  • 최근 기존 전통산업의 성장 잠재력의 한계를 극복하기 위하여 산업간 융합을 통한 새로운 산업 및 기술을 발굴하려는 다양한 노력들이 산업전반에서 전개되고 있는 실정이다. 특히 의복형태의 컴퓨터로 대표되는 웨어러블 컴퓨터는 섬유 및 의류 기술과 IT 기술과의 산업적 융합의 대표적인 분야라고 할 수 있다. 본 고에서는 새로운 성장 아이템으로 주목 받고 있는 웨어러블 컴퓨터 기술에 관하여 간략히 소개하고, 현재 웨어러블 컴퓨터 산업을 주도하고 있는 기술 접근방법별로 개발 현황 및 기술 동향에 대해 살펴 본 뒤, 웨어러블 컴퓨터 기술의 발전방향에 대하여 전망해 보고자 한다.

  • The model to calculate the solar radiation at the surface was developed and the annual global solar radiation calculated by the model was compared with the KMA(Korea Meteorological Administration) surface measured data The difference between calculated and measured values was distinguished clearly because of the calibration problem of the pyranometer, but the global distribution of solar radiation calculated by the model was very similar to NREL(National Renewable Energy Laboratory) result of USA.

  • Large solar flares are associated with various aspects of space weather effects. Numerous attempts have been made to predict when the solar flare will be occurred mainly based on the configuration of the magnetic field of its flaring site. We analyze the time series of f/g which indicates a representative measure of the sunspot complexity to see whether it shows a possibility to be predicted without huge amounts of observation. Two kinds of analysis results are presented. One is from its power spectrum giving that there's no significantly persistent periodicity within a few days. Its de-trended fluctuation shows the Hurst exponent larger than 0.5 implying that the f/g time series has a long-term memory in time scales less than 10 days.

  • In this study, various materials such as epoxy material, urethane material, cement material, and acrylic material are used to solve the water leakage occurring in underground structures. However, in the reality that the durability is insufficient and the effect is insufficient, it is aimed to improve the repairing effect by using cement and acrylics in combination. As a first study, we tried to verify the performance of improve the performance by checking the product properties according to the composition ratio of polyacrylic resin. Polyacrylic resin is evaluated in three different composition ratios. When the material is selected for polyacrylic resin, it is applied to the field to understand the maintenance effect and durability.

  • One of the important purposes o Telecommunications power plant operation is to supply safe power for maintaining the reliable communication services. Therefore, the power plant operation support system is generally used for efficient and maintenance of power plant without the increment of the operation and maintenance staffs. To operate and maintain a number of power plants efficiently, Korea Telecom developed centralized power plant monitoring and control system. In this paper, the system feature and main functions are described.

  • Various CMOS quadrature-voltage-controlled oscillators(QVCOs) are designed and fabricated for the comparison of the phase noise. The core VCO is composed of two Colpitts oscillators which are cross-coupled with PMOS pair. For the comparison of phase noise with the proposed scheme, the conventional LC VCO followed by the frequency-divide-by-two is designed. The simulation result demonstrate that the proposed scheme shows better phase noise performance by 6dB than that of a conventional scheme in which LC VCO is followed by the frequency-divide-by-two.

  • A broadband microstrip balun is proposed and designed using a ${\lambda}/4$short-stub in order to compensate phase imbalance. For the demonstration, two baluns are proposed and designed using a ${\lambda}/4$ shorted stub. One is a modified form of the conventional Wilkinson balun, and the other is a modified ring hybrid. Baluns are implemented on TLX-9 substrate of which the dielectric constant is 2.54 and the thickness is 0.5mm. The measurements show a bandwidth of 500MHz at the center frequency of 2GHz.

  • The voltage drop in distribution path of battery-reserved DC power system can affect the total of battery, cable and electricity costs. To determine an optimum voltage drop in distribution path for minimizing the total cost, battery, cable and electricity costs are represented as a function of the voltage drop, respectively, and are summed up to the total cost. An optimum voltage drop is selected as the value giving the minimum total cost. In this paper, a design technique of optimum voltage drop in distribution path of DC power system is proposed to minimize the total of battery, cable and electricity costs. The design procedure is described and design curve for selecting optimum voltage drop is also presented as a function of distribution distance.

  • 충북 단양에 위치한 조일 광산에서 채취한 구리와 아연으로 오염된 광미 (광산 폐기물로서 금속 추출 후 남은 찌꺼기)를 효율적으로 처리하기 위하여 생물학적 용출기법(bioleaching)의 효율 증진에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 기본 배지 조성(9K medium) 중 미생물의 성장 및 증식, 용출 효율에 영향을 미치는 인자인 에너지원, 인, 질소원의 농도를 변화시키며 배지 조성에 따른 중금속의 용출 효율을 관찰하였다. 그 결과 인 농도 변화는 인을 첨가하지 않았을 때, 아연과 구리의 용출 효율이 각각 98.8%와 47.5%로 나타났고, 질소원은 45mM 농도로 주입하였을 때 아연, 구리 각각 85%와 46.4%의 용출 효율을 보였다. 에너지원 변화에 서는 아연의 경우 에너지원을 첨가하지 않았을 때 93%의 용출 효율을 나타냈고, 구리의 경우는 160mM 첨가했을 때 46.4%로 가장 높은 용출 효율을 나타냈다.

  • 충북 단양에 위치한 조일 광산에서 채취한 구리와 아연으로 오염된 광미(광산 폐기물로서 금속 추출 후 남은 찌꺼기)를 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 생물학적 용출기법(bioleaching) 에서 기본 배지 조성(9K medium)을 변화시켜 미생물의 표면 특성을 측정하고 미생물 표면 특성이 용출 효율에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 인을 첨가하지 않았을 때 소수성 값은 62.5%, 질소원 농도가 45mM일 때의 소수성 값은 66.7%로 미생물 표면 특성이 가장 소수성인 특성을 가지고 있었으며, 구리와 아연의 용출 효율도 가장 높게 나타나는 상관 관계를 나타냈다. 또한 광미에 부착된 미생물의 양을 측정해 본 결과, 미생물 표면 특성이 소수성일수록 광미에 부착된 미생물의 양도 많다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
