Recent research has shown that university students experience severe stress and depleted directed attention due to study, social relationships, and economic dependency. Based on the stress reduction theory and the attention restoration theory, this study aims to investigate the effects of natural landscape on university students' stress and cognitive performance through a wide array of measurements including GSR(galvanic skin responsse), IBI(interbeat interval), ZIPERS(Zucherman Inventory of Personal Reactions), and mental arithmetic test. The restorative effects of natural landscape were compared with those of urban landscape. 128 university students participated in the study, and the data of 120 students was analyzed. The results showed that natural landscape was more restorative in relieving psychological stress and in enhancing cognitive performance than urban landscape, which evidenced the restorative effects of natural landscape. Therefore, it could be proposed that natural landscaping of the university campus contributes to students' stress reduction and cognitive enhancement. But such effects were not found in the two physiological measures(both GSR and IBI). Moreover, it was analyzed that urban landscape had a more beneficial effect than natural landscape for IBI, which might resulted from the participants' characteristics and the study landscape. Specifically, the young age span of the participants(average 23.8 years old) and the very natural setting of the university where they were enrolled might lead to the conflicting results in physiological measures. Also, the urban landscape used in the study had a sense of "scope", which is one of the Kaplan and Kaplan's restorative characteristics. Based on this opinion, it was suggested that future study should investigate the impact of the landscape type and contents as well as the participants' characteristics on the restorative effects of natural landscape.
This study explores the aftermath of state violence and the meaning of its healing by analyzing testimony therapy designed to deal with trauma of the victims of May 18 democratization movement("May 18"). In order to have a point of view that May 18 had catastrophic impacts on many individuals and communities and to observe the after-effects of such event to individuals' lives, this study analyzed the contents of testimony therapy sessions of four people who were tortured, arrested and detained after their participating in May 18 in 1980. The experiences of those participants with their testimony therapy and the interactions they had with the audience during the sessions made sure what are the key factors to healing the trauma from state violence. Nineteen topics were drawn from analyzing the statements made in the therapy process, and out of them, seven subjects below were chosen as the most significant; 'repetitive pain', 'social and economic damage', 'isolation and disconnection', 'transition of suffering to other generations', and 'Safety', 'healing through connections', 'obligation as a survivor'. Based on its findings, this study also examined the characteristics of trauma caused by state violence and made suggestions for healing such trauma.

This study investigates the effect of layered double hydroxide (LDH) on the healing performance of self-healing concrete by assessing the chloride penetration resistance of self-healing cement mortars using electrical chloride ion migration-diffusion test. Test results show that both mortars containing healing materials only and mortars containing healing materials and Ca-Al LDH together mostly had higher migration-diffusion coefficients right after cracking, but the migration-diffusion coefficients decreased more than that of OPC with increasing healing ages, and thus, they yielded higher healing capacities than OPC. Also, mortars containing Ca-Al LDH together with healing materials showed higher reduction of their migration-diffusion coefficients, and thus, higher healing capacities than mortars containing healing materials only. This suggests that as the self-healing product increases on the crack surface, the binding of chloride ions by LDH inside the crack increases.

Fools usually make people laugh through their comic appearances and foolish behaviors. A fool in King Lear also gives us pleasure by his unique jokes and humors, however, he is not so foolish. He is very wise and has the intuition to penetrate people's mind and understands the facts. He predicts the future, criticizes the untrueness and heals the wounded mind. He always keeps Lear company and makes him realize his own foolishness. After getting out of his own suffering and fear, Lear experiences his healing process of purification with the help of the fool. In this respect, the fool in King Lear is a wise helper and healer for King Lear.

In this paper, we developed and optimized a chitosan-based polymer microbial bead carrier that is cell-friendly, has a high moisture absorption rate, and effectively provides the conditions for microbial biomineral formation as an optimal microbial carrier that protects microorganisms in concrete, and evaluated the self-healing performance of mortar using it. In order to incorporate circular-shaped microbial endospores, a circular-shaped microbial bead carrier was developed by combining chitosan and alginate polymers, and the amount of calcium carbonate produced could be actively controlled by adjusting the composition of the carrier. The amount of biominerals formed and the size of crystals were maximized in the hydrogel bead carrier containing chitosan, and in the case of mortar cracks using this, it was confirmed that self-healing of cracks with a maximum crack width of 0.3mm was achieved within 96 hours after crack generation.
This research aimed to verify organizational culture of resort underlying bottom of organization and shared by employees. Healing-seeking and life style oriented experiences are in prevailing recently, which resort industry insomuch as presumably held from its origin. Unfortunately, it is also widely recognized that resort lost its entity, blurring business domains with hotel industry or yielding integrated resort by imitating theme park. In order to probe organizational culture, in-depth interview with 16 resort experts conducted in resort setting, prepared by Gremeis actant model which is effective in finding myth(story) structure of interviewees. Firstly, interviewer matched six actants with resort business involving-group and asked interviewee to metaphor freely based on 3 night resort experiences. Results showed that sender, receiver, subject, object, helper and opponent were matched with resort, visitor, company, product & service, supporters, and opponent group in orderly manners and also interviewees made each actant into metaphor as healing, patient, medical doctor, medicine, helper and charlatan, respectively. Significance and limitation of research were included in the end of article.
This paper describes the smart structural system that uses smart materials for real-time monitoring and active control of bolted joints in steel structures. The impedance-based structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques, which utilize the electro-mechanical coupling property of piezoelectric materials, was used to detect loose bolts in bolted joints. By monitoring the measured electrical impedance and comparing it with the measured baseline, a bolt loosening damage was detected. The damage was evaluated quantitatively using the damage metrics in conductance signature with respect to the healthy states. When loosening damage was detected in the bolted joint, the external heater actuated the shape memory alloy (SMA) washer. Then the heated SMA washer expanded axially and adjusted the bolt tension to restore the lost torque. An experiment was conducted by integrating the piezoelectric-material-based SHM function and the SMA-based active control function on a bolted joint, after which the performance of thesmart self-healing joint system was investigated.

This paper proposes a built-in-self-repair (BISR) structure using 2-dimensional spare memory to effectively self-repair faults of an embedded memory. In case of multiple faults in the same row (column) of an embedded memory, the previous method using 1-D spare column (row) memory needs the same number of spare memory columns (rows) as the number of faults to self-repair them. while the new method using 2-D spare memory needs only one spare row (column) to self-repair them. Also, the virtual divided memory is adopted to be able to self-repair using not a full spare column memory but the only partial spare column memory corresponding to the faults. A self-repair circuit with $64\times1-bit$ core memory and $2\times8$ 2-D spare memory is designed. And the circuit includes a built-in-self-test block using the 13N March algorithm. The circuit has been implemented using the $0.25{\mu}m$ MagnaChip CMOS process and has $1.1\times0.7mm^2$ chip area with 10,658 transistors.

Chemical crosslinking is the most widely used method for hydrogel preparations. We prepared a hydrogel using chitosan catechol/polyvinyl alcohol and sodium tetraborate decahydrate (Na2B4O7·10H2O). The formation of hydrogels often presents inconsistent results and issues according to the reaction scale. Therefore, we measured and analyzed the self-healing property and viscoelasticity of hydrogels attributed to scale-up synthesis using a rheometer.
