In this study, we investigated irrigation effect for the paddy plot irrigated by pipeline with two types of hydrants: automatic and manual. The automatic hydrant have been introduced to the paddy field to save water and reduce the labor for water management. The automatic hydrant is automatically opened and closed according to the water depth of a paddy plot. The water management labor to close manual hydrant in the afternoon of every three days can be eliminated when we use the automatic hydrant. The water requirements for the automatic hydrant plot 3.26mm/d are much less than those for manual hydrant plot 9.99mm/d.

우리나라 지역발전정책은 80년대 들어서 심화된 국토불균형 문제를 해소하기 위하여 지역경제 활성화 및 지방투자 촉진 목적의 다양한 정책 수단을 마련하면서 본격화 되었다. 수도권 소재 기업의 지방 이전을 위한 각종 법률과 제도가 제정 시행된 결과 일정 부분 성공했다는 평가가 있다. 충북지역 역시 수도권 소재 기업의 유치를 위하여 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이러한 중앙정부와 지방정부의 다양한 노력 결과, 2000년 이후에 충북으로 이전한 총수는 약 170여개 기업 정도가 되었다. 이들 기업은 업종별이나 지역별 등과 같은 그 구성 비율로 볼 때 고르지 못한 면이 있다. 예를 들어 기업의 지역별 이전기업 수를 보면 충주 46개, 청원 28개 기업으로 주로 충북 북부지역과 중부권에 집중되어 있고 영동과 보은 등의 남부권으로 이전한 기업은 거의 없어, 균형 개발 차원에서 남부 3군(옥천 포함)에 대한 충북도 차원의 지원이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

A 300MHz PLL including FVC (frequency to voltage converter) is designed and fabricated in 0.8$\mu$m CMOS process. In this design, a FVC and a 2nd - order passive filter are added to the conventional charge-pump PLL to improve the acquisition time. The dual-rijng VCO(voltage controlled oscillator) realized in this paper has a frequency range form 208 to 320MHz. Integrated circuits have been fully tested and analyzed in detail and it is proved that pull-in speed is enhanced with the use fo FVC. In VCO range from 230MHz to 310MHz, experimental results show that realized PLL exhibits 4 times faster pull-in speed than that of conventional PLL.

A CMOS 950 MHz frequency synthesizer is designed and fabricated in a 0.8.mu.m standard CMOS process for IS-95-A CDMA mobile communication transceivers To utilize a CMOS ring VCO in a CDMA wireless communication receisver, we employed a QDC (quasi-direct conversion) receiver architecture for CDMA applications. Realized RF frequency synthesizer used as the RF local oscillator for a QDC receiver exhibits a phase noise of -92 dBc/Hz at 885kHz offset from the 950.4 MHz carrier, which complies with IS-95-A CDMA specification. It has a rms jitter of 23.7 ps, and draws 30mA from a 5V supply. Measured I/Q phase error of the 950.4 output signals is 0.7 degree.

Hoein Hyanggyo is a confucian shrine at Hoein, Boeungun, Chungbuk, Korea. Using tree rings, we dated its lecture hall, Myengryundang which is a two-storied wooden structure with half-gabled and half-hipped roof. The woods of Myengryundang consisted mainly of lard pine (probably, Pinus densiflora). We collected 27 samples (4 columns, 2 beams, 5 purlins, 4 capitals, 8 floor frames/boards and 4 others). The results indicated that the major cutting year was A.D. 1702. This date helped to correct the miswritten Chinese-calender date which was recorded in the document for the framework-raising ceremony.

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop nursing outcome indicators based on nursing activities done for stroke patients. Method: focus group meeting and delphi technique, which consisted of clinical nurse experts, neurologist, and nursing professors. CVI(Index of Content Validity) and user validity test was performed. Result: 12 nursing diagnoses, 29 nursing interventions and nursing outcomes were identified. The former were from NIC and the latter were developed according to nursing interventions. They were verified by experts in focus group. 199 nursing activities were identified, 133 nursing outcome indicators were developed. In user validity, usefulness and usability were tested. Conclusion: This systemic approach of measuring nursing outcomes verified nurses' positive effects in changing patients health status and nursing contributions in the health care system as a profession.

This case report presents a 34-year-old female patient. Her chief complaints are akinetic mutism and cognitive dysfunctions. We have diagnosed her with leukoencephalopathy. She was treated with Korean traditional herbal medicines (Joojackwhan) for 33 days continuously. The effects of treatment were measured by the Korean Mini - Mental State Examination and Modified Bathel Index. After treatment, her chief complaints have been improved. Furthermore, the K-MMSE, MBI scores increased. From this case, we deduced that the Korean traditional herbal medicines (Joojackwhan) could be effective for cognitive dysfunctions and akinetic mutism caused by leukoencephalopathy.

In this study, we investigated the characteristics of labor of water management and maintenance, water requirement, water quality(T-N, T-P, COD) in the paddy plot irrigated by pipeline with two types of hydrants: automatic and manual. The automatic hydrant have been introduced to the paddy field to save water and reduce the labor for water management. The automatic hydrant is automatically opened and closed according to the water depth of a paddy plot. The automatic hydrant generally developed more troubles than the manual hydrant. The water requirements are 2.7mm/d for the automatic hydrant plot and 17.6mm/d for the manual hydrant plot. The concentrations of pollutants in the two plots are higher in the ponded water than in the irrigation water and are highest after fertilizer application.

The purpose of this research is to present basic data for the residents, experts, and administrators to establish sustainable and future-oriented experience villages by investigating the operational realities of rural and mountain experience villages that have currently been promoted as the government-supported projects. First, in order to establish a sustainable experience village, each of the residents, experts and administrators who are the principal agents for cultivating the village should perform their role appropriately and build an organic cooperative system. The residents should have a sense of ownership and form a sense of solidarity by organizing communal consultation system. The experts should be able to present feasible project plans. The administrators need to have posture of understanding from the viewpoint of residents. In order to establish sustainable experience villages, ecological, cultural, and social values should be conveyed preferentially, and through this, the living spaces like farm villages should be formed.

We demonstrate the utilization of ion gel gate dielectrics for operating non-volatile transistor memory devices based on polymer semiconductor thin films. The gating process in typical electrolyte-gated polymer transistors occurs upon the penetration and escape of ionic components into the active channel layer, which dopes and dedopes the polymer film, respectively. Therefore, by controlling doping and dedoping processes, electrical current signals through the polymer film can be memorized and erased over a period of time, which constitutes the transistor-type memory devices. It was found that increasing the thickness of polymer films can enhance the memory performance of device including (i) the current signal ratio between its memorized state and erased state and (ii) the retention time of the signal.
