This paper is aimed to find electrical fire danger for analyzing the characteristics of temperature, current and voltage signals for motor on electric fan. In order to attain this purpose, detected were the temperature, current and voltage signals on electric wire with free (normal state) and locked (abnormal state) motor. For voltage and current signals, voltage signal is no big difference with normal and abnormal states and current signal is higher in abnormal state (highest 309 mA) than the normal state (highest 203 mA). In the case of Temperature signal, the temperature distribution of the motor as a whole is different. It is difference in the case of the normal state $4^{\circ}C$ and the abnormal state $18^{\circ}C$. In particular, most of the electric wiring to the motor of the fan is attached to the fixture of motor back. Considering at allowable temperature ($60^{\circ}C$) of the electric wire could be accelerated to insulation deterioration. The results of this study will be effectively used in analyzing for electric fire and developing the preventive devices of electric fan.

Recently the subject of "wavelet analysis" has be drawn by both mathematical and engineering application fields such as Signal Processing, Compression/Decomposition, Wavelet-Neural Network, Statistics and etc. Even though its similar to Fourier analysis, wavelet is a versatile tool with much mathematical content and great potential for applications. Especially, wavelet transform uses localizable various mother wavelet functions in time-frequency domain. Therefore, wavelet transform has good time-analysis ability for high frequency component, and has good frequency-analysis ability for low frequency component. Using the discriminative ability is more easy method than other conventional techniques. In this paper, Morlet wavelet transform was applied to discriminate the kind of line fault by acquired data from real power transformation network. The experimental result presented that Morlet wavelet transform is easier, and more useful method than the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT).
Error control is one of major concerns in many electronic systems. Experience shows that most malfunctions during system operation are caused by transient faults, which often mean abnormal signal delays that may result in violations of circuit element timing constraints. This paper presents a novel CMOS-based concurrent timing error detector that makes a flip-flop to sense and then signal whether its data has been potentially corrupted or not by a setup or hold timing violation. Designed circuit performs a quiescent supply current evaluation to determine timing violation from the input changes in relation to a clock edge. If the input is too close to the clock time, the resulting switching transient current in the detection circuit exceeds a reference threshold at the instant of the clock transition and an error is flagged. The circuit is designed with a $0.25{\mu}m$ standard CMOS technology at a 2.5 V supply voltage. The validity and effectiveness are verified through the HSPICE simulation. The simulation results in this paper shows that designed circuit can be used to detect setup and hold time violations effectively in clocked circuit element.
In this paper, we propose a method to use PV(Park's Vector) pattern for inductive motor stator fault diagnosis using CNN(Convolution Neural Network). The conventional CNN based fault diagnosis method was performed by imaging three-phase currents, but this method was troublesome to perform normalization by artificially setting the starting point and phase of current. However, when using PV pattern, the problem of normalization could be solved because the 3-phase current shows a certain circular pattern. In addition, the proposed method is proved to be superior in the accuracy of CNN by 18.18[%] compared to the previous current data image due to the autonomic normalization.

Porous silicon layers were fabricated with various conditions of HF concentration and current density. And their masses were measured. From these data, the porosity and fractal dimension were estimated and analyzed. We found that the porosity was proportional to the current density when the anodic reaction time was fixed and the constant values of fractal dimension could be estimated from a series of data with fixed HF concentration. The values of fractal dimension were decreased with increasing HF concentration. The obtained porosity and fractal dimension were compared with the 2-dimensional computer simulation based on diffusion limited deposition model. According to the simulation, the porosity was proportional to the diffusion length and the fractal dimension was inversely proportional to the diffusion length. Since, the diffusion length is proportional to current density and inversely proportional to base concentration, our experimental data qualitatively agreed with the results from the simulation. The porosity obtained by experiments, however, was not consistent with the results by simulation.

This paper presents a framework that is based on a reconfigurable macro-model of current-mode logic (CML) high-speed digital circuits enabling equation-based design optimization. The proposed macro-model is compatible with geometric programming, thereby enabling constraint-driven top-level power optimization. The proposed optimization framework is applied to a design of CML based serial-link transmitter with user-defined design specifications as an example of high speed digital circuits using 45nm and 90nm CMOS technology. The proposed optimization framework can derive a design with optimal power efficiency for given transistor technology nodes.

Conventional delay-insensitive (DI) data encodings usually require 2N+1 wires for transferring N-bit. To reduce complexity and power dissipation of wires in designing a large scaled chip, an encoder and a decoder circuits, where N-bit data transfer can be peformed with only N+l wires, are proposed. These circuits are based on a quasi delay-insensitive (QDI) model and designed by using current-mode multiple valued logic (CMMVL). The effectiveness of the proposed data transfer mechanism is validated by comparisons with conventional data transfer mechanisms using dual-rail and 1-of-4 encodings through simulation at the 0.25 um CMOS technology. In general, simulation results with wire lengths of 4 mm or larger show that the CMMVL scheme significantly reduces delay-power product ($D{\ast}P$) values of the dual-rail encoding with data rate of 5 MHz or more and the 1-of-4 encoding with data rate of 18 MHz or more. In addition, simulation results using the buffer-inserted dual-rail and 1-of-4 encodings for high performance with the wire length of 10 mm and 32-bit data demonstrate that the proposed CMMVL scheme reduces the D*P values of the dual-rail encoding with data rate of 4 MHz or more and 1-of-4 encoding with data rate of 25 MHz or more by up to $57.7\%\;and\;17.9\%,$ respectively.

From the instant of installation and operation, power cables start deteriorating. Cable systems can be maintained not only by monitoring the insulation status of the insulation layer and oversheath, but also the insulation status of the terminal and junction in high-voltage power cables. When the cable system (the cable itself and cable junctions combined) deteriorates, fire accidents happen due to dielectric breakdowns. We have invented a device to monitor the deteriorating status of cables, and installed it at Korea Western Power Co. Ltd. located in Taean, Chungcheongnam-do Province. In this paper, we present the results obtained using our device, through analysing and calculating the standard deviation of leakage current from cable insulators attached to the cables. When the standard deviation of analysed leakage current falls below a critical value, a cable system is deemed to be operating safely. But when the standard deviation of analysed leakage current is larger than the critical value, the insulation status of the terminal and junction in the cable system is considered to have seriously deteriorated. The terminal and junction in the relevant system should then be replaced preemptively in order to prevent blackout accidents of cables caused by the suspension of power supply.

Electrical impedance tomography is an imaging technique to reconstruct the internal conductivity distribution based on applied small currents and measured voltages through an array of electrodes attached on the boundary of a domain of interest. In this paper, an analytical solver with complete electrode model is derived and the analytical voltage data are calculated. Moreover, the voltage data are also computed with existing numerical solvers such as finite element method and boundary element method. The forward solutions using homogeneous and inhomogeneous conditions are compared with phantom experiments through the root mean square errors.
