Relationships between Self-Efficacy, Career Maturity, and Information Subject Achievement According to Information Classes (정보교과수업에 따른 자기효능감, 진로성숙도, 정보교과성취도의 관계)

  • In this study, in order to investigate the relationships between the self-efficacy, career maturity, and information subject achievement of information-specialized high school students according to information subject classes, their correlations were analyzed through a survey of 214 second and third year students enrolled in two information-specialized high schools in Seoul. The main results are as follows. First, in the analysis of differences in self-efficacy, career maturity, and information subject achievement according to demographic characteristics, there was no significant difference according to gender, grade, extracurricular or individual learning for information subjects. The more they recognized that their grades belonged to the upper group, the higher their sense of self-efficacy and information subject achievement were perceived, and the higher their career maturity. Second, the students' self-efficacy was analyzed to have a positive effect on their career maturity and information subject achievement. Finally, it was found that the students' career maturity had a positive effect on their information subject achievement. Based on the above results, we briefly present the development direction for the education system to improve students' self-efficacy, career maturity, and information subject achievement.

  • The purpose of this paper is the development of course data models and learning achievement computation algorithms for enabling the course-embedded assessment(CEA), which is essential of competency-based education in higher education. The previous works related CEA have weakness in the development of the systematic solution for CEA computation. In this paper, we propose data models and algorithms to implement competency-based assessment system. Our data models are composed of a layered architecture of learning outcomes, learning modules and activities, and an associative matrix of learning outcomes and activities. The proposed methods can be applied to the development of the course-embedded assessment system as core modules. We evaluated the effectiveness of our proposed models through applying the models to a practical course, Java Programing. From the result of the experiments we found that our models can be used in the assessment system as a core module.

  • 본 논문에서는 프로그래밍 교과에서 학습참여도가 성취도에 끼치는 영향을 규명하였다. 학습참여도는 예습참여도, 수업참여도, 복습참여도로서 학습활동별로 측정되었다. 중다회귀분석 결과, 세 개의 독립변수는 성취도를 설명하는 모형은 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 예습참여도는 성취도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 유의한 영향을 미치는 두 요인 중 상대적 기여도는 복습참여도, 수업참여도 순인 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 프로그래밍 교과의 성취도 향상을 위한 교수학습 전략을 제시하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the programming capability for the students majoring in H/W. For implementing this purpose, first, the academic achievements on the C language and C++ language are measured for the graduates-to-be majoring in H/W and S/W. Second, the H/W and S/W curriculum are compared and analyzed to derive the relevant factors to give influence on the academic achievement of the programming. Third, to find the influence of mathematic competence on the academic achievement of the programming, the relevance is analyzed in terms of the regression analyses between mathematics curriculum and programing curriculum. This paper presents the effective teaching method for the improvement of the programming academic achievement in the H/W curriculum.

The Development and Application of a Flipped Learning-Based Smart Teaching and Learning System for Elementary Subject Matter Education (초등 교과 교육을 위한 플립 러닝 기반 스마트 교수-학습 시스템의 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study was threefold: to design and develop a smart teaching and learning system based on flipped learning for elementary subject matter education; to apply the system to the elementary classroom; and to examine the effects of the system on students' achievement and satisfaction levels. The system was composed of a video part, a date part, and a learning line part. Presentations, preinstructional videos, and spreadsheets were created for the flipped classroom. The results of the analyses indicated that the teaching and learning system positively influenced students' achievement and satisfaction levels. The study concluded with the implications of the study and suggestions for the future study.

  • Rising rate of IT industry in world economy, major countries strengthen IT education. Especially, Owing to SW become significant in IT industry, curriculums of school to enlarge SW education are made in major country. Korea Association of Information Education have studied a new curriculum and suggest a new plan that content of information education classify by 'computer system', 'SW production' and 'fusion activity'. Therefore we study on a curriculum for information of SW production of elementary and middle school. In this paper we firstly suggest object to achieve on information of SW production of elementary and middle school. Next we suggest teaching learning method and evaluation method on them. we expect that the object to achieve on information of SW production we suggest will contribute to develop the curriculum of ICT subject.

  • In this study, a model that can converge with artificial intelligence in each subject as software and artificial intelligence education become mandatory in the curriculum revised in 2022 is proposed. The proposed AI convergence education model is based on the content of the subject (accomplishment standard + subject). The second axis is artificial intelligence tools, the third axis is artificial intelligence technology, and the fourth axis is data applied in daily life. In order to apply artificial intelligence to each subject, it is necessary to apply artificial intelligence tools, artificial intelligence technology, and data in daily life to the achievement standards and content of each subject. If the achievement standards and subject contents are structured in this way, it can be seen that the convergence with each subject is good. Therefore, when composing textbooks by achievement standards and topics, it is necessary to add artificial intelligence tools, artificial intelligence technology, and daily data.

  • The National Assessment of Educational Achievement has been conducted in the form of sampling assessment until 2007, but it was converted into sampling assessment one hundred percent working with relevant whole students in 2008. Therefore, the necessity of new study on the national assessment system of educational achievement was on the rise. The National Assessment System of Educational Achievement, which was implemented in this thesis was designed to analyze educational achievement status all over the province, total score and score frequency distribution per subject, item difficulty and item discrimination, degree of attraction of wrong answers, educational achievement per subject, gender, region, office of education, school, individual and status of students with high educational achievement.

Analysis of textbook contents according to the 2015 revised Elementary Software Education Achievement Standards (2015 개정 초등 소프트웨어교육 성취기준에 따른 교과서 내용 분석)

  • In this study, the contents of the Software Education area included in the Practical Art textbooks of the elementary school were analyzed based on the achievement standards of the Software Education in the 2015 revised curriculum for exploring the characteristics of the Software Education and the direction to go. According to the results of the analysis, the five achievement standards presented by the Ministry of Education were assigned to 17 or 18 times according to the textbooks. Unplugged activities related to Algorithm and unplugged activities related to Computer Science were included in textbooks. Contents of [6P04-09] and [6P04-10] standards were shown differently according to textbooks.Based on the results, it is suggested that Subsequent studies with quantitative and qualitative analysis for six kinds of textbooks should be continue.

  • This thesis is the study of the relationship between school libraries and academic achievement. This thesis defines research areas between shool libraries and academic achivement, analyzes the representive related thesis, and then partly applies meta-analysis methodology. This thesis presents research sciences, research methodologies, statistical techniques, and research pursuit pertinent to Korea for the scientific research between school libraies and academic achievement. In the future, to develop school libraries in the long term, in-depth academic research must be developed. The focus of the research should include the MLS and Ph. D. thesis of 'education of information and library as a subject matter' field to analyze the realtionship between school libraries and academic achievement.
