Development and Application of the Student Activity-centered High School Science Textbook Model: Focused on Earth Science (학생 활동 중심의 고등학교 과학 교과서 모형 개발 및 적용: 지구과학 영역을 중심으로)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop the student activity-centered science textbook model in high school and explore the field application possibility. For development of student activity-centered science textbook model, we conducted a literature survey about foreign science textbook and science curriculum and we developed the textbook development framework based on 7E learning model. Based on framework, we developed student activity-centered science textbook model about achievement standards 'systems and interaction - earth systems'. A development model is the total amount of five class periods and the various objectives were reflected in pursuit systems thinking & STEAM. 1~4 class periods, learning content composed of student activity-centered exploration activities that organically associated to make final products. Fifth class period was presented to explore job and career. A development model was applied to high school class for one time study. Applying the result of field study, students were responded positively in interested about science class, textbook contents, made final product. Through this study, if science textbook was made on the basis of the revised student activity-centered science textbook model, students were lead to positive change in science class.

Perceptions of Teachers, Program Instructors, and Local Experts on Implementing Community-Based Socioscientific Issues Programs (지역사회연계 과학이슈 교육프로그램 운영의 교육적 함의에 대한 운영 교사 및 강사, 지역 전문가의 인식 탐색)

  • The purposes of the study are to investigate the experiences of major stakeholders (i.e. science teachers, program instructors, local experts, etc.) who participated in implementing Community-Based Socioscientific Issues Programs (SSI-COMM) and to provide educational implications for further implementation. SSI-COMM dealt with three issues (i.e. abandoned pets, fine dust, and recycling) that students often encountered in their local community. Each program, lasting over 16 class periods in a free semester, included in-school and out-of-school activities in order to promote their interest and participation in community. Four teachers, four program instructors, and six local experts joined the interviews to explain their experience of participating in the programs. As a result, school teachers, program instructors, and local experts positively appreciated their experiences of the program implementation and perceived educational potentials of SSI-COMM. All the stakeholders mentioned that they became more interested in local socioscientific issues and strongly perceived the need for the implementation of such programs linked to their own community. The science teachers appreciated the opportunities to identify students' potentials through SSI-COMM and believed that SSI-COMM would contribute to reducing the gap between learning and practice. The program instructors, observed that out-of-school activities contributed to enhancing students' self-confidence and fulfillment in learning. Finally, the local experts obtained a sense of belonging to their community and were very satisfied with their contribution. The SSI-COMM programs are expected to be one of the educational models that will help to encourage the participation of students and stakeholders in facilitating educational activities in relation to the community.

  • 잘 만들어진 디지털콘텐츠는 사용자들에게 정확한 정보를 전달하여 교육과 학습에 도움을 주고, 무료한 생활에 활력소 역할을 할 수 있으며, 다양한 산업 분야의 융합을 야기하는 촉매제의 역할을 할 수 있지만 어떻게 만들어야 잘 만든 결과물을 만들 수 있을지에 대한 의문점은 쉽게 깨트려지지 않는다. 제작 기술이나 제작 인력의 확보 등 콘텐츠를 제작할 수 있는 환경이 잘 구축되어야 하며, 제작자의 노력이 보장되어야 한다. 또한, 사용자가 쉽게 구매하여 사용할 수 있으며, 편리하게 이용할 수 있는 환경이 되어야 한다. 디지털콘텐츠 환경은 개별적인 환경 조성이 아니라 정보, 기업, 학교, 가정이 유기적으로 결합된 환경 생태계의 구성이 필요하다고 본다. 본 특집에서는 디지털콘텐츠 사업체나 전문가들이 알아야 할 디지털콘텐츠 정책 방향에 대해서 알아보고, 게임실무반에서 논의 중인 기능성게임 인증 기술 관련 국내표준화 이슈, 다양한 실감형혼합현실의 기술 동향, IEEE P3079에서 논의 중인 가상현실 멀미 저감을 위한 기술, MPEG에서 논의되는 콘텐츠와 사용자 간의 인터랙션을 제공하기 위한 사용자 인터페이스 기술, SC24에서 논의되고 있는 MAR 기술 등의 국제표준화 이슈를 다룬다.

Reconsideration of Teaching Addition and Subtraction of Fractions with Different Denominators: Focused on Quantitative Reasoning with Unit and Recursive Partitioning (이분모분수의 덧셈과 뺄셈 교육 재고 - 단위 추론 및 재귀적 분할을 중심으로 -)

  • This study clarified the big ideas related to teaching addition and subtraction of fractions with different denominators based on quantitative reasoning with unit and recursive partitioning. An analysis of this study urged us to re-consider the content related to the addition and subtraction of fraction. As such, this study analyzed textbooks and teachers' manuals developed from the fourth national mathematics curriculum to the most recent 2009 curriculum. In addition and subtraction of fractions with different denominators, it must be emphasized the followings: three-levels unit structure, fixed whole unit, necessity of common measure and recursive partitioning. An analysis of this study showed that textbooks and teachers' manuals dealt with the fact of maintaining a fixed whole unit only as being implicit. The textbooks described the reason why we need to create a common denominator in connection with the addition of similar fractions. The textbooks displayed a common denominator numerically rather than using a recursive partitioning method. Given this, it is difficult for students to connect the models and algorithms. Building on these results, this study is expected to suggest specific implications which may be taken into account in developing new instructional materials in process.

디지털 디자인 및 패브리케이션 통합 스튜디오 교육 사례 소개 -조지아텍 디지털빌딩랩에서의 인테리어패널 제작

  • 본 글을 통해 학생들과 함께 수행한 다양한 디지털 디자인 모델을 기반으로 5가지의 디지털 패브리케이션 방식을 적용하여 여러 실제 인테리어패널의 제작 과정 및 그 결과물들을 요약적으로 소개하였다. 해당 과정은 기존의 분리된 설계와 제작 및 시공이 아닌, 설계-제작 통합적인 접근방법을 활용함으로써 학생들로 하여금 디지털 디자인과 패브리케이션의 효과를 극대화 할 수 있음을 체득하도록 하였다. 패브리케이션 기기 및 재료 등의 차이점에 따라 실제 구현된 모델과 원래의 디지털 모델과의 형상적인 차이점은 아직까지 한계점으로 남을 수 있지만, 비정형적으로 생성된 디지털 디자인의 형상이 직접적으로 실현이 가능하다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. 또한 패러매트릭 모델링 기법이나 실제 제작 경험이 거의 없는 학생들을 대상으로 개별적인 교육이 아닌 설계-제작 통합적인 교육을 실시함으로써 각 요소들이 어떻게 유기적으로 관련되어 디지털 디자인 과정이나 패브리케이션과정에서 상호 보완적으로 중요한지 직접 체득할 수 있도록 하였다는데 의의가 있다. 본 글에서 소개한 재료를 깎는 등의 방식인 "마이너스"의 방식이 아닌 3D프린팅과 같이 재료를 이용해 만들어가는 "플러스"적인 방식 또한 해당 사례에서 수행되었으며 마찬가지로 다양한 특성을 지니고 있으나, 본 글에서는 전자의 방식에 대해 주로 논하였다. 본 글에서 다룬 제작기법뿐만 아니라 3D프린팅 기술의 발전과 보급에 따라 디지털 패브리케이션 역시 다양하게 진보하고 있으며, 팹랩 등을 통한 학교에서의 건축설계 교육도 다양하게 진화하고 있다. 본 사례 및 기타 실험적인 교육과 선도적인 여러 시도를 통해서, 디지털 디자인과 패브리케이션 영역을 확장시켜나가고 해당 기술의 발전에 적극적으로 보조할 수 있는 교육과정을 수립하고 이행하는데 일조 할 수 있기를 희망한다.

The Characteristics of Diisopropyl Methylphosphonate Adsorption on Zirconium-based Metal Organic Frameworks Manufactured by using Different Acids as Modulators (서로 다른 산을 조절인자로 활용하여 제조한 지르코늄 기반 금속유기골격체의 Diisopropyl Methylphosphonate 흡착 특성)

  • Depending on the type and amount of acid used as a modulator in the manufacturing process, the structural properties of UiO-66 can be modified and the adsorbability of chemical warfare agents can be enhanced. In this study, several acids as a modulator were used to synthesize UiO-66. Their properties were analyzed with FT-IR, XRD, titrator, and adsorption isotherms using chemical warfare agent simulant, DIMP. The UiO-66, structurally damaged by hydrochloric acid as a modulator, showed lower crystallinity and DIMP adsorption capacity and also smaller specific surface area and volume of voids compared to those of UiO-66, which was manufactured using acetic acid, and formic acid as a modulator. Additionally, UiO-66 which was synthesized by adding formic acid and hydrochloric acid as a modulator, showed the highest DIMP adsorption capacity and is likely to be used as an adsorbent for chemical warfare agent in the future.

A Study on the Representativeness of Proofs in the Geometry (기하 증명에서의 대표성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we investigated the representativeness of proofs in school mathematics, based on the extension of the midpoint connector theorem for the quadrilateral. To this end, we considered a variety of quadrilateral and proved their extensions of the midpoint connector theorem, and identified the relationships between them, therefore seemed that the proof in school mathematics has a representativeness. On the other hand, in the survey based on this information, students were found only some types of quadrilateral and completed easily the proofs for each quadrilateral they found, but students tended to use other proof or mathematical concepts, if the target figures changes in despite of proving the same mathematical fact. Thus, students were more difficult to figure out the relationship between the proofs. From these facts, we know that students are poorly understood the representativeness of proofs to understand the relationship between concrete proofs and to generalize it, though they are able to proof to the specific figures. Therefore it can be seen that the proof activity needs to be done with organic and semantic.

An effective management on the new math curriculum according to 'General Guidelines of Curriculum Revised in 2009' (2009 개정 교육과정 총론 변화에 따른 수학과 초등학교와 중학교 교육과정의 적용 방안)

  • In December of 2009, General Guidelines of Curriculum Revised in 2009 was announced and research on corresponding mathematics curriculum revision has been initiated from that period. Finally, in August 2011, Mathematics Curriculum Revised in 2009 was announced. Based on the examination the backgrounds and the basic directions of revision newly reformed mathematics curriculum should be applied in math class effectively and efficiently. According to this purpose, this paper first of all finds out what are the major points or difficulties to be caused by managing 'Mathematics Curriculum Revised in 2009' according to the change of 'General Guidelines of Curriculum Revised in 2009'. They are i) the implementation of grade band system, ii) management of differentiated class, and iii) increasing or decreasing of 20% in math class hour. According to those three points to be changed and reinforced newly in new curriculum, this paper investigates the alternatives and policy of dealing with smoothly and efficiently those issues while solving the difficulties.

  • As a substitute for preventing school violence, the reward and punishment system has some problems such as different imposition basis for each teacher, ambiguity of applicable items, and difficulties in directing students in relation to parents of students. In this thesis, a reward and punishment points management system is implemented based on the web to solve the problems. The week point of the current system is complemented by separating the system into four parts, operating each part that is operated by administrators, teachers, students and their parents respectively and sharing their data. In addition, as each group of administrators, teachers, students and their parents is organically connected to the system, when special problems occur, the problems can be solved effectively. Therefore, if the implemented system is used in the field, the guidance of human nature is naturally conducted by understanding broadly for student's living guidance. Furthermore, it can be helpful to prevent students from school violence in advance.

  • 대학 입시 업무에서 원서 접수방식에 있어서 원서 접수를 하기 위해 학교에 직접 방문하여 접수하거나 각 지역 접수 창구와 팩스를 통해 원서를 접수하는데 이를 유기적으로 통합하여 관리할 수 있는 인터넷 원서 접수 환경이 최근 각광을 받고 있다. 그러나, 각 대학의 입시 업무 성격, 특정 학과 선발 과정 등의 충분한 자료 검증이 수행되지 않은 인터넷 원서 접수는 수험생에게 혼란과 복잡성을 유발할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 수험생에게 소신 지원 및 안정 지원을 위해 적합한 학과를 추천하여 수험생들의 인터넷 원서 접수를 하는데, 충분한 자료를 통해 적합한 학과를 추천해주는 지능형 진학 상담 에이전트 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.
