  • Users of Smartphone in Korea are using the majority of the economically active population over 99% and experts have seen that they have reached saturation after the initial formation stages. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influencing factors of dominant design attributes on the intention of continuous use of Smartphone users. Predictor factors were selected perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use suggested on extended the technology acceptance model. The concept model was completed by selecting the dominant design attribute as a mediator. Participants of this study were 135 Smartphone users in Busan Gyeongnam and Iksan Jeonbuk province in accordance with convenience sampling. IBM SPSS Statistics 19 were employed for descriptive statistics, Smart PLS (partial least squares) was employed for confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis of casual relationship among variables. Therefore, when moderating mediated factor of dominant design and attitude, factor of continuous usage intention showed 76% explanatory power.

  • Noise in an image degrades image quality and deteriorates coding efficiency. Recently, various edge-preserving noise filtering methods based on the nonstationary image model have been proposed to overcome this problem. In most conventional nonstationary image models, however, pixels are assumed to be uncorrelated to each other in order not to Increase the computational burden too much. As a result, some detailed information is lost in the filtered results. In this paper, we propose a computationally feasible adaptive noise smoothing algorithm which considers the nonstationary correlation characteristics of images. We assume that an image has a nonstationary mean and can be segmented into subimages which have individually different stationary correlations. Taking advantage of the special structure of the covariance matrix that results from the proposed image model, we derive a computationally efficient FFT-based adaptive linear minimum mean-square-error filter. Justification for the proposed image model is presented and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated experimentally.

  • In this paper, we present a method which is based on the concept of the rotation of subspaces. This method is highly related to the angle (or distance) between subspaces arising in many applications. An effective procedures is first derived for finding the optimal transformation matrix which rotates one subspace into another as closely as possible in the least squares sense , and then this algorithm is applied to the solution to general direction-of-arrival estimation problem of multiple broadband plane waves which may be a mixture of incoherent, partially coherent or coherent. In this typical application, the rotation of signal subspaces (ROSS) algorithm is effectively developed to achieve the high performance in the active systems for the case in which the noise field remains invariant with the measurement of the array spectral density matrix (or data matrix). It is not uncommon to observe this situation in sonar systems. The advantage of this techniques is not to require the preliminary processing and spatial prefiltering which is used in Wang-Kaveh's CSS focusing method. Furthermore, the array's geometry is not restricted. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the high performance achieved with this new approach relative to that obtained with Wang-Kaveh's CSS focusing method for incoherent sources and forward-backward spatial smoothed MUSIC for coherent sources including the signal eigenvector method (SEM).

  • Two-dimensional (2D) spectrofluorometer is often used to monitor various fermentation processes. The change in fluorescence intensities resulting from various combinations of excitation and emission wavelengths is investigated by using a spectra subtraction technique. But it has a limited capacity to classify the entire fluorescence spectra gathered during fermentations and to extract some useful information from the data. This study shows that the self-organizing map (SOM) is a useful and interpretative method for classification of the entire gamut of fluorescence spectral data and selection of some combinations of excitation and emission wavelengths, which have useful fluorometric information. Some results such as normalized weights and variances indicate that the SOM network is capable of interpreting the fermentation processes of S. cerevisiae and recombinant E. coli monitored by a 2D spectrofluorometer.

  • This study compares the forecasting accuracy of five econometric models on domestic total freight volume in South Korea. Applied five models are as follows: Ordinary Least Square model, Partial Adjustment model, Reduced Autoregressive Distributed Lag model, Vector Autoregressive model, Time Varying Parameter model. Estimating models and forecasting are carried out based on annual data of domestic freight volume and an index of industrial production during 1970~2011. 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year ahead forecasting performance of five models was compared using the recursive forecasting method. Additionally, two forecasting periods were set to compare forecasting accuracy according to the size of future volatility. As a result, the Time Varying Parameter model showed the best accuracy for forecasting periods having fluctuations, whereas the Vector Autoregressive model showed better performance for forecasting periods with gradual changes.

  • Discrimination of geographic origin of agricultural products is a important issue in Korea because the price difference between Korean domestic and imported cereals is a key among some reasons. NIRS (Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy) has been applied to classify the geographical origin of soybeans. Total 135 samples (Korean domestic 92 and foreign 43) were used to obtain calibration equation through 400~2,500 nm wavelength. The math treatment with 1st derivative and 4 nm gap and the modified partial least squares(MPLS)regression was outstanding for calibration equation. The standard error of calibration and determination coefficient in calibration set(n=115) was 6.65 and 0.98, respectively. And it showed that the extra 20 samples for validation equation were identified their authentication correctly. This study describes that the application of NIRS would be possible for discrimination of geographical origin between Korean domestic and imported soybeans.

The linearity, concentration range and precision of this analytical method are studied. The correlation coefficient of the calibration curve is 0.9983 and the standard error of calibration(SEC) is 0.14 %. Intra-day precision and Inter-day precision obtained in this method are CV = 0.45, CV =0.56, respectively.

  • A rapid and simple determination of diazepam in intact diazepam tablets has been investigated using the near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS) combined with partial least squares regession. The separate calibration curves of 2 mg and 5 mg diazepam tablets were studied, as well as the linearity, concentration range and reproducibility of those calibration curves were evaluated. The correlation coefficients of calibration curves of 2 mg and 5 mg diazepam tablets are 0.9416 and 0.9159, respectively and the standard errors of calibration curves(SEC) are 0.018% and 0.032%, respectively.

  • This paper proposes a new methodology for the real-time on-line quality monitoring of biofuel processes through the integration of infrared spectroscopy and chemometrics. A method of Partial Least Squares (PLS) in Chemometrics is employed for quantitative analysis of key components in bioethanol products. After a number of preprocessing methods and variable importance in projection (VIP) are used, Savitzky-Golay method showed the best performance in terms of spectrum correction, noise reduction, and model maintenance. The proposed method allows us to economically forecast the concentration of multiple impurities encountered with the production of bioethanol. The proposed system is also accurate enough ($R^2$ > 0.99) to replace the laboratory analysis.

  • In recent years, according to the increasing of information security compliance, information security management system's requirements is not a matter of choice but an essential problem. In this respect, this research have an invention to survey what it will affect employees in compliance with the privacy policy antecedents and how to apply this information for the future, and to suggest ways to improve the employees' information security policy compliance intentions. In this paper, To investigate the factors affecting the degree of information security policy compliance using the structural equation of least squares (PLS Partial Least Square) in the confumatory level (confirmatory), the factor analysis of the primary factor analysis and secondary last. The results is that almost of influencing factors affect to the compliance with information security policies directly, but not affect self-efficacy.
