  • This study attempted to examine the characteristics of discourse on the role of schools and to explore its implications. To this end, major daily newspaper articles during the pandemic, in which discourse on the role of schools increased rapidly, were reviewed. As a result, people made the following assumptions about the role of schools. First, schools are institutions that must provide equal learning. Second, schools are institutions that must provide caring education. These findings have led to renewed essential questions about the role of schools. It is also necessary to further subdivide and discuss the role of the school raised in the discourse. The results of this study implicated that all of these roles have the potential to bring about a structure that makes each teacher lean on passion and sacrifice without distinction between the role of the school and the role of the teacher.

  • The integrated transit fare system of Seoul metropolitan area has given positively evaluated with reduction of user cost and activating the transfer behavior from its opening year, July 2007. However, there were only few research about railway demand forecasting methodology, especially mode share, has conducted under the integrated fare system. This study focuses on the utility estimation by each mode under the integrated fare system, and on the coefficient actualization relates on travel time and travel cost estimation with Household Travel Survey Data 2006. Also the railway demand analysis methodology under various fare systems is presented. The methodology from this study is expected to improve accuracy and usefulness in railway demand analysis.

  • In spite of continuous implementation of the transportation demand management (TDM), the profuse use of car at the peak-time has caused chronic traffic congestion in the Seoul downtown area. This study makes a comparative analysis on the effectiveness of commuting cost subsidy system for public transit user with other policy instruments such as an increment in fuel tax and park cost. This study not only follows standard guidelines of stated preference methodology to guarantee objectivity, but also uses sample enumeration method and non-Parametric bootstrapping method to secure reliability of empirical results. As a result of empirical studies, the conversion effect of car to public transit is superior to other two Policy instruments. Also. an increment in fuel tax and park cost is income-regressive from the equity aspect in a wage bracket, but commuting cost subsidy system for Public transit user is Income-progressive As a fundamental research on commuting cost subsidy system for public transit user, this study is likely to Provide Policy-makers with quantitative information useful in establishing Public transport Policy to Promote the use of the public transit.

Analyzing the Relationship Between Precipitation and Transit Ridership Through a Seemingly Unrelated Regression Model (SUR 모형을 이용한 강수량과 대중교통 승객 수간 관계 분석)

  • Weather condition is one of the crucial factors affecting travelers' mode choice. Nevertheless, there are numerous indefinite traffic phenomena under various weather conditions. This study was conducted to verify the hypothesis that transit riderships decrease as precipitation increases. To clarify the relationship between precipitation and transit ridership, a seemingly unrelated regression model was employed with data such as daily precipitation and daily transit riderships of 3 transit modes (bus, metro, and shuttle bus) collected in Busan for recent 24 months. The estimation results show that transit riderships decreased as the daily precipitation increased when the daily precipitation is greater or equal to 10mm/day (0.169%, 0.101%, and 0.172% reduction in bus, metro, and shuttle bus riderships, respectively, when the daily precipitation increased by 1mm). When comparing the impact of precipitation on transit riderships by modes using a cross-equation parameter restriction test, the decrease in metro ridership is relatively insensitive to the change in precipitation. However, the negative coefficient of precipitation in the metro ridership estimation model indicates that the transit users in Busan may alter their mode to taxi or automobile and/or may give up the trip itself in bad weather condition.

  • Young Chinese audience can select and watch TV dramas, movies and entertainment programs from many different nations, such as Korea, America, Japan, England, Thailand, India, and so on, through multiple channels, such as online video sites - iQiyi, Youku, LeTV, PPTV, and many others - which were induced by changes in media environment. Various genres of Korean popular culture have recently become popular in China, but this phenomenon differs from the early Korean Wave. During the earlier period (from 1997 to the early 2000s) of the Korean Wave, soap operas were popular among middle-aged women, but now various other genres, such as K-pop, entertainment programs, etc., are also popular in China. The purpose of this study is to explore how young Chinese audiences use foreign pop culture, including their preferred genres, reasons for preferring these genres, and the relationship between the preferred pop culture and national image in Korean, American, and Japanese pop culture were analyzed. According to the study results, similarities and differences between preferred genres and the reasons for preferring these genres, and also a close correlation between preferred pop culture and national image were found. These findings will be fundamental for supporting the continual development of the Korean Wave in China.

Design and Implementation of Space Time Point for Real-time Public Transportation Route Guidance (실시간 대중교통 경로안내를 위한 Space Time Point 모델의 설계와 구현)

  • Recent environmental concerns have made interest in environment-friendly transportation means such as walking, biking, and public transportation. However, since it is difficult to move long distance by walking or biking, their scope of application is rather limited. On the other hand, public transportation can solve traffic congestion, a recent social issue, though its usability may depend on its time schedule. Currently available information services on public transportation in the Web do not reflect well such traits of the public transportation; thus, in some cases, they may provide wrong information to end users. To solve such problems and provide information based on timetable of public transportations, this paper proposes a STP(Space Time Point) data model. Unlike existing space-time data models, this model recognizes the bottommost element of an object as a point and structures these points in hierarchical way to define an object. In particular, It can make it possible to implement a variety of dynamic spatial objects changing object information according to time. An objective of this study is to design a STP model for bus and subway based on timetables of public transportation in Daejeon area and builds a system to provide path navigation. With the designed navigation function, a path from the Daejeon National Cemetery to Hannam University was searched by time slot. The result showed that the system provided different paths by time, as the system guided different paths when bus operation was limited in midnight. As existing data model could not provide such results, it is confirmed that the system can provide path navigation based on real-time traffic information. It is expected that based on such functionality, it is possible to provide additional functionalities by applying diverse data models such as real-time transport information or traffic history information.

Analysis of the types and path of young children to the popular songs (유아가 좋아하는 대중가요의 종류와 대중가요를 접하게 되는 경로 분석)

  • This study aims to investigate the types of popular songs and the paths to reach popular songs. Young children no longer sings for them. The popular song is deeply located around young children. Participants were 73 kindergarten children. Preliminary interviews were conducted from October 1, 2018 to October 11, 2018. Through the preliminary interview, the structured question was revised and the interview was conducted. This interview was conducted from October 22, 2018 to November 9. Based on the transferred data, I classified the types of popular songs that young children encounter into popular songs, popular singers, and genres. The path that young children touches the popular song is analyzed as place, medium, and person. As a popular song by young children, iKon as a popular singer, and k-pop as a genre. There were many kindergartens and houses in the place where young children got to know the popular songs, and they came into contact with many people through Youtube, and they got through family and friends. Through research, I have found that popular songs are already deeply embedded in the everyday life of young children. Now, it is necessary for young children to be equipped with popular song literacy.

A Study on Senior Citizen Free Transport Policy Improvement of Urban Railway Transportation (도시철도의 노인무임수송정책 개선에 관한 고찰)

  • A sudden increase of old people's free urban railway transportation resulted from the acceleration of aging trend causes the chronic deficit. As continuous deficit caused by the free urban railway transportation of old people is expected, a fairness problem about the fare system of using public transportation is issued because only the urban railway provides free-rides to them, which is contrast to bus-riders paying full payments. Therefore, the study intends to draw an alternate to solve the problem of the free urban transportation uses by calculating an appropriate fare ratio between the two transportation modes, which is expected to alleviate the fairness issue between the urban railway and the bus.

  • 급변하는 기후변동으로 인하여 집중 호우 빈발과 도시화와 지역개발로 인한 홍수피해 급증 등을 유발하여 많은 지역들이 홍수에 노출되는 위험도가 증가되고 있고 사회적으로는 물 관리에 대한 대중의 참여증대와 환경에 대한 인식의 제고 등으로 대중에게 치수관련 정책의 정당성에 대한 설득력을 주어야 하는 추세이다. 따라서 치수정책 시행시 일반대중들에게 치수현황을 쉽게 파악할 수 있고 필요한 정책 수단에 대한 공감대 형성을 위한 지역과 유역의 홍수취약성을 평가할 수 있는 치수관리지수의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 국내 외에서 개발되었던 대표적인 치수관리지수들의 개발목적, 필요자료 등을 소개하고, 비교 및 평가를 통해 선행연구들의 한계를 검토하여 국내 실정에 적합한 유역의 홍수취약성을 평가하기 위한 치수관리지수 산정모형 개발에 대한 연구방향을 제시하고자 한다.

A Model for Shortest Path Calculation on lntermodal Transportation Network (복합 교통망에서의 최적경로산정 모형개발)

  • 자동차보급의 대중화와 함께 버스, 전철 등 대중교통체계의 지속적인 서비스 확충으로 인해 다양한 교통망의 이용행태가 나타나고 있다. 즉, 승용차를 이용하다가 대중교통수단을 이용하는 경우가 발생하게 되고 이러한 환경에서, 기타 통행대안들(예를 들면 목적지, 수단, 경로 등)이 효율적으로 연계 선택되어질 수 있도록 지원하여 전체 교통체계의 이용효율을 높일 수 있는 방안들이 강구되도록 요구되어지고 있다. 본고는 이런 관점에서 복합교통망에서의 경로안내 체계의 구현을 위한 알고리즘개발과 평가를 주목적으로 한다. 즉, 복합교통망에서의 경로탐색모형과 이 모형에 적용가능한 경로탐색 알고리즘의 제시하고, 이를 위해 복합교통말의 한 축이 되는 대중교통망의 특징을 분석하고 대중교통망에서의 경로탐색알고리즘을 평가하였으며 이를 바탕으로 일반가로망과의 최단경로구축의 통합방안을 제시하였다. 알고리즘의 구현과정을 필요한 데이터의 구축과정과 함께 도시함으로서 모형과 알고리즘에 대한 평가와 함께 실제 구현시 필요한 제반 사항들도 검토하였으며, 장래의 연구과제를 아울러 제시하였다.
