The purposes of this study were to present the learning framework and curriculum direction of the English education major and to suggest ways to enhance the English education-related curriculum and core competency more effectively. For these purposes, the needs of students in the English education department were identified and analyzed. After that, based on these results, Education 2030 Project and the 2015 revised English curriculum, the core competency-oriented education method of the English education department was proposed. The survey results are as follows: Many students in the Department of English Education were interested in their competencies, but did not know what they needed and how to actually strengthen them. They wanted to strengthen their competency with a core competency-oriented major curriculum. The results of this study, reflecting the national needs and core competencies of universities, suggested the direction for the development of the curriculum of the Department of English Education. In addition, the curriculum, teaching methods, and evaluation methods were organically linked to suggest ways to cultivate the required competencies more effectively.

The new plan for the current computer engineering involved in education and research in the values of the major and one of the female students, and you can improve your major satisfaction and retention training and development assessment process is the point of need. in computer engineering majors can be linked to the process of targeted quantitative and qualitative research conducted by the results of major and career choices of students turned out to be a mismatch could result in the phenomenon of female engineering escape. How to study ICT in education for female students to computer engineering major regional, historical and social context should be re-designed to suit the characteristics and analysis of exposed female students majoring computer engineering from anxiety and weak organization that has a sense of belonging, and to offer the first and is the appropriate teaching methods seems to be.

This study has two major purposes. One is to find out the impact of learning programming language on deciding major for freshmen who enter the university without specific major and decide their majors from sophomore. Another is to compare between 2015 group without specific major at freshmen and 2013 group who were not required to take program language courses. Our study has several important implications. First, this study is the first attempt to figure out the effects of the program language education on deciding major. Secondly, one can predict the effects and importance of software education which is going to imply to all highschool students starting from 2018. Thirdly, software education may help to alleviate science and engineering aversion.

This paper describes the development of curriculum for the division of Mechatronics in Samcheok University to meet the requirement of Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea(ABEEK). The curriculum of the department of mechatronics in South Korea and overseas university is analysed and then the curriculum is developed considering the synergistic combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, control engineering and computer engineering. And then the geopolitical condition of university is reflected in the curriculum. ABEEK requirements for major of engineering are also reflected. As a result, interdisciplinary curriculum that provides analytic capability and pragmatic qualification to students is developed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept of composition of educational service quality through two integrated research methods of open questionnaires and focus group interviews for college students majoring in beauty. Participants in the study majored in beauty at 2-year and 4-year universities nationwide. The enrolled students were set as a population, and 250 people were adopted as a random sampling method and used for the survey. The series of results are as follows. First, as a result of inductive content analysis of open questionnaires, the educational service quality of beauty majors was derived into five areas: major knowledge, educational quality, professor-student intimacy, student needs reflection, usability, curriculum composition, environmental efficiency, educational equipment, and reputation. Second, as a result of the focus group interview, inductive content analysis was more reasonably pointed out and derived in depth. As a result of this study, it is believed that it can be used as basic data for the development of measurement tools for educational service quality of beauty majors.

This paper tried to derive a GIS curriculum in geography and the estimation of the number of faculty members to teach GIS. To do this, geography departments of universities in Korea and the United States were compared based on the number of faculty members and the main structure of a GIS curriculum. Five universities of NCGIA and UCGIS in the United States and 27 universities in Korea were selected, and their GIS programs were analyzed on GIS curricula, the size of faculty, and program management. The US geography programs typically provide both GIS majors and GIS certificate programs, but Korean geography programs do not. At least, seven GIS courses(21 credits) are required for fulfillment of major degrees in the U.S., but only two courses(6 credits) are required in Korean geography programs. As far as the size of GIS faculty, it averages less than 25% of entire geography faculty in Korean universities, while it takes up about 31% in the U.S.. In this paper, the establishment of 19 GIS courses was suggested as a GIS curriculum for partial fulfillment of a geography major, and two GIS faculty members were recommended to maintain a stable GIS program of geography departments. The enhancement of GIS curricula and faculty size can provide geography graduates with more opportunities for employment and better react to diverse GIS-related public demands, which are important for the successful future of geography programs.

우리나라 복식산업의 전문인력 양식은 주로 대학교나 전문학원에서 이루어지고 있으며 수적인면에서는 충분한 인력이 양성되고 있다. 그러나 질적인 면에서 산업체에서 요구되는 역량을 가진 전문인은 부족한 편이다. 이에 따라 산업체의 요구에 부합하는 인력야성을위하여 교육과정의 개선이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실기교육 산학협력 및 산업체 현장실습이 활발히 이루어지고 있는 영국의 복식관련학과에 대하여 조사해 봄으로써 우리 교육의 개선방향을 모색하고자 한다. 영구의 경우 다양한 자격증 및 학위과정이 개설되어있으나 본 연구에서는 우리나라 학사학위에 해당되는 BA 및 Bsc만대상으로 하였으며 설문조사 문헌조사 및 사례연구를 통하여 현황 및 교과과정을 분석하였다 영국의 복식관련학과들은 그 교과과정 및 내용에 따라 크게 6개 전공분야로 분류되었으며 각 하과는 다시 세분화되어 전문성이 있는 교육이 이루어지고 있었다 또한 수업연한 및 과정의 형태에 따라 5개 유형으로 분류되었다, 이유형 중 특히 일년간의 현장실습을 학위과정으로 포함시켜 의무적으로 산업체에 근무하도록 되어있는 Sandwic Mode는 적극적인 산학협력의 한 형태로 매우 효율적으로 평가되는 교육체계이며 여러다른 학문 분야에서도 널리 활용되고 있는 체계이다. 교수진의 경우 전임교원이 수적인 면에서 다소 부족한 것으로 나타났으나 관련 산업체 인사 등을 시간강사로 고용함으로써 이를 보완 할 뿐 아니라 산학연계를 이루고 있었다. 또한 전임교원의 경우 주로 학사 혹은 석사의 학력을 가지고있었다. 그러나 모든 전임교수 뿐 아니라 시간강사의 경우도 산업체 경력을 필수 적으로 가지고있어 고학력위주의 우리나라 실정과는 매우 상이했다. 교과과정에 대한 사례연구에서 직물디자인에 집중된 2개 과의 교과과정을 보았으며 그중 한 개 과는 다시 편물 프린트 및 직물 디자인의 3분야로 세분화되어 심도 있는 교육이 이루어질 수 있는 것을 살펴보았다 또한 다른 3개의 예에서 볼수있듯이 2개 이상의 전공코스를 도입하여 공통과목과 전공 코스 과목을 둠으로써 시설 및 인적 자원의 활용 등 운영상 효율성을 추구함을 알수 있었다 또한 학생들의 경우 전문화된 코스의 선택을 할수 있게 하였다 이런 실례는 전문인력양성이 매우 필요하고 따라서 전공코스제의 도입의 필요성이 대두되고 있는 이시점에서 매우 유용하게 이용될수 있으리라고 생각된다. 영구의 교육이 우리나라 실정에 그대로 적용될 수는 없지만 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 시사점을 고려하여 우리교육을 개선해 나갈 수 있으리라고 생각한다. 첫째 교수진 인적 물적상황 및 지역적 상황등을 분석하여 각 대학별로 그 특성에 맞는 세분화되고 심도있는 전공교육과정을 개발 발전시켜 야 할 것이다 둘째 산업체 방문 산업체인사와의 면담 및 특강 등 산학협력을 좀더 적극적으로 모색하여야 할 것이다. 셋째 학생들의 산업체 현장 연수를 실질적으로 도입하여 산업체의 인력요구에 적극적으로 대처 할수 있어야 하겠다.

This study surveyed 289 beauty specialized high school students to analyze the relation between beauty curriculum awareness, career education satisfaction, and career decision efficacy. The beauty curriculum was concentrated towards the hair major and technical education for license acquisition, and the career plans were high in employment and college entrance admission. In terms of awareness and satisfaction of the beauty curriculum, nails and entrepreneurship were low (p<0.05, p<0.001), nails were low in career decision efficacy, and makeup and entrepreneurship was low in career education satisfaction (p<0.01, p<0.05). The career education satisfaction was higher as the beauty curriculum awareness rises, and educators had a positive influence on career education satisfaction. The following areas had the positive influence for each section; the school operation and facility area for job information, the curriculum area for future planning and problem solving, and the educator area for self-evaluation (p<0.05, p<0.001, p<0.001). Therefore, it is necessary to improve the curriculum in the majors of make-up, skin, and nails, and effective career education programs should be developed.

현장경험교육이란 학교교육의 일부로써 학생을 재학 중에 전공관련 작업 환경에 직접 참여시켜 교양적 혹은 직업적으로 필요한 교육경험을 얻도록 계획된 프로그램으로 우리나라에서는 현장실습이라는 용어로 행해지고 있다. 식품영양학 전공과 관련된 학과인 경우 단체급식과목의 일환으로 영양사 현장 실습이라는 교육과정을 시행하고 있는 학교는 많으나 현장실습에 대한 교육효과나 학생들의 요구사항등을 구체적으로 파악한 연구는 매우 제한적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실제로 영양사 현장실습을 체험한 학생을 대상으로 현행 영양사 현장실습이 안고 있는 제반 문제점들을 파악하고 효과적인 실습 운영 방안을 모색하고자 설문조사를 시행하였다. 이제 '이름뿐인 학부제'에서 벗어나 진정한 의미의 학부제를 시행해야 한다. 학부제가 필요한 분야를 파악하고, 필요성이 입증된 분야에서는 철저한 준비로 명실상부한‘학부’의 설립을 예비해야 한다. 복수전공 또는 부전공의 의무화, 연계전공의 다양화와 활성화, 교육과정의 교차 등이 그 과도기적 대비책이 될 것이며, 진정한 학부제의 완성을 위해 교수진으로 이루어진 교육자의 자발적이고 창의적인 노력과 정부의 행정적인 지원이 필요하다.
