The collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS/WIN 24.0 program with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: The positive psychological capital of nurses scored an average of 3.30±0.43 out of 5. Nurses' adaptation of job rotation scored an average of 3.00±0.35 out of 5. Positive psychological capital and adaptation of job rotation showed a significant positive correlation (r=.70, p<.001). Conclusion: This study shows that the greater level of positive psychological capital was associated with the increased adaptation of job rotation among nurses. It is necessary to develop an practical program to help nurses, who have recently experienced job rotation, adapt to the changed job by improving the positive psychological capital.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this survey was to identify a set of performance indicators for Korean APNs (Advanced Practice Nurses). Methods: A convenience sample of 78 APNs working in 2 leading hospitals in south Korea participated in the three-round Delphi survey. In the first round, subjects were asked to propose performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of their practice. They rated the relevancy of each indicator during the second round. In the final round of survey, subjects rated the relevancy of indicators again in the light of second round's overall results and they also were asked to check on current and future use of indicators. Results: After 5 months of three-round Delphi survey, 60 performance indicators were identified. In regard to relevancy, the 10 highly ranked indicators were patient satisfaction, self-care ability, expertise of service, family satisfaction, nurse satisfaction, satisfaction in nursing education, advanced nursing service count, education for patient/ family, education for nurse, and compliance. Advanced nursing service count, education for patient/ family, and education for nurse are currently used as indicators by more than 70% of respondents. Conclusion: Additional research is needed to identify subsets of performance indicators for specialized areas and to determine the validity and sensitivity of indicators.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate nursing educational objectives achievement, critical thinking disposition, and clinical competence and their relationships in nurses within five years after graduation. Subjects were 82 nurses who graduated one nursing college within five years and 68 managers in nursing unit of hospital. Questions were given to nurses. They reported their achievement of educational objectives of the nursing college, critical thinking disposition and clinical competence. Nursing unit managers received the same questions to evaluate nurses working at their unit. Data were collected from January to march 2014 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Mean scores for achievement of educational objectives, critical thinking disposition, and clinical competence were $3.60{\pm}0.60$, $3.46{\pm}0.28$, and $4.17{\pm}0.56$, respectively. Educational objectives achievement showed significant correlations with critical thinking disposition (r = 0.52, p <. 001) and clinical competence (r = 0.52, p < .001). Regression analysis showed that critical thinking disposition (${\beta}=.30$, p = .018) and clinical competence (${\beta}=.26$, p = .029) were significant factors for predicting educational objectives achievement. Manager's evaluation score for educational objectives achievement and clinical competence was higher than graduated nurses' report (p < .001). This could be used as a feed- back to reset educational objectives and upgrade the curriculum. These study results could be used to, establish strategies to improve educational objectives achievement.
