This study investigated the effect of job satisfaction on altruism and civic virtue, also explored the mediating role of organizational commitment on these relationships in the Chinese setting. We tested on a sample of 246 employees working in three Chinese companies. The results of PLS Structural equation modeling showed that job satisfaction has a positive impact on organizational commitment, and organizational commitment has a positive impact on altruism and civic virtue. Further, organizational commitment partially mediated the relationship between job satisfaction and altruism, and civic virtue.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of altruism and the civil right consciousness on the ageism against older people. Using data of 1,513 persons over 18 years old from the Korean General Social Survey(KGSS)(2011), this study applied descriptive analyses, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and multi-regression with STATA14. According to results, the degree of ageism was slightly lower(2.43 out of 5). Compared to age groups, the results were followed: elderly, middle age, and young age group. Among them, the ageism level of the group to have experiences of discrimination was higher than one of the group not to have it. The degree of altruism was high(3.95 out of 5), followed by elderly, middle age, and young age group. The group experienced in discrimination had higher level of altruism than another. The degree of the civil right consciousness was high(5.83 out of 7) without differences among age groups. In the results of regression analysis, the ageism was negatively affected by altruism and the civil right consciousness. Based on the results, this study suggested practical and political opinions for reducing ageism.

The present study focuses on ethical leader ship of people who are member of organization. The survey was conducted to 209 spectators who participated in the corporate organization. Collected data were analyzed through the statistical and analysis program SPSS. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted for analyzing the influence of ethical work climates on ethical leader ship and organizational citizenship Behavior. The results are below. First, the result of analyzing the relationship between ethical work climates and Ethical leader ship shows that principle have a positive impact on distributive justice, procedural justice, transparency, contribution, integrity and benevolence have a positive impact on procedural justice, contribution, integrity. Second, the result of analyzing the relationship between ethical leader ship and organizational citizenship behavior shows that transparency has a positive impact on conscientiousness, and integrity has a positive impact on sportsman ship. We discuss the implications of the results for the theory and the future research on the ethical leader ship.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact about emotional labor of sales service workers. Collected data were statistically processed by PASW 18.0 program using reliability, frequency analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, it was found that the sales service workers had higher deep acting than the surface acting of emotional labor. Second, it was found that altruism differed according to working period, conscientiousness according to gender, and work-family conflict according to age, marital status, and average customer response time per day. Third, the higher the surface acting of emotional labor, the higher the altruism. And the higher the deep acting, the less job burnout and work-family conflict decreased, and the altruism and conscientiousness increased. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the relative influence of variables related to emotional labor, the variable that has the greatest influence was the deep acting of emotional labor.

This study was carried out to analyze factors influencing Korean consumers' attitude and buying behavior on the green products. The research model was constructed that values and personality variables affect on attitudes and the attitudes affect on buying behavior. Variables in the model were selected altruism and collectivism values, dominance and tolerance as personality. The results show that altruism, collectivism and tolerance have significant positive influence on the attitudes, but dominance has not. Attitudes on the green products connect to buying them positively. When consumers buy green products, a high price factor and distrust about the benefits of green products were investigated the largest concerns. We emphasize it is important based on the results of this study that green marketing should focus on social values, find consumer benefits and use trusty ways to communicate with consumers. Also, we need leadership and self-respect based on altruism and collectivism for the sustain ability of our society.

The objectives of this study were: a) to determine the motive types of residents' participation in environmental NGO action program, b) to identify factors related to their motive in the activities, and c) to provide strategic implications to satisfy their motive. For the purpose, the researchers reviewed related literatures on motivation studies and various theories related to residents' participation. Based on the findings of this study, the following suggestions could be offered for the environmental NGO program activities : 1) Environmental NGOs should offor motive-friendly programs which may help the residents' participation in the NGO activities. 2) Environmental NGOs should provide diverse activity programs to facilitate participation and to gratify their motive. 3) To satisfy the motive of participation, environmental action programs should be organized and conducted through a careful considerations of the motive type of the peoples' participation, the characteristics of residents, and so on.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the HE(home economics) teachers' altruistic attitudes and levels of moral education in the middle and high schools. Data was collected from the survey mailed to the middle and high school HE teachers in Ulsan city. The 114 questionnaires were used for final analysis. SPSS/WIN for 10.0 program was used for analysis of the frequency and percentage, mean and standard derivation, T test, and One-way ANOVA according to the research questions. The results of this study were as the follows: First, HE teachers' altruistic attitudes were higher than average. They considered that trying their best in the virtue of social responsibility was very important. And they were inclined to share in others' situations and emotions with the empathic attitudes. Second, the levels of moral education in HE class were higher than average. Teachers valued moral virtues highly, such as respect for life, diligence and sincerity, courage, and respect for parents and the elderly. Third, HE teachers' individual variables, such as institution type shows the statistically meaningful difference in the levels of moral education. Teachers' group with more educational career and aged teachers' group, and public school teachers' group provided moral education more than the others.

The objective of this study is to find out how strategic human resource management(SHRM) of a facility security firm affects its organizational culture and behaviors of its members. This study was executed in June 2010 with facility security officers(FSO) in four private security firms by using a judgment sampling technique. A total of 343 FSOs were used in final analysis. Coefficient of reliability(Cronbach's coefficient alpha) of the survey was 0.691. The conclusion was as follows: First, SHRM of facility security firms exert its influence on organizational culture. That is, promotion of education/training, compensation, making avid followers, and career development may facilitate settlement of hierarchical, development-oriented, agreement -based and rationality-oriented culture. Second, SHRM of security firms would affect organizational citizenship behaviors(OCB), i.e., the promotion of education/training, compensation, making avid followers, and career development would tend to enhance consideration for others and altruistic, participatory, conscientious and gentlemanly behaviors. On the other hand, if proper compensation is not made, above-mentioned behaviors would decrease. Third, organizational culture of security firms tends to affect OCB. That is, when hierarchical, development-oriented, agreement-based and rationality-oriented culture is settled, consideration for others, altruistic, participatory, conscientious and gentlemanly behaviors tends to be enhanced.

The purpose of this study is to develop an altruistic behavior enhancement program for middle school students based on the Maumgram. To do this, we conducted basic research on the altruistic behavior program by collecting and analyzing related literature. The contents of the survey are related to the factors necessary for program analysis and content analysis. It has been validated twice in total by eight experts on the composition and content of the program. The program design consisted of three stages of observation, conversion, and relationship orientation, and selected contents suitable for altruistic programs and conducted them once a week for middle school students, self-inspection, understanding, empathy and communication. However, further study is needed to verify the effect of applying the program in the future. This study will provide basic data on the character education of middle school students by promoting the tendency of altruistic behavior through adjusting training of selfishness.
