This study was to examine the relationship between self-differentiation and mental health of elderly couples. This study also tries to investigate the effect of self-differentiation on mental health. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaire method with 271 elderly couples over 55 years old who lived in Chollabuk-Do province. The results showed that first, there was no significant difference in the level of total self-differentiation between husbands and wives. While the level of mental health(depression, somatization) were higher for wives than for husbands. Second, both husbands' and wives' mental health were negatively correlated with self-differentiation. Finally, results of multiple regression analyses showed that both husbands' and wives' mental health were negatively influenced by self-differentiation. Specifically, the variable significant affecting the husbands' mental health was the emotional reactivity of self-differentiation and the variable significant wives' mental health was the emotional cut-off of self-differentiation. These findings confirmed the concept of self-differentiation in applying to mental health of elderly couples.

This study illuminates the relationship between childhood abuse experiences and early maladaptive schemas, and compares the moderating effects of expressive suppression and cognitive reappraisal within this relationship. Conducting a self-report survey among 220 graduate students in Daejeon and Chungcheong regions, data from 210 participants were analyzed. The results notably revealed that the interaction effect of suppression, but not cognitive reappraisal, significantly moderates the relationship between childhood abuse experiences and disconnection/rejection schemas. Specifically, high levels of expressive suppression were associated with a decrease in the negative impact of childhood abuse on disconnection/rejection schemas, whereas low levels of suppression increased this negative impact. This suggests that for individuals with long-standing early maladaptive schemas, which have solidified over time akin to personality traits, cognitive reappraisal strategies may be less effective in inducing change. Conversely, expressive suppression strategies may more effectively reduce the intensity of disconnection/rejection schemas, among other early maladaptive schemas. These findings provide important implications for understanding the long-term effects of childhood abuse and developing intervention strategies to mitigate its resultant maladaptive schemas. Based on the outcomes of this study, suggestions for future research are discussed, along with the potential applicability and limitations of suppression and reappraisal strategies in psychological interventions.
The objective of this study was to determine the effects of self-differentiation and ego-resilience on service maladjustment behaviors of Social Service Agent. To achieve this, we chose these research questions. To verify these research questions, data were collected by distributing 470 questionnaires to Social Service Agent serving in service organizations located in Seoul. Four hundred twenty-seven surveys were used for statistical analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, Social Service Agents were shown to generally adjust well to service, as self-differentiation and ego-resilience were slightly higher than the median, while service maladjustment behavior was slightly lower than the median. Second, when the effects of sociodemographic characteristics, self-differentiation and ego-resilience on service maladjustment behavior were studied, all values of sociodemographic characteristics, self-differentiation and ego-resilience affected all lower factors of service maladjustment behavior with significance. For social withdrawal, the effectiveness of interpersonal relations, optimistic attitude, and the degree of family regression had a negative correlation, and emotional divorce, education level, and term of service had a positive correlation. The degree of family regression, anger management, and cognitive function vs. emotional function had a negative correlation with hyperactivity while self unity had a positive one. Family regression, cognitive function vs. emotional function, anger management, and family's economic level negatively correlated with aggression. Family regression, optimistic attitude, cognitive function vs. emotional function, family's economic level and term of service had a negative correlation with obsession and compulsion.
The purpose of this study was to investigate variables which have an influence on young children's peer interactions. The data of 966 4-year-old children and their parents and class teachers were extracted from the 5th Panel Study on Korean Children in 2012 by Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The data were analyzed by means of ANOVA, Pearson's coefficient and multiple regression. The results were as follows: First, boys' play disruption and play disconnection were higher than girls', and girls' play interaction was higher than boys'. Second, sociability and activity of temperament, and teacher-child interaction were related to peer disruption. Third, teacher-child interaction and sociability of temperament significantly affected play interaction. Controlling parenting behavior of the mother was positively related to peer interaction in girls. Fourth, teacher-child interaction, sociability and emotionality of temperament significantly affected play disconnection. Social parenting behavior of the father was negatively related to play disconnection in boys. Lastly, teacher-child interaction was the clearest indicator for young children' peer interactions. These findings suggested a potential role of the teacher in young children's peer interactions.

This study aimed to firstly, understand how adolescents' mental, physical, sentimental, and health status and daily life have changed due to drastic environmental changes resulted from spending more time at home and taking online classes as a part of social distancing in the COVID-19 pandemic and secondly, identify how such changes influenced their subjective happiness. In conclusion, this study provided theoretical and practical discussion and implications for adolescents' happiness in disaster situation based on adolescent happiness influence factors.
This review aims to propose a model that can reinterpret the abnormal and functional connections between cognitive processes and emotional regulations based on the neurocognitive networks for a comprehensive understanding of pathologic processes and treatment approach of depression and anxiety disorder. Through the processes of rebuilding the network model for depression and anxiety disorder, it was confirmed that depression can be said to be 'over-immersion in self-referencing' due to hyper-activation of default mode network (DMN), and anxiety disorders to be 'disconnection with self-referencing' due to hypo-activation of DMN. The attempts to link up between abnormal activation and pathological function of DMN which is thought to be involved in self-referential processing associated with self-consciousness and projection among neurocognitive networks may be another starting point that can afford to be suggestive in integrated interpretation and therapeutic approach to depression and anxiety disorder.
This study was conducted with 193 pairs of mother-in-law and son-in-law to examine the mediating effect of marital satisfaction on the relationship between interpersonal differentiation and affectual solidarity. Using SPSS and PROCESS macro program, descriptive statistical analysis(frequency, ratio, mean, and standard deviation) and mediating effect analysis through bootstrapping were performed. The main research results are as follows. First, in the case of the son-in-law, his own marital satisfaction completely mediated the relationship between the sub-factors of interpersonal differentiation (fusion with others, emotional cutting) and affectual solidarity. Second, in the case of mother-in-law, the perceived daughter's marital satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between the sub-factors of interpersonal differentiation (connectivity, separability) and affectual solidarity. These findings suggest the functional importance of the marital system for a healthy relationship between mother-in-law and son-in-law.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the effects of both young children's gender and temperament and their teachers' teaching efficacy and teacher-child interactions on peer play interactions. For this purpose, the data from the 2012 Panel Study on Korean Children were analyzed using analyses of variances and correlation co-efficiencies. In addition, analyses of hierarchical regression, with young children's temperament and teacher-related factors (teaching efficacy and teacher-child interactions) as the independent variables and three sub-factors of peer play interactions (play interaction, play disruption, play disconnection) as the dependent variables, were conducted. The results showed that young children's temperament, teacher efficacy, teacher-child interactions, and peer play interactions differed by gender and significantly correlated. Young children's temperament and teacher-child interactions significantly affected young children's peer play interactions, and the effect of teacher-child interactions was larger than the effect of temperament by 2~2.5 times. The results proved the importance of early childhood teachers' roles in the development of young children's peer interactions with consideration of differences based on children's gender and temperament. With the results given, implications and suggestions for further research were discussed.
This study focuses on the play aspect of the existing digital games and VR games as part of a basic research for facilitating discussion on VR games. As a method for this research, the play aspect of digital games was classified based on the play theory by Johan Huizinga and Roger Caillois, followed by examination on the play characteristics of VR games according to the established classification. As a result, VR games share a significant portion of play characteristics with digital games. Nevertheless, in VR games the player is allowed unimpeded physical activity while having the HMD on and complete disconnection from the real world via new input/output devices. In the end, the transformation of play environment results in various sensory stimulation, and in turn influences the player's experiences in areas such as presence, immersion, emotional enjoyment and satisfaction. This study is expected to serve as an important indicator for studies on the characteristics of VR contents which is certain to develop in a wide range of directions in the future.
We were already thrown into the modern by the Japanese before reflecting the relevance of modernization and acceptance, and the value of the modern was postponed. The late period of Chosun, people sank into a state of torpor and traditional culture and ideology has caused people to have a negative perception of modern times.Modern times, however, are defined in the relative concept of tradition and modernity in the history of modern times. In order to understand the modern era and its origin, it is necessary to look squarely at the face of modernity. Failure of modern times is a failure of traditional succession. So, if we analyze the causes of the failure of the traditional heritage, why can't we see some of the reasons why we perceive it as a failure? In this thesis, it seeks to understand the diverse views of the traditional elites of the journal and the newspaper, which are published in the traditional education of the journal, and are looking at a variety of views. Moreover, we should seek to explore the traditional elements of the new tradition by discussing the aspects of the educational problems caused by the cause of the accidental break and the educational problems caused by its results.
