  • This study aims to examine the mediating effect of parental monitoring and child's self-esteem on the relationship between parental time and child's life satisfaction in single mother families. For this purpose, MOGEF (Ministry of Gender Equality and Family)'s 'Research data of adolescents in 2015' was used and 117 single mothers and their children aged 9 to 18 were selected for the analysis. Structural Equation model analysis reveals that adolescent's self-esteem has a mediating effect on the relationship between parental time and adolescent's life satisfaction, though parental time and parental monitoring have no significant effect on adolescent's life satisfaction. With these results, policy suggestions to support single mothers' parental time were proposed.

Second, adolescents under probation are less likely to trust their parents and more likely to view their parents as being hostile. Third, parents of adolescents under probation were less likely to trust their children, more likely to view their relationship as being conflictual and hostile, and feel that they had to sacrifice for their children when compared with parents of high school students. • In this study, we applied a hierarchial linear model to Anyang city data because students and their schools are hierarchial data structure. As a result, main factors which affect parents' satisfaction to school which their children go to are parents' satisfaction to Anyang city's education policies and areas which their schools located at. We suggest based on the analysis by this hierarchial linear model that if Anyang city make educational policies more efficient and effective in order for students to study in public school without private education and if Anyang city improve environment related with school like those of new cities, parents' satisfaction to school which their children go to will be increased.
