Consumer Experience and Adoption Intention of Internet of Things Services: The Impact of Network Externalities (소비자의 사물인터넷 서비스 경험과 수용의도 : 네트워크 외부성을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance the understanding of consumer experience and behavior of Internet of Things (IoT) services and to provide practical implications through investigating the impact of benefits-cost factors and network externalities on consumers' adoption intention of IoT services. An online survey was conducted on general consumers in their 20s to 60s who were aware of the IoT services and 328 data were collected. Using SPSS 24.0, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. As a result, the level of consumers' IoT service experience in various contexts was examined, and entertainment, informativeness, loss of humanity, compatibility, and complementarity were found to have a significant effect on consumers' adoption intention of IoT services. This study suggests that strengthening network externality effects by increasing compatibility and complementarity is important in promoting consumers' adoption of IoT services. In future studies, it is necessary to adopt specific Internet of Things services to verify the validity of the models developed in this study.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants of the effectiveness in food safety policy, focusing on the perception of consumers. For this, we apply ordered logit analysis using "The Survey on the Attitudes towards Food Safety Policy" data investigated by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism & Ministry of Food, and Drug Safety. According to the results of the analysis, policy literacy has a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of the policy. Trust has a positive impact on the effectiveness of the policy significantly. In addition, the results show that sensitivity has a significant negative impact on the effectiveness perceived by consumers. This study imply that the government should give more information about policies and make an effort to gain trust on food safety policy.

The Effect of Privacy Concerns on Using Mobile Payment Services: Moderating Effect of Multidimensional Consumer Innovativeness (프라이버시 우려가 모바일 간편결제 서비스 이용에 미치는 영향: 소비자 혁신성의 다차원적 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of privacy concerns on the use of mobile payment services. In particular, paying attention to the multidimensionality of consumer innovation, we analyzed the effects of hierarchical logistic regression by gender. The results show that there is a positive (+) relationship for hedonic innovativeness regardless of gender, and that there is a negative (-) relationship for functional innovativeness overall and in the female group. In all groups regardless of gender, a positive (+) relationship was found for the hedonic innovativeness, and one negative (-) relationship was found in the functional innovativeness overall group and the female group. Second, in the male group, there is a moderating effect of privacy concerns and functional innovativeness. This suggests that the relationship between privacy concerns and the usage of mobile payment services may vary depending on functional innovativeness. This study is useful in that it can explain and predict consumers' patterns of use of new technology-based services in various and balanced ways by taking privacy concerns and multidimensional consumer innovation into consideration. In addition, it suggests that mobile payment companies should make efforts to ensure that their services are secure, useful, and fun to use so that consumers can feel confident using the services in various situations.

  • Modularity has merits in modifiability of product structure management and product arrangement. This feature helps consumer to expand the selection of products and to get customized products. Also consumers are drive satisfaction and reduce a post-purchase dissonance from role in a 'prosumer'. But expanding product's alternative would cause the overload confusion by rising complexity of information handling. Purpose of the study is to verify how interaction about option size and personal disposition are effected consumer's overload confusion. For this purpose we deducted 3 personal dispositions 'Regulatory focus', 'Product familiarity', 'Self-efficacy' that presented lead to potential effect of personal information handling by previous research. By statistical inquiry prevent focus group had perceived more overload confusion than promotion focus group in an expanding option size circumstances. And low Product familiarity and Self-efficacy group had perceived more overload confusion than high Product familiarity and Self-efficacy group in a expanding option size circumstances.

  • 인간의 생태계를 근본적으로 위협하고 있는 기후변화와 같은 환경오염 문제는 글로벌 경쟁시대의 기업 경영에 있어 강력한 제재요인 중 하나로 관심이 집중되고 있다. 국내에서도 이러한 환경문제가 중요 이슈로 부각되고 있는데, 특히 인류생존에 필수적인 자연환경을 기반으로 사업을 영위하는 농업분야는 더욱 깊은 연관성을 갖는다. 정부는 이러한 농업분야에 대하여 도시와 농촌 간 소득 불균형이나 농촌인구 노령화 등의 문제를 해결하고 미래 성장산업으로 발전시키고자 6차산업화 인증 제도를 시행 중에 있으며 앞으로의 성장이 기대된다. 또한 최근 기업의 환경을 포함하는 사회적 책임활동에 대한 관심이 높아지고 능동적으로 참여하려는 소비자의 특성 변화에 따라 6차산업화 인증을 받은 기업들도 성장하기 위해서는 기업 활동의 근간이 되는 소비자 니즈에 더욱 집중할 필요성이 제기되므로 기업의 새로운 성장 방안으로써 고객과 환경에 집중하고 사회적 가치를 창출해 나가야 할 것으로 추측된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 6차산업화 인증을 받은 기업을 대상으로 고객지향성과 경영성과 간 관계에서 환경지향성이 조절효과를 가지는 지를 밝히고자 하였으며, 연구 결과 고객지향성은 경영성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 이러한 관계 속에서 환경지향성은 정(+)의 조절효과를 가진다는 것을 실증하였다. 즉, 6차산업화 인증기업이 경영성과를 제고시키기 위해서는 소비자의 변화와 기업이 수행해야 할 사회적 책임을 명확히 인식하여, 소비자 니즈기반의 환경보존과 같은 사회적 가치를 창출하고 공유하려는 친환경 지향적인 새로운 혁신전략을 수립하고 실행해 나가야 할 것이며 이를 통해 지속적인 성장을 견인할 수 있을 것이다.

Investigating the moderating effects of consumer synchronism result of high consumer groups a significant impact on the social congestion showed, at low spatial influence congestion.

  • This study examined the social discourse on consumer boycott and explored consumer experience using text mining of mass media and social media data and the in-depth interview. The result showed that the topics of online news related to the boycott included the causes of the boycott, the responses of each actor in the process of the boycott, and the effects of the boycott. In the result of the in-depth interviews, it was found that the boycott has been decentralized and the participants had the experience of exploring and verifying information on their own. In the boycott process, there were mixed experiences due to the absence of substitutes and the marketing influence, and positive experiences of expressing one's thoughts and strengthening beliefs through the boycott.

  • The collaboration that seeks to complement each other by judging and sharing the comparative advantages between companies is currently being actively progressed as a new and unusual collaboration that is not routine among not only the same industry but also different industries. This trend is increasing consumer interest based on enjoyment and fun. However, these collaborations cannot consistently lead to positive effects, and rather, if all companies collaborate, it could have an adverse effect. The current study explored the consumer's response to the attitude toward product and purchase intention of collaboration through consumption value and brand trust based on the consumer's understanding, assuming that the consumer's response cannot always be positive. As a result, brand trust played a mediating role in the intention to purchase and attitude toward product. This study examines the relationship between consumption value and collaboration products between brands, and from the perspective of a company, it can provide practical implications for establishing brand management and strategy through a unique collaboration strategy based on the understanding of consumers.
