Effects of the Lasater's Clinical Rubric of Debriefing in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Training (전문심폐소생술 교육에 Lasater의 임상판단 루브릭을 적용한 디브리핑의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effects of the Lasater's debriefing on critical thinking disposition, problem- solving skills and clinical judgement of nursing students. The study design was a nonequivalent control group non synchronized design. The subjects were 60 students for 12 groups. They were randomly assigned to the experimental group (n=30) or control group (n=30). Critical thinking and problem-solving skills were measured using a self-administered questionnaire. Clinical judgement was measured by a Lasater's clinical judgement rubric. The Results of the study was : After Lasater's debriefing, the level of students' critical thinking, problem-solving skills and clinical judgment in experimental group were higher than the level of control group. Through this experiment the rubric of Lasater debriefing is an effective tool for clinical judgment, therefore we know that the future of simulation training is needed to use the Lasater's clinical judgement rubric of debriefing in simulation training.

Pseudo Dynamic Test for the Seismic Performance Enhancement of Circular RC Bridge Piers Retrofitted with Fibers (섬유보강 원형 철근콘크리트 교각의 내진성능 향상에 관한 유사동적 실험)

  • The objective of this experimental research is to assess the seismic performance of circular RC bridge pier specimens retrofitted with fibers which were designed as a prototype of Hagal bridge in the city of Suwon, Korea. Pseudo dynamic test has been done for four(4) test specimens which were nonseismically or seismically designed by the related provisions of the Korea roadway bridge design specification, and four nonseisemic test specimens retrofitted with fibers in the plastic hinge region. Glass and carbon fiber sheets were used for the seismic capacity enhancement of circular test specimens. Important test parameters were confinement steel ratio, load pattern, and retrofitting. The seismic behavior has been analyzed through the displacement ductility, energy analysis, and capacity spectrum. Approximate 7.7 ∼8.7 displacement ductility was observed for nonseismic test specimens retrofitted with fibers subjected to Korea Highway Cooperation artificial earthquake motions. It is concluded that these retrofitted test specimens could have sufficient seismic capacity in the region of moderate seismic zone.

The Effects of Team-Based Learning on Outcome based Nursing Education (성과기반 간호교육에서 팀기반학습 적용의 효과)

  • This study was performed to develop and evaluate the effects of Team-Based Learning(TBL) on cardiac problem in adult nursing. The study measured problem-solving ability, critical thinking disposition, academic achievement and, class satisfaction for learning outcomes of course. Pretest-posttest design with nonequivalent control group was utilized to analyze the effects of TBL. Experimental group and control group each consisting of 52, 54 participants was picked from the junior students. The experimental group was given the TBL for 6 hours and control group was given a lecture and case-based announcement class. In results, significant improvements were found in problem-solving ability(F=5.92, p=.017), and class satisfaction(F=5.80, p=.018). Critical thinking disposition and academic achievement of experimental group were improved than those of control group, but there were not statistically significant difference.

Seismic Performance of Special Shear Wall with Modified Details in Boundary Element Depending on Axial Load Ratio (축력비에 따른 수정된 단부 횡보강상세를 갖는 특수전단벽의 내진성능)

  • In this paper, we propose experimental results, which target the major variables that influence the structural performance of a wall, as well as the resulting seismic and hysteretic behavior. Results also provide the basis for the application of performance based design by identifying the nonlinear hysteretic behavior of the wall with boundary element details recently proposed in previous study by Chun et al(2011). From the experimental results, the crack and fracture patterns of a specimen, which adopt the proposed boundary element details, showed similar tendencies regardless of whether axial force or high performance steel bars is applied. Furthermore, results show that the maximum strength of the specimen can be predicted accurately based on the design equation proposed by the standard. In addition, with a higher axial force, there is a tendency that both the initial load and maximum strength increase as deformation capacity reduces, requiring consideration of the reduced deformation capacity due to a high axial force. For walls under such high axial forces, using high performance steel bars is a very effective manner of enhancing deformation capacity. Therefore, reinforcing the plastic hinge region with boundary elements using high performance steel bars is preferable.

  • Load-bearing steel stud wall system is widely used for the middle-to-high rise modular buildings worldwide. Seismic performance is a key issue to apply load-bearing steel stud wall system to modular buildings in Korea. This study proposes a new strap braced steel stud wall system with enhanced seismic performance and design equations considering the flexural behaviour of the vertical outer studs. For the verification, two specimens with different strap braces and vertical outer stud were designed and tested. The test results showed that the total strengths were evaluated to be 1.11 to 1.18 times higher than the predicted values. Usually strap braced walls are considered to have low energy dissipation capacities. The proposed system showed enhanced seismic performance with equivalent damping of 9.42% due to the reduced pinching effects.

  • 본 논문은 선박 기관사의 실무 능력 평가를 위한 CAI 시스템의 설계와 구현에 관한 것이다. 지금까지 실무 기관사들을 위한 평가 시험은 주로 필답 시험과 구두 시험에 의존해 왔지만, 컴퓨터를 이용할 CAI 시스템을 사용함으로써 평가에 걸리는 시간을 단축할 뿐만 아니라 효율적인 평가를 할 수 있다. 시스템의 구성은 영역 지식, 질문, 예제 등으로 구성되어 있으며 13 관련 분야에 바탕을 두고 있다. 이 시스템의 사용자는 교사, 실습생, 학생, 선박관련 전문가들이 될 수 있다. 또한 이 시스템을 Client/server 환경으로 확장하기 위하여 Oracle 7.3과 PowerBuilder 5.0을 이용한 실험적인 환경을 설계하고 대표적인 Client page를 보여주고 있다.

Effect of Structured Debriefing on the Learning Outcomes of Nursing Students in Simulation-based Education (간호대학생의 시뮬레이션기반 교육 시 구조화된 디브리핑 유형이 학습성과에 미치는 효과)

  • The study investigates how the structured debriefing method affects the learning flow, critical thinking disposition, and clinical performance of nursing students, using the Lasater Clinical Judgment Rubric (LCJR). Nursing students in the 4th grade of P University were divided into three groups, each trying out a different structured debriefing method: the experimental group - structured video debriefing using the LCJR question, the comparative group - structured oral debriefing, and the control group - structured group discussion debriefing. There was no significant difference between the three groups in learning flow (p=.640), critical thinking disposition (p=.420) and clinical performance ability (p=.360). Planning and intervention among the areas of clinical performance were significantly improved in the experimental group compared to the other two groups (p=.005). Structured debriefing when used with LCJR improves the learning flow and critical thinking disposition of students, while structured video debriefing improves clinical performance.

  • This is to evaluate the ascending capacity of migratory fish in the pool and weir type fishways. Ascending environment of the migratory fish in rivers is analyzed through eco-hydraulic experiments using sweetfish, Plecoglossus altivelis, trout, Oncorhnchus mykiss, and surveying the fall height of existing pool and weir type fishways. When the fall height is less than 16.0cm, the ascending capacity of sweetfish in the pool and weir type fishways is greater than trout. On the other hand when the fall height is over 20.0 cm, the ascending capacity of trout is greater than sweetfish. A sweetfish may prefer to jump for upward moving than trout. And its endurance after upward jumping over wear is greater than that of sweetfish. Because of high fall height of existing pool and weir type fishways the migratory environment in rivers is so poor. When the pool and weir type fishways are designed and constructed in river the fall height of weir must be considered for the variety of migratory fish living in river and the fall height of weir less than 20.0cm is suggested.

  • A combination of CFT column and RC flat plate without formworks is very effectively rapid constructions. This paper verified the lateral resisting capacity of CFT column-RC flat plate exterior connection in comparison with general RC column-flat plate connection and detected moment capacity and ductility capacity of connection according to moment-displacement ratio. We made and tested specimens which have different variables respectively and as a result derive a following conclusion. In CFT-E2 specimen a critical section was extended and maximum moment increased 20% respectively in comparison to general RC column specimen. In BME and CFT-E1 specimens generally shear governed behaviors and CFT-E2 specimen complemented with seismic band, flexure behavior region of slab was extended and also ductility ratio and energy absorptance increased.

  • 본 논문은 FPGA 기반의 DSC-PLL(Delayed Signal Cancellation - Phase Locked Loop)을 설계하고, 왜곡된 3상전압 조건에서 위상추종결과를 비교실험 하였다. FPGA 구현 알고리즘은 Matlab/Simulink와 연동된 System Generator를 이용하여 DSC-PLL 모델을 설계하고, Verilog HDL 코드로 변환 하였다. 불평형 및 고조파를 포함한 왜곡된 3상 전압 조건에서 FPGA에 구현된 DSC-PLL과 SRF-PLL (Synchronous Reference Frame - Phase Locked Loop)의 d-q축 고조파 감쇠특성 및 위상추종능력을 실험을 통해 비교하였다. DSC-PLL은 약 5.44ms 이내에 d-q축 고조파 성분을 제거함으로써 정상분 기본파 전압의 위상을 빠르게 추종하는 것을 검증하였다.
