  • This study used a latent growth curve models(LGCM) to examine longitudinal changes in youth's game usage, self-control and the longitudinal mediation effect of adaptive game use in the relationship between game usage and self-control. A four-year longitudinal data of 863 adolescents from the Game User Panel Survey, provided through participation in the 2019 Game User Panel Research Conference hosted by the Korea Creative Contents Agency, was used to verify the longitudinal mediation effect of adaptive game use. SPSS 21 was used to verify the normality of variables from each wave, and to conduct correlation analysis. Mplus 6.12 was used to verify the longitudinal mediation effect. The results are as follows. First, game usage, self-control and adaptive game yielded linear temporal growth. Second, latent growth curve models showed that the direct effect of game usage on self-control was insignificant, but game usage had a significant indirect effect on self-control through adaptive game use. Continuous adaptive gaming increased self-control. Third, sobel test results showed that both the initial value and change rate of adaptive game use had a full-mediation effect, confirming the longitudinal mediation effect. This study verified the longitudinal change of self-control affected by change in game usage and adaptive game use.

  • This study examined the effects of gratitude enrichment program on the school adjustment, life satisfaction, and emotional-behavioral problems of children. The subjects were 5th grade 69 boys and girls(experimental group: 34, control group: 35). School adjustment, life satisfaction, and emotional-behavioral problems were measured before and after the program intervention. The findings showed that the gratitude enrichment program increased the school adjustment and life satisfaction. But it was not effective in decreasing the emotional-behavioral problems of children. The importance and necessity of gratitude enrichment program and education activities were discussed.

  • To improve the resolution of complex flow field features, grid adaptation scheme of Anderson has been revised, which was based on the Poisson grid generator of Thompson. Anderson's original scheme adapts the grid to solution automatically, but if flow field is more or less complex, then the adaptivity is weak. So the technique of using threshold which is used in unstructured grid system is adopted. The regions of large variation in the solution are marked by marking function which has the property of total variation of the solution, and these regions have same values of weight but other regions are neglected. This updated method captures shocks clearly and sharpy. Four examples are demonstrated, (1) Hypersonic flow past a blunt body, (2) High speed inlet analysis, (3) Supersonic flow of M=1.4 over a 4% biconvex airfoil in a channel, (4) Hypersonic shock-on-shock interaction at M=8.03.

  • This research investigated the mediating effects of communication skills in the relationship between perceived social support and school adjustment of high school students in the multicultural families, South Korea. The high school students from one to three degree in the school, who are joined the center for multicultural families in Kyeonggi-do province, were participated in the survey for this research. Total 110 were analysed using SPSS version 23.0, and used a correlation and regression analyses, proposed by Baron and Kenny(1986), to estimate the relationships between research variables. The results were as follows: First, perceived social support, communication skills and school adjustment were significant associated each other, and had positive correlations. Secondly, communication skilsl of multicultural families' high school students in South Korea had partial mediating effects on the relationship between perceived social support and school adjustment. Based on these findings, the limitations and implications of this research were discussed.

  • This study identified the relationship between perceived mother-grandmother conflicts and subjective well-being among multicultural children, and examined the double mediating model of acculturative stress and adjustment to school life on that relationship. Participants were 205 male and female adolescents living at J county in Gangwon-do. PROCESS Macro 3.5 Model 6 was used for analysis of a double mediating effect. Results revealed that perceived mother-grandmother conflicts was positively correlated with acculturative stress of multicultural children, and negatively correlated with adjustment to school life and subjective well-being. And, acculturative stress of multicultural children was negatively correlated with adjustment to school life and subjective well-being, whereas adjustment to school life was positively correlated with subjective well-being. This study found that acculturative stress and adjustment to school life were sequentially mediating perceived mother-grandmother conflicts and subjective well-being of multicultural children. These findings suggest that the perceived mother-grandmother conflicts might cause multicultural children to experience acculturative stress, and as a result, their subjective well-being level might be reduced due to their low adjustment to school life.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of marital conflicts on dyadic adjustment and the mediating effects of positive emotion and sex-role attitude. The participants were total 270 middle-aged married people and data was collected from April 12 to June 24 in 2014. The data was collected with structured questionnaire and analyzed with the SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs. Results were as follows. First, marital conflicts had a significant direct effect and indirect effect through the mediation of positive emotion on dyadic adjustment. Second, positive emotion had a significant mediating effect but sex-role attitude did not. Third, The modified model showed a good fitness indices( ${\chi}^2$=38.90 standardized ${\chi}^2$=1.77(CMIN/df), GFI=.97, AGFI=.94, NFI=.98, SRMR=.02, CFI=.99, RMSEA=.05) and explanation power was 88.9%. These results suggest that middle-aged dyadic adjustment can be improved by increasing positive emotion. This study results will be contribute to develop intervention program for enhancement of marital relationship and education program for middle-aged.

  • The purpose of this study is to test the effect of smart-phone addiction on school adjustment. In detail, this study focus on mediating effect of psychological distress. For this purpose, Data Collected on 375 students at 4 high schools in the capital area were used in the analysis. Correlation analysis was conducted to find out the relationship between smart-phone addiction, school adjustment, psychological distress. To find out if smart-phone addiction and school adjustment are mediated by the relationship between psychological distress, the model was tested using a structural equation. The results of the study were as follows: The smart-phone addiction is found to have an adverse effect on high school students' school adaptation and a positive effect on psychological distress. And the results of the verification of the structural model showed a significant mediating effect of psychological distress in the relationship between smart-phone addiction and school adjustment. Based on the results of this study, significance and implications were presented.
