue. The car exploded was carefully investigated and analyzed. The statement of the driver and passenger was analyzed in the aspect of fire science. As a result, it was demonstrated that this car explosion occurred by driver's intention.

A Study of the participation experiences of the Self-Sufficiency Program : Focusing on participants in Self-Sufficiency Program (자활사업 참여경험에 관한 연구 : 자활사업 참여자를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand how participants' experiences of participating in self-sufficiency projects were. To do this, we analyzed phenomenological methods using in-depth interview data of 48 participants from the Central Self-Sufficiency Foundation, which is qualitative data of the "Project for Strengthening Self-Support for the Working Poor". The study revealed 214 meaningful statements and general re-statements, 24 themes, 9 themes cluster, and 5 categories. Participants' experience was found to be forced work, felt alienated from the self-sufficiency business, and could not receive a clear vision for the future. At the same time, the experience of participating is an opportunity for motivation for change in one's own life, and the essence of becoming a stepping stone to move forward for self-reliance has been derived. Based on the results of this study, we proposed a practical policy task to create a positive expectation effect.

  • This study started to examine the understanding and perception of 'disabled people' and 'non-disabled people', one of the dichotomous elements in the 21st century social integration era. In particular, for the analysis, Q-methodology, which should respond based on the respondent's inner self and perception, was used. For the analysis, 32 Q-statements were secured, and as a result of targeting 20 P-sample respondents, three types were derived as follows. In , statements such as 'A correct awareness of disability is necessary' and 'Disability can occur to anyone' are emphasized, so it was named 「Correct Perception Emphasis Type」. emphasized 'The life of the disabled is not easy' and 'The disabled need an opportunity to participate in society' and was named 「The Life of the Disabled Understanding Type」. emphasized statements such as 'Economic support is necessary for the disabled' and 'The welfare budget for the disabled must be sufficiently secured', and was named 「Institutional Support Emphasis Type」. Therefore, in addition to the necessity of correct recognition of disability and disability in our society, we expect this study result is to be priming water for improving the recognition of the disabled.

Study of Spatial Characteristics with Polyphony Film -Focused on the Movie Rashomon- (폴리포니 필름으로 본 공간적 특성 연구 -영화 <라쇼몽>을 중심으로-)

  • The characters' voices in the movie, Rashomon mean the absence of memories created by self-consciousness in order to avoid the crisis. The varying statements of the characters and the three spaces: the space of Nakanimon (th e ruins), the representation space as polyphony (the forest), the egoistic space of truth (the guardian), show the social ills of doubtfulness and mistrust among the Japanese at that time due to the defeat from the war. This matches with the polyphony theory of Mr. Bakhtin, a Russian cultural critic. The key concept of polyphony theory is that the voices that do not accord each other are not harmonized but each voice builds their own world and participates in the novel without being influenced by the creator. This study's aim is to discuss two aspects; Bakhtin's polypony theory allows polyphony film s to function as cinematic composition and spatial characteristics of polyphony films in the movie, Rashomon.

A Convergence Study on Nurses' Experiences Participating in a Preceptorship Program (프리셉터십 프로그램 참여 간호사의 경험에 대한 융합적 고찰)

  • This study was to find the experiences of preceptor and preceptee nurses for attending the preceptorship program and to improve the preceptorship program. Nine participants were recruited using the purposive sampling method. A semi-structured questionnaire was designed to gather in-depth interview data from 4 preceptee nurses and 5 preceptor nurses in 4 hospitals from May 1, 2018 to June 20, 2018. The data were interpreted using a thematic analysis. The experiences of preceptee nurses for attending the preceptorship program consisted of 4 themes, the experiences of preceptor nurses for attending the preceptorship program consisted of 5 themes. In this study, the preceptorship program was effective not only in training preceptee nurses but also in enhancing job satisfaction and capacity of preceptor nurses. However, in order to operate the preceptor program more efficiently, active support of the hospital and systematic preparation of the nursing department are needed. In addition to developing curriculum for the preceptor nurses, the appropriate compensation for the preceptor nurses and working conditions should be provided for their efforts.
