Analysis of the Level and Competence Factors on Specialty Contractors' Employees (전문건설업체 종사자의 업무수행수준 및 필요역량요인 분석)

  • It is required to be enhancement of competitiveness for specialty contractors' employees due to specialty contractors are in charge of the actual construction work. The effective educational program for specialty contractors' employees is essential to improve the work performance of them. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze level of work performance and find factors of core competence for specialty contractors' employees that can be utilized for development of effective educational program. The survey is based on CEO, Engineer and Manager in specialty contractors, and a questionnaire survey was performed to investigate the importance of job task, work load and degree of work difficulty as well as their core competence needs. The analysis result of this study can be utilized for development of effective educational program which is reflected the characteristics of specialty contractor's employees.

  • IT 기술은 최근 20 년간 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 직무를 수행하는 기술자는 변화하는 IT 기술에 맞추어 자신의 기술능력을 개발하고 학습했다. 하지만, 체계를 갖춘 직무구분, 직무에 필요한 IT 기술요소의 정리 및 효과적인 교육과 향상된 기술력에 대한 적절한 평가 및 검증 체계의 부족함을 인지하고 있다. 일례로 ISP 혹은 HRD 컨설팅 서비스를 제공하는 회사도 결과를 도출하는 자사의 프레임워크는 가지고 있으나, IT 기업에 적용해야 하는 적합한 직무체계 및 기술요소의 분류, 평가 및 검증 체계는 제공해 주지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 IT 기업의 기술능력 향상에 필요한 체계 및 IT 산업계에서 인정하는 표준 직무, 기술, 평가 및 검증에 대한 방향과 이를 실제 기업에서 적용한 적용사례를 바탕으로 그 효율성에 대한 효과를 보여 주고자 한다.

The Effect of Emotional Intelligence and Self-Efficacy on Clinical Competence of the Nursing Students (간호 대학생의 감성 지능과 자기 효능감이 임상수행능력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study aimed to find the effect of emotional intelligence and self-efficacy on clinical competence of the Korean nursing students. A total of 199 nursing students participated in this study. Data collection was conducted through the use of questionnaires constructed to include Wong & Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), General Self-efficacy Scale, and the Clinical Competence Scale. As a result, emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and clinical competency of the Korean nursing students were found to be at moderate levels(Emotional intelligence: M=4.7, SD=0.81; Self-efficacy: M=3.2, SD=0.34; Clinical competency: M=3.4, SD=0.56). Also, the nursing students with higher grades and satisfaction on clinical practice were found to have significantly higher emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and clinical competence. Moreover, there were significant positive correlations between emotional intelligence and clinical competency(r=.566, p<.001), self-efficacy and clinical competency(r=.440, p<.001). The factors affecting clinical competency were emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and gender. They amounted to 49.3% in clinical competency. These results indicate a need to develop effective teaching methods and learning strategies to promote clinical competency of the nursing students.

A Comparative Study of Changes in Cognitive Function, Depression and Activities of Daily Living in Patients with Dementia, Mild Cognitive Impairment and Ischemic Stroke (치매, 경도인지장애, 허혈성 뇌졸중 환자에서 인지기능, 우울 및 일상생활수행능력의 변화 비교)

  • This study aimed to compare changes in cognitive function, depression and ability to perform activity of daily living (ADL) in patients with dementia, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and ischemic stroke (IS) and to identify factors associated with changes in instrumental ADL. A total of 86 patients (dementia=30, MCI=32, and IS=24) were included to analyse cognitive function, depression, and basic and instrumental ADL obtained at the time of diagnosis and 1 year after baseline. Repeated measures analysis of variance and multiple linear regression were used. A significant group by time interaction was found in executive function (p=.037) and instrumental ADL (p=.023) across groups. The MCI group has little change in executive function and instrumental ADL from the baseline to 1 year after diagnosis while other two groups showed changes with the dementia group showing declines and the group of IS having improvement in these factors over time. Changes in executive function(p=.030) and basic ADL (p<.001) explained 26.9% in the variance of changes in instrumental ADL. These findings showed a different changing pattern in executive function during the first year after diagnosis of dementia, MCI, and IS which have cognitive changes as their main symptoms, probably leading to a different changing pattern in instrumental ADL. Healthcare professionals should routinely assess for executive function and instrumental ADL problems and intervene to maintain and improve these functional outcomes immediately after disease.

Factors Affecting the Self Esteem of a Convergence Dental Hygienist (치과위생사의 자아존중감에 융합적으로 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The present study analyzes the main factor having an effect on the convergence dental hygienist's self-esteem through the survey to them. A self-leadership and professional self-conception show meaningful result with higher score in the group with higher self-respect than that of lower one(p<.001). Also the higher hygienist's self-esteem, the higher clinic practice ability(p<.01). There is negative correlation with self-esteem in emotional labor(p<.01) and exhaustion(p<.01). However, the positive correlations are presented in self-leadership(p<.01), professional self-conception(p<.01) and clinic practice ability(p<.01) with self-respect. The factors influenced on self-esteem are clinic practice ability(p<.05) and exhaustion(p<.01). In results, the organized convergence program and education considering self-esteem in the hospital should be accomplished systemically to enhance the clinic practice ability of each hygienist.

The Impact of Simulation-based Learning in Undergraduate Courses on the Problem Solving and Clinical Competence for New Nurses (학부과정의 시뮬레이션 학습이 신규간호사의 문제해결과정과 임상수행능력에 미친 영향)

  • This study was a descriptive research investigating the impact of simulation-based learning on the problem solving process and clinical competence of new nurses. The 202 participants were new nurses who have provided nursing care for less than 12 months have experienced simulation-based learning more than once in their undergraduate courses. This study found that the number of times participants have experienced the simulation-based learning had no correlation with their problem solving process and clinical competence, but simulation design features correlated with their problem solving process and clinical competence. The results of clustering analysis that examined differences in the effects on problem solving process and clinical competence by classifying simulation design features by clustering also showed significant differences. This study has confirmed the importance of simulation design to simulation-based learning in nursing education. We hope that the findings of the study will be used for effective operation of simulation-based learning. In the future, objective assessment methods will be required to evaluate the effects of simulation-based learning provided in undergraduate courses on nurses' clinical competence.

  • Aims of subject specialist librarian's education is an improvement of their professionalism which could reinforce librarians' ability to achieve their speciality. The curriculum should be competency based one which could gain knowledge and skills to accomplish subject librarian services. The study aims to suggest competency based curriculum that is needed for specialist librarian's work. The study proposes six educational courses and fifteen subjects. Six courses are as followings: resource development, information services, library marketing, user education, subject research, and library administration.

A Systematic Review of Nonpharmacological Interventions on Activities of Daily Living in Dementia (치매 환자의 일상생활 수행능력 향상을 위한 비약물 중재에 관한 체계적 고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a systematic review of the nonpharmacological interventions of ADL improvement for dementia published in foreign journals for the past 10 years, and to provide general information on nonpharmacological interventions and effective intervention methods to dementia expert in clinical practice. We searched published studies in the Medline Complete, PubMed Central, and Scopus databases from January 2007 to November 2016. The main keywords used "Dementia AND (ADL OR Activities of daily living) AND Nonpharmacological interventions" and total of 9 studies were selected for analysis from 974 searched articles. The level of evidence were belonged to 3 each studies in I~III level. The mostly provided nonpharmacological interventions were exercise, the study field was variety of areas including rehabilitation(occupational therapy, physical therapy), nursing, and psychology. The Barthel Index(BI) was most frequently used assessment tools to evaluate basic activities of daily living, Cognition was most dependent variables measured with the ADL. Through this study, we provided evidence for the understanding of nonpharmacological interventions of ADL improvement for dementia. In the future, based on this study, helpful intervention needed for ADL training.

Effects of a Simulation-based Program on Self-Directed Learning Ability, Metacognition and Clinical Competence in a Nursing Student (시뮬레이션 교육이 간호대학생의 자기주도 학습능력, 메타인지, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of simulation-based program on self-directed learning ability, metacognition and clinical competence for nursing students. The subjects were 88 students enrolling in the simulation-based practice. Simulation-based program included team based pre-discussion, taking a simulation and being debriefed during 12 weeks. After the subjects had participated in the simulation-based program, they showed statistically significant higher self-directed learning ability(t=4.270, p<.001), metacognition(t=4.435, p<.001) than before. However, there was no significant change in clinical competence. Therefore, facility of self-directed learning ability, metacognition and clinical competence for nursing students needs to develop and operate more systematic simulation-based program.

Differential Scheduling Mechanism based on Contribution Rate in Volunteer Computing Environment (자원제공자 컴퓨팅 환경에서 공헌도 기반 차별화 스케줄링 기법)

  • 자원제공자 컴퓨팅(Volunteer Computing) 환경에서 자원제공자의 연산에 대한 참여(join) 및 이탈(leave), 결함 등의 동적인 연산 수행 특성을 고려한 스케줄링 기법은 안정적인 연산 수행을 지원하는 시스템의 설계에 있어서 중요한 고려사항이다. 기존의 자원제공자 컴퓨팅 연구에서는 자원제공자의 자유로운 연산 참여와 이탈 및 연산 수행 중 일시적인 연산 중단 등의 휘발성(volatility)을 고려한 결함 포용적 스케줄링 기법이 없어 연산 수행 중에 빈번한 중단이 발생하고, 연산 수행 시간이 지연된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 자원제공자의 휘발성으로 인해 발생되는 문제를 해결하기 위해 자원제공자 컴퓨팅 환경에 부합하는 다양한 가용성(availability)을 정의, 분류하고, 공헌도(Contribution Rate) 기반 차별화 스케줄링 기법을 제안한다. 공헌도 기반 차별화 스케즐링 기밥은 헌신도(Dedication Rate)와 능력도(Faculty Rate)를 이용하여 주어진 작업량에 적합한 연산 수행 능력을 가지는 자원제공자를 선출하여 작업을 할당하고, 결함이 발생할 경우에는 결함의 종류에 따라 유연하게 대처하여 불안정한 자원 제공과 연산 중단 현상을 완화시킨다 이로써, 연산 수행에 대한 완료성과 신뢰성을 향상시켜 연산 지연 및 전체 연산 수행 시간을 단축시킨다.
