Statistical analysis menus of MS Excel software, with powerful spreadsheet functions has not been modified since Excel 2000 Edition and its utilization is very low. To improve utilization of Excel menu for statistical analysis, this research compared outputs of Excel statistical menus and computed test statistics, and developed high-level macros. Outputs of Excel menus, both oneway layout and twoway layout, on real data are exactly same as the computed test statistics, and therefore, Excel menus for statistical analysis are reliable. Macros to provide results for Analysis of Variance with a block and multiple comparison of means are developed using Excel functions.

In Oriental Medicine, there have been a number of researches in 8-Constitution medicine which classifies human bodies into one of 8 categories. Since the diagnosis of 8-Constitution depending on pulse types is often subjective, standardization of the diagnosis and therapy requires objective characteristics of 8 constitutions. A questionnaire of 80 items about personal symptoms were given to patients while they were classified into one of 8 constitutions based on their pulse types and responses to constitution-based acupuncture therapy. One-way analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple comparison test were used to verify the significant items. Most of the significant items in this study coincided with supposed-to-be clinical characteristics of 8-constitutions.

본 연구의 목적은 자연지향적 집단의 생태관광 행동특성을 파악하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 서울지역의 5개 지역 지향적 집단을 중심으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사는 여행객의 행동특성, 행동특성에 미치는 영향요소들, 그리고 행동특성에 영향을 주는 변수와의 차이를 분석하는데 중점을 두었는데, 이를 위해서 행동특성에 대한 요인분석과 독립변수들과의 차이를 알아보기 위해 일원배치 분산분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 절대환경론자 및 정태형 생활양식을 가진 사람들은 계절과 방문빈도에 민감했으며 조화론자 및 모험형의 사람들은 동기부여에 영향을 주는 요소들과 장애요소들에 민감하게 반응하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 국내의 잠재적인 생태관광 시장의 효과적인 홍보 및 마케팅 전략수립에 기초적인 자료로서 제공할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 자료의 이용효율성 증대를 위해서는 생활양식적 차이와 다양성 요구에 의한 심리적 유형의 차이 및 개인의 환경관 등이 행동에 작용하는 범주와 영향의 구체적 원인에 대한 세부적인 연구가 향후 계속 되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

It is well understood that a paired comparison (paired t test) provides better precision than a group comparison (two-sample t test), when the pairing is effective (the variation within a pair is small). However, when the variation among the pairs is sufficiently small, the group comparison is likely to yield a better result. To get a statistical explanation of this, we examine the two methods through an analogy to one-way and two-way analysis of variance. We introduce a new measure, R statistic, which is the ratio of their confidence interval lengths, as a quantitative criterion for comparing the two methods. The distribution of the Rf statistic is described by t and F distribution functions. Through this characterization, we show that the paired comparison can be better than group comparison when the variation among the pairs is statistically significantly large.

The purpose of this study is to analyze factors that influence adolescents' reading effectiveness and to structuralize the relationship between those factors. In consequence, reading attitude is the greatest factor that influences reading effectiveness, followed by library positivity and the reading role model. According to ANOVA, there is a difference in average between personality types, but PLS(Partial Least Squares) shows that personality types do not affect reading attitudes and reading effectiveness.

Nowadays, many college students have difficulty in finding employment. The current research intends to identify how their preparation for job seeking competence affects their stress in college life. For that purpose, the research subjects consist of a group of 158 students taking liberal arts classes at N University located in Cheonan, Korea. A set of analysis methods were utilized to verify of the relationship between their jop seeking preparation competence and stress from college life: an exploratory factor analysis, a correlation analysis and a univariate variance analysis. As a result, there was statistically significant effect of stress in college life and job seeking preparation confidence according to grade, and there was no correlation between stress college life and job seeking preparation confidence. Colleges, thus, should plan and design practical and systematic measures to help them enhance their job seeking competence at college. The results of the analysis are also expected to provide college students with suggestions that might help understand required qualities by the industry and society.

The purpose of this study was to compare the marginal discrepancy of coping crowns according to manufacturing method and materials by using the CAD/CAM system to compare the optimum manufacturing method and materials. The coping crowns were fabricated by using manufacturing methods and materials, and marginal fit was measured using the replica technique. For comparative analysis of manufacturing methods and materials, analysis of variance was performed. One-way ANOVA was performed to compare and analyze different mean values. For the milling method of the alloy, 114.6 was obtained for the MM group, 111.4 for the MS group, 67.2 for the MSC group, and 50.9 for the MSS group, respectively, using the milling/sintering method. In the milling/sintering method of ceramic, 35.6 and 36.3, respectively, were obtained for the SLME group and SLMR group, respectively. However,there was a significant difference according to the material. The milling/sintering method of the ceramic material gave the lowest value, and it was verified by the optimal method. However, marginal discrepancy of coping crowns fabricated using the CAD/CAM system is applicable to the clinic since it corresponds to acceptable numerical values in clinical practice.

Quade (1967) proposed RANK ANCOVA, which is a nonparametric method to test differences between treatments when there are covariates. Hwang and Kim (2012) also proposed a joint placement test on covariate-adjusted residuals. In this paper, we proposed a new nonparametric method to control the effect of covariate on a response variable that uses linear statistics on covariate adjusted-residuals. The score function used in the linear statistics was proposed by Jeon and Kim (2016). Monte Carlo simulation is also conducted to compare the empirical powers of the proposed method with previous methods.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the recognition and preference of Korean traditional cookies and Japanese "Wagashi" by consuming patterns and demographic characteristics in order to suggest strategies for promotion of Hangwa, Korean traditional cookies. Consumer questionnaire survey was done to quantify 241 answers for Korean traditional cookies and 249 for Wagashi, and they were used for final analysis, frequency, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and regression analyses with SPSS 12.0. As a result, it was found that there were the differences of recognition by demographic factors and consuming patterns on the preference and recognitions. Especially in the demographic characteristics, there were differences in recognition by age and education levels for hangwa and by age for wagashi. According to the regression analysis, recognition affected preference for hankwa and wagashi.
