  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of innovation-oriented organizational culture on organizational members' innovation behavior, and to confirm the sequential mediating effect of the boss's coaching leadership and the basic psychological needs of organizational members. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted targeting 377 office workers who had been working with the same boss for more than 6 months. The collected data was analyzed using Hayes' SPSS PROCESS Macro. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was confirmed that the relationship between organizational culture and innovative behavior was statically significant. Second, it was confirmed that coaching leadership and basic psychological needs sequentially mediate in the relationship between organizational culture and innovative behavior. In other words, the innovation-oriented organizational culture does not directly affect innovative behavior, but rather leads to the exertion of coaching leadership by boss, and coaching leadership promotes more innovative behavior by influencing the satisfaction of members' basic psychological needs. This is meaningful as a basic study on how environmental variables, such as organizational culture and superior leadership, affect individual motivational variables, desire, and thus affect individual behavioral variables. In addition, based on the results of this study, academic and practical implications were discussed, and limitations of this study and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.

  • The present study examined how the psychological well-being of young adults was affected by the perceived parental rearing attitudes and how self-concept clarity and the perceptions of emerging adulthood mediated this causal relationship based on Arnett's the theory of emerging adulthood. We specially focused on affectionate or rejective types of perceived parental rearing attitudes and possibility or instability perceptions of emerging adulthood. We performed survey research with 358 university students from six universities located in Seoul, and other cities in South Korea and analyzed collected data using SPSS 25.0 and SPSS Macro. As a result, we found correlational relationships between psychological well-being of emerging adulthood and other variables. Also, we found the mediating effect of the self-concept clarity in the relationship between the psychological well-being and the perceived parental attitudes: affectionate, rejective. However, we only found the mediating effect of the perceived possibility perception of emerging adulthood was significant in the relationship between the psychological well-being and affectionate parental rearing attitudes. Finally, we found a sequential mediation effect that the self-concept clarity and then perceived instability perception of emerging adulthood affected in the relationship between psychological well-being and rejective parental rearing attitudes of emerging adulthood. Based on results, implications and suggestions for counseling service and psychological education for university students faced emerging adulthood were discussed.

Third, in the relationship between self-efficacy and posttraumatic growth, the sequential mediating effect of alternatives and hopes was found to be statistically significant. Based on these findings, implications, limitations and suggestions of the study were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the dysfunctional effects of job crafting by examining (1) the sequential dual mediating effect of work-related sense of coherence (Work-SoC) and job strain on the relationship between two dimensions of job crafting (i.e., promotion focus & prevention focus) and turnover intentions, and (2) the moderating effect of supervisor support in the relationship between each focus and Work-SoC. A total of 293 employees working at various companies in Korea participated in an online survey. The results showed that promotion-focus job crafting had a direct negative effect on turnover intention, while prevention-focus job crafting had a direct positive effect. Both promotion- and prevention-focus job crafting also had indirect effects on turnover intention by partially mediating Work-SoC and job strain. Supervisor support had a moderating effect on the relationship between prevention-focus job crafting and Work-SoC, weakening the negative effect of prevention focus on Work-SoC. The implications and future directions are discussed on the basis of the results.
