A Study on the signification of TV advertisement narrative for enhancing brand image - Based on long-run brand 'Bacchus' - (브랜드 이미지 제고를 위한 TV광고 내러티브의 의미작용 연구 - 장수브랜드 '박카스'를 중심으로 -)

  • This paper analyzes the long-run brand Bacchus's TV advertisement narrative, which copes actively with changes in social and cultural circumstances. The paper focuses on the types of narrative and the consequent semantic effects used in the television advertisement of Bacchus. Through this, we aim to investigate the processes of brand strategies and transitions taken by the brand that made it a solid one. In conclusion, the summaries of distinctive meaning and value of long-run brand by examining the narrative of Bacchus in TV ads are as follows. Firstly, the narrative should be reflected in consumer's demands closely associated with changes in social and cultural circumstances. Secondly, a strong brand identity can be built by consistent management of brand image and through the cultivated effects. Lastly, it forms a bond of relationship between socio-cultural context and consumers, and functions as a communication message.

  • The current society characterized by knowledge-based information technology and multiculturalism put more emphasis on problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and communication skills than any other periods did. In response to the demand of the current times, multidisciplinary, or convergence courses and majors are being created and conducted in college education, yet, with the lack of specific teaching and learning model for the convergence courses. In this context, this study aimed to examine PBL as an instructional model for the convergent approaches in classroom, since PBL has been regarded as a model for fostering the 21st century learning capabilities for student coupled with the learning principles of authentic tasks, learner-centeredness, collaborative learning. This study, after conducted a PBL course for the general art education during the summer semester of 2014, analyzed the result using data collected from students' reflective journals, in-depth interviews, and SNS posts among the students. The result presented students' enhanced self-respect, increased interest in their learning and communication skills, and their recognition of the value on diversity and empathetic attitudes toward each others. In conclusion, PBL showed its potential as an alternative instructional model for the multidisciplinary and convergent learning in college education.

  • The purpose of this paper is the cultural management activities empirical analysis of the impact of organizational effectiveness, such as organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intention for the era of fusion and convergence. In particular, pay attention to the mediating role of organizational communication, and cultural management activities of the effect of by behavioral dimension of organizational effectiveness by structural model demonstrated the value and importance of cultural management. Cultural management activities showed a significant positive effect on organizational communication and organizational citizenship behavior. Organizational communication appears to have a mediating effect on the relationship between corporate cultural management and organizational effectiveness, especially the cultural management itself not necessarily to reduce turnover intention, to support communication means that can reduce the turnover points when activated.

A Study on Antecedents of SNS User's Addiction in the Age of Convergence: The Role of SNS Habit (융복합 시대에 소셜 네트워크 서비스 사용자들의 중독 요인에 대한 연구: 습관의 역할)

  • Given social problems of social network service (SNS) addiction, it is critical to understand user's formation mechanism of SNS addiction. Since a number of studies have demonstrated the negative outcomes of excessive SNS use, the researchers examined important antecedents of SNS addiction as SNS habit that is considered as a key driver of SNS addiction. Moreover, the effects of self-expression, network management, and information search on SNS addition formation were investigated. The proposed theoretical model was empirically tested by using longitudinal survey data collected from 206 Facebook users. The analysis results indicate that SNS habit plays an important role in forming SNS addiction. Further, self-expression, network management, and information search influence SNS addiction through SNS habit. The analysis results offer some in-depth perspectives to SNS providers and government that establish policies or digital convergence strategies to induce healthy SNS use.

  • Recently, according to rapid technological development trend of mobile devices revolutionary transforming our lives in various fields, thereby combining the latest in communications technology. These mobile devices to celebrate the digital convergence era are now created a new business model due to mobility. The mobile business operators obtains a user's location information using the smart phone. The mobile business operators provide users with the area or building-related information for the user on. The mobile business operators provide users profiles to advertisers and product sellers. In this study, I propose the mobile business model and that there are no technical problems design a conceptual framework on mobile agents for mobile operators.

A Study on the Sentence Length of Sports News in the Era of the Convergency (융복합 시대에서 스포츠기사의 문장길이에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristic of the length of sentence of sports news articles compared with other sections, other newspaper and sports events. In order to achieve this purpose, 4 daily newspapers(Chosun Ilbo, Dong-A Ilbo, Kyunghyang Shinmun and MKsports) were selected as research sources. The length of sentence of collected articles was analyzed by One way ANOVA and Scheffe as post-hoc. The results of these analyses are summarized into three as follows: First, the length of sentence of news articles has significant difference by sections. To put it concretely, the sentences in politics section were the longest, and then economy, editorials comes. The sports section has the shortest sentences. Second, the length of sports articles has significant difference by newspapers. In particular, MK sports which is a sports-oriented newspaper has the shortest in the length of sentence of sports articles than other newspapers such as Chosun, Dong-A and Kyunghyang. Third, the length of sentence of sports articles has significant differences by the sports events. More specifically golf is the longest, and then basketball, soccer and baseball follows.

  • There has been an exponential growth in the distribution and possession of sensitive information because of the emergence of various information channels such as smart devices, social media, etc. This enables the internet based web or mobile service operation institutions collecting the more personal information with ease, and in turn causes the issues of the privacy concerns. Followings are the results of this study: First, the information privacy concern has the negative effects upon the trust. Second, the information privacy concern has the negative effects upon the provision intention of personal information and the trust has positive effects upon the offering intention of personal information. At last, the offering intention of the personal information has the positive effects upon the behavior to provide the personal information.

  • The Many universities and educational institutions have focused on shifting education paradigm into smart learning using high-tech devices and internet as the level of technology has growing rapidly in every society. Especially, cyber universities and open universities in Korea are trying to develop educational network system and infrastructure corresponding to new convergence technology environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to introduce clouded based education system in order to suggest an effective way of using new educational learning system. This study shows the case of Hangout learning system used in K University in Korea to suggest a new educational learning model for real-time lecture and cloud based service platform for improving educational learning environment.

  • This research focused on the research on nonverbal communication among communication, an important trait of consultants, who provide knowledge for the clients. The aim was to investigate meaningful influence on the perceived evaluation of clients, as well as the influence on the consulting corporate trust. The research results can be summarized as follows. It was verified that consultants' nonverbal communication positively influenced perceived consultants' evaluation. Also, it was confirmed that clients' perceived consultant evaluation positively influenced service provision corporate trust and long-term relationships.

The Effects of Parenting Attitudes on Adolescents' Fandom Activities in the Times of Convergence: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Psychological Factors and Life Satisfaction (융복합시대 부모양육태도가 청소년의 팬덤활동에 미치는 영향: 심리적 요인과 삶의 만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of parenting attitudes on adolescents' fandom activities, and to prove the meditating effect of psychological factors and life satisfaction on the relationship between parenting attitudes and adolescents' fandom activities. The results are as follows: First, while negative parenting attitude influenced negatively adolescents' fandom activities, positive parenting attitude had no effect on them. Second, positive parenting attitude had negative effect on adolescents' psychological factors, but negative parenting attitude influenced positively them. Third, adolescents' psychological factors influenced positively their fandom activities. Fourth, adolescents' psychological factors had perfect mediating effect between positive parenting attitude and their fandom activities, and they also played partial mediating role between negative parenting attitude and their fandom activities.
