The case study of Topophilia's Role as a Motivator to Learn and an Analysis of Educational Resources (토포필리아의 학습동기 역할 사례와 교육자원 분석)

  • Topophilia refers to emotional bonding such as attachment to or nostalgia for one's home town, which is remembered or imagined as a beautiful and happy paradise experienced in youth. The time spent in one's home town may have been short, but the associated memories of it are strong and enduring. These can later act as a strong motivator to learn if the correlated emotions are positive. According to archival research conducted on Jooyoung Chung's life, his home town and the things found therein, such as cows, were the principal objects of his topophilia, and later became the driving forces behind his success story. The same applies to Dvorak. Dvorak sublimated his nostalgia for his home town by composing a piece of music on hearing the sound of a train. We can discover diverse rhythms in nature such as sunrises and sunsets, the changing seasons, and even our heart beat. If a melody is added to the rhythm, it transforms into art. And if we seek harmony and principles, it becomes science. In this study, Jeonbuk's nature, places, food, and arts, as represented in its educational resources, are analysed for their ability to give rise to topophilia.   • 오늘날 영어교육은 교과과정령에 엄연히 명시된 네 가지 기능(four skills) 즉 듣기, 말하기, 원기, 쓰기라는 정당하고도 보편 타당성 있는 명분 하에 어떻게 가르쳐 왔는가 를 반문해 보면 많은 아쉬움이 남는다. 그간 6년간의 중등과정, 심지어는 대학에서 환 두해까지 영어를 이수한 사람틀 중에는 문자를 통해서는 상당한 수준, 그것도 영어 토박이들조차 놀랄 정도의 영어를 이해하지만, 소리를 통해 들을 때는 ---말하는 것은 두말 할 것도 없고---아주 간단한 내용의 영어조차 알아듣기 힘든 경험을 한 사람이 많다는 것은 부인할 수 없는 사실이다. 그 이유는 명백하다. 즉, 문자를 대할 때는 시각적 자극의 형태가 두뇌 속에 저장된 정보---가공할 문법적 지식---와 일치하기 때문에 쉽게 이해를 할 수 있는 반면, 소리를 들을 때는 청각적 자극의 형태가 두뇌 속에 저장된 정보---극히 불완전한 발음사전, 또는 모국어의 음운체계에 의한 영어발음--- 와 차이가 있기 때문일 것이다. 그러므로 적어도 말소리를 매체로 하는 의사소통에 있어서는 영어의 본토박이 발음을 정확히, 아니면 적어도 매우 근접하게 나마 터득하여(습관화하여)두뇌에 저장하는 일이 가장 중요한 일이다. 따라서 영어교사는 모국어의 음운체계에 대한 정확하고도 상세한 지식을 토대로 하여 영어의 음운체계와 '언어학적으로 의미 있는 (linguistically significant)' 대초분석의 방법으로 발음을 지도한다면 보다 나은 학습효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다. 일반적으로 모국어의 발음이 외국어의 발음에 간섭을 유발하는 경우는 다음과 같다. 1. 분절음체계가 서로 다를 때 2. 한 언어의 음소가 다른 언어의 이음(allophone)일 때 3. 유사한 음의 조음장소와 방법 이 다를 때 4. 분절음의 분포 또는 배열이 다를 때 5. 음운현상이 다를 때 6. 언어의 리듬이 다를 때 위의 여섯 가지 경우를 중심으로 영어와 한국어의 발음특성을 대조하여 '낯선 말투(foreign accent)' 또는 발음오류를 최소로 줄이는 것이 영어교사의 일차적인 목표이다.

  • In machine translation the goal of natural language generation is to produce an target sentence transmitting the meaning of source sentence by using an parsing tree of source sentence and target expressions. It provides generator with linguistic structures, word mapping, part-of-speech, lexical information. The purpose of this study is to research the Korean Characteristics which could be used for the establishment of an algorism in speech recognition and composite sound. This is a part of realization for the plan of automatic machine translation. The stage of MT is divided into the level of morphemic, semantic analysis and syntactic construction.

An Analysis of Operation Sense in Division of Fraction Based on Case Study (사례 연구를 통한 분수 나눈셈의 연산 감각 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze operation sense in detail with regard to division of fraction. For this purpose, two sixth grade students who were good at calculation were clinically interviewed three times. The analysis was focused on (a) how the students would understand the multiple meanings and models of division of fraction, (b) how they would recognize the meaning of algorithm related to division of fraction, and (c) how they would employ the meanings and properties of operation in order to translate them into different modes of representation as well as to develop their own strategies. This paper includes several episodes which reveal students' qualitative difference in terms of various dimensions of operation sense. The need to develop operation sense is suggested specifically for upper grades of elementary school.

  • 최근 국악계가 지향하는 국악의 발전 방향은 국악의 대중화 및 현대화에 초점이 맞춰져있다. 이에 국악인들은 창작 국악, 크로스 오버 국악 등의 새로운 국악을 연주하는 공연을 진행해오고 있으나 타 분야의 기술 융합을 통한 국악 관련 콘텐츠 개발의 측면에서 제작된 디지털 콘텐츠들은 두각을 드러내지 못했다. 다수의 선행연구에서는 국악 소재 디지털 콘텐츠에 관한 학술적 연구가 미미하다고 언급하며 이에 대한 연구의 필요성을 강조했다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 국악 소재 디지털 콘텐츠의 특징에 관한 사례연구를 진행했다. 사례조사 범위는 국내 스마트폰 보급이 본격화 된 2009년부터 2022년까지로 설정하여 해당 자료를 수집했다. 본 연구의 분석기준은 사례를 크게 콘텐츠의 기능적 측면과 내용적 측면으로 나누어 국악과의 연계성을 분석하는 데에 집중했다. 연구 결과 팬데믹으로 인한 언택트 형태의 온라인 국악 교육 콘텐츠가 주를 이루었고, 정보 콘텐츠와 교육 콘텐츠의 사례가 모두 이에 해당했다. 공연 콘텐츠는 LED 기술을 사용한 의상을 입은 퍼포먼스형 공연의 형태와 3D 미디어 아트가 주가 되는 음악회의 형태가 있고, 오락 콘텐츠는 리듬 게임과 스토리텔링형 게임으로 나눌 수 있었다. 본 연구는 선행연구에서 언급한 국악 콘텐츠 연구의 한계점을 해소하고자 수집한 자료를 본 연구의 분석 기준에 적용하여 특징을 도출하는 데에 그치지 않고 더 나아가 향후 국악 소재 디지털 콘텐츠가 개발되어야 할 방향을 제안했다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 지닌다. 또한 사례의 연도별 추이를 파악하였으므로 국악을 소재로 한 콘텐츠 제작 사례에 관한 연구를 진행하는 향후 연구자들에게 기초자료로서 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

Effect of Music activitics using audition on Music Aptitude development for Kindergarten Children (오디에이션 음악활동이 유치원 아동의 음악소질 향상에 미치는 영향)

  • According to Edwin Gordon(1987, 1997, 2003), music aptitude is a product of interaction of innate potential and early environmental experiences. He referred to music aptitude of children up to nine years of age as developmental music aptitude which fluctuates due to musical environment. Music aptitude stabilizes at age nine, and the music aptitude after age nine is called "stabilized music aptitude". This research is to examine Gorden's hypothesis that the younger a child receives music education, the higher music aptitude. Also, this research is to experiment the effect of Audiation activities developed in Audie Music Curriculum on music aptitude. The researcher and another Audie teacher as a co-teacher guided children together for 30 minutes once a week. The pedagogy guidelines for informal guidance in music learning theory were kept throughout the classes. Also, Audie's teaching method which had been developed for Korean Kindergarten educational environment was also applied. Five-year-old subjects in Experimental group 1 experienced the Audie Music Curriculum of one year; five-year-old subjects in Experimental group 2 experienced it for two years. Primary Measures of Music Audiation was administered three times during their last year of Kindergarten. Subjects in the Control groups, one examined at the beginning and the other at the end of their last year in Kindergarten, received no Audie instruction. There was no significant difference in tonal aptitude, but there was significant difference in rhythmic aptitude(p< .05) among the experiemental groups. Because both Experimental groups showed statistical significance (p< .001) in the music aptitude increase during their academic years, the significant differences of the year-end music aptitude between control group and experimental groups were the expected result.

  • Within a context of rapid technological change and shifting market conditions, the education environment requires new paradigm of education delivery. In accordance of such a technological progress, distance education system, which makes the learning take place at anytime anywhere, overcoming barriers of time, or distance, is emerging as a mainstream of education delivery replacing the convectional one way delivery system from instructor to learners. This paper aims to introduce the development principle and algorithm about Instructional System Desgin(ISD) module, a part of a total solution for distance education services. It was developed on Linux, a free Unix-type operating system. Linux supports so various network protocols, sharing the network resources in a smooth way, that it is able to integrate with other operating system very easily, especially with Windows NT or Windows 2000 servers. In terms of quality, it never falls behind the windows products which are commercially available only. It is a right operating system for the such a school environment that is usually limited in budgets. The development environment of the distance education solution to which ISD module belongs is composing of Apache server for web server, lava bean based on components for ISD module, PHP, server-side scripting language, for HTML documents and MySQL for DBMS.

  • Movement is everything in life and music is with our whole lives. Based on movement and sound, art has developed and reflected the times with close ties to technology and is creating new cultural content in the digital age. The absence of experts and research institutes with academic knowledge and experience in various fields compared to the frequency with which music and body movements are interwoven in the intermedia art and education of convergence is a real problem. Introducing the Rhythmik that studied the most basic principles of music and exercise through the precedent of foreign universities, we raise the need to introduce music physiology, musicians' Medicine and music performance science, the areas we studied together. It presents a new direction in the convergence era and education in pioneering research areas in which the only "I myself" systematically recognizes the movement to become the subject through physiology and medicine and scientifically moves and expresses music as a medium.

Detection of Ventricular Fibrillation using Time-Frequency Analysis (시간-주파수 공간 분석법을 이용한 심실세동의 자동 검출에 관한 연구)

  • 심실세동은 환자의 생명을 위협하는 가장 치명적인 부정맥으로서, 심실세동의 발견즉시 특별한 조치를 취하지 못할 경우 환자는 급사한다. 심실세동을 정지시키는 유일한 방법은 전기적 제세동이며 이는 환자의 심장 부위에 전기적 에너지를 가해 정상 심장 리듬을 되찾도록 하는 방법이다. 심실세동의 발생은 예측할 수 없고, 이를 진단하기 위한 심전도 교육을 모든 의료인에게 할 수 없으므로 심전도를 자동 분석하여 심실세동을 조기에 검출하는 자동 분석장치의 개발은 심실세동에 의한 급사를 줄이는데 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 교차간섭성분의 제거 능력이 뛰어나며 쉽게 구사할 수 있는 Choi-Williams distriguteion (CWD) 방법을 이용하여 급사를 초래할 수 있는 심실세동을 자동 검출하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 그리고 개발된 알고리즘의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 두 그룹의 심실세동 데이터를 사용하였다. 검출 알고리즘은 심실세동의 시간 및 주파수 특성을 일곱가지 조건들에 대한 만족 여부를 이용하여 심실세동을 판정하였고, 실험의 민감도와 선택도는 각각 92.1%, 97 .2% 이다.
