A Study on Effects of Energy Saving by Applying Energy Storage System (에너지저장시스템 적용에 의한 에너지절감 효과에 관한 연구)

  • The energy generated by braking vehicle would simply be converted into waste heat by its braking resistors if no other vehicle is accelerating at exactly the same time. Up to 45% of the tractive power of vehicles capable of returning energy to the power supply can be regenerated during braking and that this energy can be used to feed vehicles which are accelerating at the same time. Such synchronized braking and accelerating can not be coordinated, the ESS(energy storage system, here after) stores the energy generated during braking and discharges it again when a vehicle accelerates. The ESS is able to store and discharge energy extremely quickly, consequently enabling a complete exchange of energy between vehicles, even if they are not braking and accelerating at precisely the same time, as is most frequently the case in everyday service. The energy saving rate is related to the headway. If the headway is long/short, the energy saving goes up/down, When the headway is short, the ESS can not save much regenerative energy. The headway of SeoulMetro line 2 as the worst case is very short in Korea urban transit system. So, the energy saving rate will be very low. If the ESSs are applied to another railway system, we can expect that the effectiveness is better than the results of SeoulMetro line 2. This paper presents effects of energy saving obtained by applying the ESS to SeoulMetro line 2.

  • this paper analyses how much acceleration and deceleration of urban rail vehicle should be applied and how to choose an operation mode to minimize energy consumption when train runs between stations within the fixed operation time. The decided operation pattern satisfying the minimum energy consumption becomes a target trajectory and a basis for the controller design criteria. To make this goal it grasps the characteristics of urban rail vehicle, realize operation energy model of urban rail vehicle and verity the accuracy of embodied model the Matlab simulation with the same operation result of real route. It searches for operation pattern to minimize operation energy by changing the acceleration and deceleration on the imaginative route and proposes operation pattern minimizing energy consumption by applying real operation data between stations of Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 6.

  • An imaging method of seismic sources using time-reversal wave propagation is presented. The method is based on the time-reversal invariance and the spatial reciprocity of the wave equation. Time-reversal wave propagation has been used to image anomalous features of a midium in medical imaging, non destructive testing and waveform tomography. Seismogram is the record whose energy is propagated from the seismic source. If time-reversed seismogram propagates back into the medium, seismic energy is concentrated at the origin time of the event and at the source location. In this work, a staggered-grid finite-difference method of the elastic wave equation is parallelized for 3-D wave propagation simulation. With numerical experiments, we show that the time-reversal imaging will enable us to explore the spatio-temporal history of complex earthquake.

  • Currents which are generated at both ends of drive motor by operating brake pedal when subway train is driving, will generate the reviltalization actual effect if they are not used immediately. So there exist rolling stock established Dynamic braking annex for the purpose of stable brake performance in case there are no retrogress train around or no stable wiring voltage.Therefore 55% of entered energy are consumed in subway train. 45% are used in down gradient section or for regeneration energy and among them 25% are used for another train's retrogression through the wiring. So to reduce reviltalization method keeping the existing system, substation's service voltage should be declined about 5%. And then it will ease off excessive wiring voltage rise. And there need energy reduction by flexible service voltage adjustment and study for energy consumption efficiency in the subway.

  • In this paper, we propose a new computationally efficient joint iterative multi-input multi-output (MIMO) detection scheme using a soft interference cancellation and minimum mean squared-error (SIC-MMSE) method. The critical computational burden of the SIC-MMSE scheme lies in the multiple inverse operations of the complex matrices. We find a new way which requires only a single matrix inversion by utilizing the Taylor series expansion of the matrix, and thus the computational complexity can be reduced. The computational complexity reduction increases as the number of antennas is increased. The simulation results show that our method produces almost the same performances as the conventional SIC-MMSE with reduced computational complexity.

  • 전세계적으로 신재생 에너지를 활용한 기술에 대한 관심이 대두되고 있는 가운데, 국내외에서 활발히 연구 중인 연료전지를 철도차량에 적용하는 연구를 수행하였다. 연료전지를 동력으로 사용하는 철도 차량시스템은 계통에서 전력을 공급받아 구동하는 철도차량과 달리 배터리를 적용한 토폴로지를 사용한다. 배터리는 역행시 철도차량 견인전동기를 구동하거나 회생시 발생되는 전류를 저장한다. 본 논문은 수소연료전지 발전시스템을 적용시 사용되어야하는 배터리 시스템의 충방전 토폴로지에 대해 분석하였다. 견인전동기 역행 및 회생특성을 반영하여 배터리 충방전 토폴로지 적용가능성을 분석하였고 시뮬레이션을 통해 제어 특성을 확인하였다.

A Study on Revising Train Departure Time for Reducing Electric Power Consumption (전력소비완화를 위한 전동열차 출발시간 조정에 관한 연구)

  • This paper considers the problem of revising train departure time to reduce electric power consumption of mass rapid transit (MRT) railways. The motion of a train running between stations is divided into three phases: traction, coasting, and deceleration phases. The traction phase requires high electric power to operate MRT railways. In the coasting phase, the train moves stably by consuming little or no power. The deceleration phase is a braking mode and produces some electric power called regenerated brake power owing to inertia force for the train generated In the traction and coasting phases. The regenerative energy can be used by other accelerating trains within a specific range from the train and thereby the power consumptions of train can be reduced. We developed a mixed integer programming model to solve the problem. To validate the suggested model, a computational experiment was conducted using real data from Korea Metropolitan Subway.

  • 가정 내에서 오래동안 사용되고 있는 가전제품의 에너지 효율은 신제품과 대비하여 상대적으로 낮다. 이러한 가전제품을 가정에서 계속 사용하는 경우, 전력 소비량이 높게 소비되므로 해당 가정은 불필요하게 높은 전기요금을 납부하고, 국가적으로는 높은 전력 발전량을 유지해야 하는 탄소절감이 전세계적으로 요구되는 현실에 역행하는 상황이다. 이에 가정의 소비자가 인지하지 못하고 있는 저효율의 가전제품을 AMI가 제공하는 전력 소비량을 분석하여 보유 중인 가전제품의 에너지 효율을 신제품으로 대체시에 절약 효과를 통보하고, 제품 광고 콘텐츠를 전달하는 시스템을 설계한다.

  • 최근의 도시철도 추진시스템은 VVVF 인버터로 제어되기 때문에 대부분 회생제동의 기능을 갖추고 있다. 회생제동 시 발생되는 전력은 그 때의 동일 노선에서 역행하고 있는 열차에 추진에너지로 사용되는 것이 가장 효율적이나 그것이 가능하지 않을 경우 혹은 그렇게 사용하고도 남는 잉여회생에너지가 발생할 경우 변전소의 회생용 인버터를 통해 역사 내에서 소비되는 방법도 많이 응용되고 있다. 이를 위해서는 회생용 인버터가 변전소 내에 설치되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 경량전철시스템의 급전 시스템에서 이러한 회생용 인버터의 경제성분석과 적정용량 및 위치에 관에 논의된다.
