  • The goal of this study is to develop a skill system for the areas of textile and clothing among the skill systems that require basic examination in the development of skill standards. More specifically, the study aims to classify skills in the areas of textile and clothing and to develop respective skill level. We classified skills and created the skill level through a study of documents, interview with experts and in-depth discussions with expert group centering on terminologies commonly used in the industrial settings. As a result of skill classification, we were able to classify skills into three categories in medium-scale classification, 10 categories in small-scale classification, and again into total 22 categories. We classified the skill level in the areas of textile and clothing into 7 stages. Based on the skill system, we provided definition of skill and skill group, definition of each different skill, and performance standard by skill and level.

Six levels were identified for the definition of job level and the development of performance level by reflecting job levels by expertise. Under the consideration of the unique characteristics of the environment field, job levels were also defined in accordance with each area such as 'environment plan and assessment', 'measurement and analysis of environment', 'environment management', 'environment design and construction', 'environment health management', 'environment resources management', 'environment management and consulting', and 'environment education'. Based on these classification, the definitions of jobs and the standards of performances by jobs and levels were resulted in through a consultation consisting of experts in the environment industry and academy.

  • In this paper, we propose a Leveled Micro-Degree Job Competency Certification Model that considers the level of the job based on the job defined in the NCS. There is a mismatch of manpower due to the problem of university education that cannot keep up with the rapidly changing technological environment caused by the 4th Industrial Revolution. The Nano-Degree and Micro-Degree systems designed to solve this problem are used for job competency certification of cyber security personnel. NCS sub-categorized job field is defined as Micro-Degree and detailed job by ability unit is defined as Nano-Degree, the level of the ability unit defined by level is equally applied to the Micro-Degree. And it is a system that certifies the job competency corresponding to the degree-based university academic background. By applying this system to the curriculum of Cyber Security School, Yeungnam University College, we proposed a method to configure the Nano-Degree course based on NCS duties. The method proposed in this paper can be used as a method for verifying job competency of Nano-Degree and Micro-Degree, which are recently introduced by many universities.

  • This study has an objective to analyze the causal relationship between the business resource of the members in the Airport Special Guard's firms and its effect on their business attitude and turnover intention. To carry out the study, I established a population of Airport Special Guard's working at the Airport firms in In-cheon, Kim-po, Cheong-ju and Dae-gu. Then a total of 300 questionnaires were sent out for the survey using the random sampling method of clusters. The study was carried out over about four months, from July, 2016 to october, 2016. A total of 260 questionnaires were used for the final data. 40 questionnaires were excluded either because they were not returned or contained extreme value. In this study, a statistical package of SPSS WIN 18.0 were used in the data analysis and the causal relationship was verified using the multiple regression analysis. The analysis showed the business resource to have a positive effect on the business attitude but a negative effect statistical level of p<.01 on the turnover intention at the statistical level of p<.001 and the hypothesis was adopted. The hypothesis regarding the business attitude was also adopted because business attitude was found to have a negative effect on the turnover intention at the statistical level of p<.01. In addition, business attitude was found to have a negative effect on the relationship between the business resource and turnover intention at the statistical level of p<.05. As a result, the hypothesis about the business attitude would function as the parameter was only partially adopted. Through these research result, it was investigated that the relation between business resource, business attitude and turnover intention is significantly effective variable in airport special guard's. Additionally, business resource is the most important.

  • Successful industries that have maintained their competitiveness are characterized by well-established skills framework system. Skills framework establishes the agreed-upon, industry-identified knowledge, skills and abilities required to succeed in the workplace. Skills framework forms a solid foundation for the development of outcomes-based instruction and assessment, thus it benefits industry, students, educators and government. Each group has a major stake in the education of our students and in the efficient development of a productive workforce. Particularly in fast-changing fields like information security, relevant data that accurately reflect current and future knowledge and skills enable timely direction of resources, development and revision of industry-relevant curriculum, and efficient development of career information and job profiles. Skills framework occupies an indispensable position in any dialog concerning education or training in technical fields. In this study, we develop the skills framework for information security professionals.

  • The purposes of this study were to: a) provide evidence concerning the effects of emotional intelligence on job outcomes, b) examine the impacts of emotional intelligence on employee-related variables such as 'job satisfaction', 'organizational commitment', 'organizational performance', and 'turnover intention' c) identify the conceptual framework underlying emotional intelligence. A survey was conducted to collect data from foodservice managers (N=231). Statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (16.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and AMOS (16.0) for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar screens of many leaders and managers over the last several decades. The emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thinking and interaction with others. The main results of this study were as follows. The four EI (Emotional Intelligence) dimensions correlated significantly with age. The means of job satisfaction score were above the midpoint (3.04 point) scale. The organizational commitment score was above the midpoint (3.41 point) scale and was higher at 'loyalty' factor than 'commitment' factor. The means of organizational performance score were above the midpoint (3.34) scale. The correlations among the four EI (emotional intelligence) factors were significant with job satisfaction; organizational commitment, organizational performance and turnover intention. The test of hypothesis using structural equation modeling found that emotional intelligence produced positive effects on job attitude and job performance. Emotional intelligence enhanced organizational commitment, and in turn, managers' attitude produced positive effects on organizational performance; emotional intelligence also had a direct impact on organizational performance. This study has identified the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational performance and attitudes toward one's job.
