Effect of Expectancy-Value and Self-Efficacy on the Satisfaction with Metaverse Learning (메타버스를 활용한 교육에 대한 학습자의 기대 - 가치와 자기효능감이 교육 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to evaluate the usefulness of metaverse learning from the learner's point of view, this study 1) evaluated whether the expectancy-value of the class was satisfied before and after the learner used the metaverse learning platform and 2) verified factors affecting metaverse learning satisfaction with regard to the self-efficacy and expectancy-value of learners. Expectancy-value was evaluated by the learning effect, communication, class involvement, and learning attitude, whereas self-efficacy was evaluated by preference for task difficulty, self-regulation efficacy, and self-confidence. As a result of a study targeting 70 college students who applied for a few courses using the metaverse platform at a university in the northeastern part of Seoul, learners were found to have high expectations and values for learning before using the metaverse platform, but both were not statistically satisfied after use. In addition, the higher the self-efficacy of the learner, the higher the satisfaction with the metaverse learning, and statistically significant results were found in the task-difficulty preference and self-regulatory efficacy among the sub-factors of self-efficacy. There is a negative causal relationship between expectancy-value factors and satisfaction with metaverse learning. This study implies that it is a learner-centered evaluation of metaverse learning, revealing the expectancy-value effect and factors influencing the satisfaction with metaverse learning.

  • 최근의 휴대전화는 음성 통화뿐만 아니라 메시지 및 이메일 송/수신, 사진/동영상 촬영 등 다양한 종류의 작업을 수행할 수 있으며, 그 기능이 점차 확장되고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 화면 공간의 제약으로 인한 메뉴 항목명의 축약, 메뉴 항목수의 증가, 메뉴 구조의 복잡화 등의 원인 때문에 많은 사용자들이 메뉴검색에 불편함을 겪고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 기존의 메뉴 네비게이션을 통한 검색 방식, 하위 메뉴항목 제시 방식 이외에, 키워드 검색방식 및 유사 키워드 검색 방식을 개발하고 4가지 메뉴 검색방식의 사용성 평가실험을 수행하였다. 사용성 평가 실험 결과, 수행도 측면에서는 메뉴 검색 방식간의 차이가 유의하지 않았지만, 사용자 만족도 측면에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 존재하였다. 4가지 메뉴 검색 방식 중 유사 키워드 방식은 사용자 만족도 측면에서 가장 선호되는 방식으로써, 추후 실제 휴대전화에 적용될 경우 사용자 만족도를 제고할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Study on the Improvement Plan of Speed Limit and Road Service Quality according to the Implementation of Safety Speed 5030 Policy (안전속도 5030 시행에 따른 제한속도 및 도로서비스 질의 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The safety speed 5030 policy, which is currently being implemented nationwide, tends to increase citizens' dissatisfaction due to reduced mobility and inconvenience. In order to successfully promote the Safety Speed 5030 policy, it is important to collect various opinions of citizens who use roads by deviating from quantitative policy evaluation criteria such as traffic accidents and traffic speed. Therefore, in this study, citizens who use roads were classified into a driver group and a non-driver group, and civic consciousness analysis such as adequacy evaluation of speed limit, satisfaction evaluation of road service quality (MDS), and importance-satisfaction analysis (IPA) was conducted. As a result of the analysis of civic consciousness, in particular, satisfaction with mobility, economy, and environment was low. Accordingly, it was intended to promote the successful implementation of the Safety Speed 5030 policy by presenting measures to improve the speed limit and quality of road service for roads with low satisfaction.

  • Educational satisfaction is an important indicator of the educational field but the existing customer satisfaction index mainly focused on partial area because measurements could not reflect the alteration of university environment. The purpose of this research is to develop a new UCSI for university to improve the quality of university education. This research demonstrates validity and reliability of UCSI. This research uses the second-order confirmatory factor analysis. The results indicate that the reliability and validity of UCSI is verified. Education condition, education course, university development and student support are clarified to be appropriate components of the satisfaction survey. This research develops UCSI and applies it in a university. University managers can be used to measure the satisfaction level of university education and to improve the quality of university education.

  • This study focuses on the evaluation on the satisfaction of school education system based on perception levels of students corresponding to school locations. Twenty eight variables concerning with school education system were selected based on literature review and six factors such as reliability, sympathy, student supporting system, teachers' ability, principal physical environments, secondary physical environments were extracted by factor analysis. Satisfaction evaluation was performed by SERVPERP model based on perception level, and differences among respondents as well as school locations were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA. The results said there is no difference on teachers' ability factors. Especially, perception levels of students in rural area were lower than those in urban area except teachers' ability and secondary physical environments factors. Most respondents dissatisfy the school education system and they have no intention to recommend their school facilities (hardware) as well as educational programs (software) to other students in different schools.

  • Sign system is one of the most widely used guide media in scenic spots. It plays vital role in introducing cultural values of destinations to tourists with better visit experience. The purpose of this study is to derive the influence factors of the sign system of Mount Tai scenic area for tourists, analyze the satisfaction of tourists, and provide suggestions for the sign system of Mount Tai Mountaineering Road to improve tourists' satisfaction in the future. The evaluation items of Mount Tai Mountaineering Road sign system were derived from the previous studies and then subdivided comprehensively. Survey by questionnaires was carried out to obtain the influence factors. In order to understand the satisfaction degree of tourists, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was implemented. The research results of this study are summarized as follows. First, four influence factors of the sign system on Mountaineering Road of Mount Tai were concluded as the interpretation content, appearance modeling, interpretation methods and layout management. Second, the order of weight values of influence factors was the interpretation content, appearance modeling, interpretation methods and layout management respectively from high to low, which means that tourists paid more attention to practicality and aesthetics. Third, the satisfaction degree of the tourists on the sign system was different. The satisfaction level for the three factors (interpretation content, appearance modeling, layout management) was good, while the satisfaction for interpretation method was medium. The reason was that it failed to deepen the understanding of tourists on the natural and cultural values of Mount Tai Mountaineering Road. These results indicate great significance to provide theoretical basis for the later readjustment and design of the sign system and to improve the overall satisfaction of tourists on tourism experience.

Satisfaction Experienced in Urban Parks and Green Spaces according to Their Component and Arrangement - A Case Study on Tama Newtown, Japan - (도시공원녹지의 구성과 배치 특성에 따른 이용만족도에 관한 연구 - 일본 타마뉴타운의 사례중심으로 -)

  • Parks and green spaces have various functions for improving urban physical and social environments. Urban parks and green space planning have been applied in this study for the purpose of enhancing the urban environment. The most popular method for urban parks and green space planning is incrementing the quantity of parks and green spaces. However, it may not be possible to designate new parks and green spaces in a large city because of the difficulty of obtaining land. This study explores how urban parks and green space planning produces better quality urban environments without having to designate new parks and green spaces. The study evaluates existing parks and green spaces according to the satisfaction of the users. This evaluation could be a useful tool for those planning urban parks and green space systems. The study was performed in Tama Newtown, Japan, within two districts with two distinct characteristics of park systems: concentration and equality arrangement forms. For comparison, on-site questionnaires were used, with 319 residents in the area responding to the study. The data was collected and analyzed, using t-test, factor analysis, and multiple regression methods. The study found there was no difference in satisfaction factors be tween the two districts. However, differences were found within each of the districts, depending on parks and green space components. For example, the quality of green space was the most important factor for the district with a planned concentration arrangement form of parks and green spaces, but, separation of the pedestrian and vehicular systems was the most important factor in the district with a planned equality arrangement form of park system. Factors affecting the satisfaction of parks and green spaces that were common between the two sites were: accessibility, quality of park, quality of green space, and separation of pedestrian and vehicular traffics.

  • This study aims to analysis of determinants of the residents satisfaction of purchased rental housing and currently being implemented policy of supporting low-income families are empirically evaluated through the residential evaluation of purchased rental housing residents. Purchased rental housing users are possible to live in currently residing community consistently, have advantages for fewer problems of the phenomenon of social isolation, exclusion and preventing slumism of low-income families, are expected to increase in the future. First of all, the characteristics of residential environment, housing expenses and a head of household were examined for the residential environment evaluation of the residents of purchased rental housing, on the basis of this, the characteristics of internal and external house and residential location are examined each for the determinants of the residential environment satisfaction of purchased rental housing. The variables that affect residential satisfaction according to residential location are public facilities, educational facilities and welfare facilities respectively. In particular, the higher the satisfaction of access to welfare facilities, the higher the satisfaction of residential location of purchased rental housing was analyzed. The variables affecting the residential satisfaction according to the internal and external characteristics of house are significant in window status, cracking, heating facilities, housing scale and management.

A Comparative Study on the Results of Online Learning Satisfaction at a Medical School (일개 의과대학의 온라인 수업 만족도 비교 연구)

  • Online learning at a medical school was evaluated and improved based on the results of the evaluation and the principles of online learning environments design. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of online learning satisfaction between semesters from medical students and professors. To evaluate online learning, satisfaction surveys for an online learning platform, student participation, learning methods, learning contents, student assessments, and learning supports were developed and distributed to research participants. 223 students and 37 professors participated for the 1st semester, and 218 students and 49 professors participated for the 2nd semester, and paired t-tests were used for the analysis. Student satisfaction for the online learning platform, learning methods, learning contents, and learning supports were positively changed. However, the differences in the satisfaction for the student participation and student assessments were not statistically significant. In particular, students' satisfaction in basic medical sciences and clinical medicine periods decreased, whereas students' satisfaction in preclinical medicine and clinical clerkship periods increased. Based on the results, this study will contribute to the improvement of online learning at medical schools.

Analysis on Factors Influencing Foreign Chinese Students' Off-Campus Restaurant Satisfaction (중국인 유학생의 외식 만족도에 영향을 주는 요인 분석)

  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate the gap between perceived importance and performance of foreign Chinese students' off-campus restaurants selection attributes and to analyze the factors affecting their satisfaction with off-campus restaurants. All statistical analyses were conducted using the SPSS package program (ver. 20.0). In summary, Importance-Performance Analysis results indicated that 'price propriety', 'ventilation of dining room' and 'friendliness of employees' were key aspects that should be reinforced by off-campus restaurant managers. Additionally, exploratory factor analysis on the validity of the 23 attributes of off-campus restaurant selection resulted in the identification of 5 factors including 'food quality and price', 'physical environment and value', 'service environment', 'service quality', and 'convenience and cleanness'. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, 'service quality', 'service environment', 'food quality and price', and 'physical environment and value' had significantly positive effects on overall satisfaction. In conclusion, in order to increase customer satisfaction among Chinese students, off-campus restaurant managers should improve not only the quality of service and food, but also the physical and service environment.
