A Study on the Development of Needs Assessment Tool for School Library Facilities (학교도서관 시설개선을 위한 요구조사 도구개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims at developing standardized needs assessment tool for school library facilities. To find common properties of school library facilities, this study explored KLA's Standards for Korean Libraries, IFLA's The School Library Guidelines and AASL's Empowering Learners. Through these standards 10 common properties are selected to include in the assessment tool. As the result, this study proposed needs assessment tool for school library facilities in form of survey and several ways to apply it according to each library situation.

  • This study is an analysis on the needs assessment of school library facilities in Korea. After exploring KLA's Standards for Korean Libraries, IFLA's School Library Guidelines and AASL's Empowering Learners, the needs assessment tool of school library facilities was proposed in the previous study. The tool contains 10 major properties on school library facilities. This study gathered data from 507 students and 134 teacher librarians. The result of analysis is as follows: Students and teacher librarians evaluated the importance of library facilities more highly than the current level of facilities. Collection access, convenience and space are revealed more important properties to students and good environment, expandability, collection access are more important to teacher librarians among the properties.

  • This work aims to derive data-based requirements by analyzing the importance and performance of media literacy in early childhood animations. For this, a survey was conducted on parents with young children after drawing questions of assessment items through expert focus group interviews (FGI). The analytical instruments, Borich Needs Formula formulation and The Locus for Focus Model were used together to improve accuracy. Based on the results, it is meaningful in that it recognized the demand of the inmates for children's education animation and prepared systematic indicators for it.

A User Study on Characteristics of Bibliographic Materials (서지자료특성에 대한 이용자 반응 조사)

  • Since with the information explosion more and more bibliographic materials are continually being produced, the need for improvement of the design of bibliographic materials is urgent for quicker and easier use. One questionaire survey concerned with user preference on 7 Korean bibliographic materials was carried out and got the result that two of those 7 systems, Annual Index to Korean Periodicals, Theses for the Doctor's & Master's Degree in Korea are used most frequently and there are also lots of user discontent about currency, coverage, subject heading, layout and typography. The other study was an experimental searching on 4 Korean bibliographic materials to find out whose coding system is most efficient in information searching. According to the result all of those 4 bibliographic materials are very low in retrieval ratio and Annual Index to Korean Periodicals shows the lowest retrieval ratio. The conclusion suggests that deeper and wider investigation should be carried out as one of national projects for the most useful and efficient presentation of bibliographic materials.

  • 최근 웹 서버에 대한 해킹이 다양하고 지능적인 웜의 형태로 시도되고 있다 이러한 웹 서버 해킹은 대개 웹을 통하여 접근할 수 있는 취약성 파일에 악의적인 코드를 삽입하여 전파시킴으로써 웹서버에 피해를 주며 급속히 확산된다 따라서 이러한 취약성이 있는 파일을 조사할 수 있는 자동화된 도구가 요구되며, 본 논문에서는 웹으로 공유되어 있는 디렉토리 내에 웹 스캔을 이용하여 취약성 파일을 조사하는 방법으로 웹 서버 내의 취약성을 알아내는 분석도구를 개발하였다.

  • 데이터 분석도구 R은 대용량 데이터의 고급 분석과 통계 계산을 위한 스크립트 언어로 데이터의 자료 분석에 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 최근 평균수명의 연장과 더불어 새로운 직업들의 등장으로 인하여 사회 구성원들의 전직이나 이직에 대비하기 위한 다양한 직업교육 요구가 제시되고 있다. 또한 사회 구성원들의 교육수준이 전반적으로 높아짐에 따라 직업교육에 대한 요구 역시 보다 세분화되고 있으며 보다 높은 수준의 학습기회에 대한 요구도 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 직업능력 교육의 기능과 역할을 재정립하고 직업능력 교육의 개발 방향을 제시하기 위하여 지역사회의 수요조사를 기반으로 데이터 분석도구 R을 활용하여 선호도 분석을 실시하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 수자원 통합모델링 프레임웍을 개발하기 위하여 국내의 모델개발과 프로그램개발 환경에 대한 사용자 요구조사를 실시하였다. 요구조사의 응답자는 총 19명 이었으며, 그 응답자는 대부분 수자원의 지속적 확보기술개발 사업에 참여하고 있는 연구자를 대상으로 하였다. 사용자 요구조사 결과 국내에서는 물관련 전공자들이 모델과 프로그램의 개발을 동시에 수행하는 경우가 많았으며, 대부분 Fortran을 중심으로 다양한 프로그래밍 언어를 사용하고 있었다. 모델개발자들은 모델간의 연계에 대한 필요성은 느끼면서도 모델간의 연계에 대한 실제적인 구현도구를 찾지 못하고 있으며, 모델의 공유에 대한 인식도 낮았다. 따라서 향후 통합모델링 프레임웍의 구체적인 설계 단계에서는 모델개발자가 개발된 모델의 프로그램으로 쉽게 구현할 수 있도록 편리한 사용환경이 요구되며, 모델간의 연계를 위한 프로그램 표준화작업도 동시에 수행되어야 할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 통합모델링 프레임웍의 설계에 있어 사용자의 요구를 충분히 반영하기 위하여 사용자 요구조사를 바탕으로한 통합모델링 프레임웍 개발 가이드라인을 제시하였다.

  • There is little study related to the 3D convergence contents authoring tool for teacher. In this study, we purposed the design of the interactive 3D convergence contents authoring tool for a teacher. To draw the design, firstly, we investigated the authoring environment of teachers and interviewed teachers. Based on this investigations, we proposed the functional requirement and UI/UX(User Interface/User Experience) design of it. And we investigated the level of focusing group satisfication with the UI/UX design. Based on these results, we will implement the authoring tool.

  • Recently the studies on user-centered design and form-development have become issues of general interest as the key methods for successful design. For form analysis on user it is important needs that an integrated approach of existing methods and development of expert tool for designer. Moreover analysis methods and tools have to meet with the designers needs of visual result, clear direction, concrete formative factor, user's emotional response and designer-friendly interface. This study proposed the main concepts of form analysis tool based on the user's emotional response ; integrated management, variables set-up, visual result of analysis, in-depth analysis with data mining and correlation, and reinforcement of user-centered analysis. Specific analysis tool consists of 5 functions: Project Management, Analysis Frame Set-up, Data Input-output, Basic Analysis, and In-depth Analysis. The feasibility of proposed tool was verified by a case study of mobile phone design in under-graduate class.

  • As the amount of web information grows, a bookmark has become an important tool to reuse web information effectively which is relevant to users' information needs. Thus, this study aimed to investigate how bookmarks are used as a management tool of web information, and what functions users require concerned with it. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews and observations were carried out from 5 respondents, and a survey was conducted to investigate the relationship between bookmark using behaviors and requirements for function improvement. The users who use bookmark less frequently think bookmark feature essential for the purpose of reusing web information.
