The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among multicultural experience, multicultural acceptance, cultural empathy, and empathy in adolescents. Moreover, the study attempted to reveal that how multicultural experience had an effect on empathy and whether multicultural acceptance and cultural empathy had an indirect effect. Based on previous researches, a study model was established. Data were collected and analyzed from 266 adolescents. The results were as follows. There was positive correlation between main variables and adolescents' multicultural experience had an effect on empathy via the path of mediating multicultural acceptance and cultural empathy. Therefore, it was suggested to develop programs which improve multicultural acceptance and cultural empathy. However, they should be offered differentially and implemented sustainedly in stages.

우리나라는 정부차원에서 교육과학기술부, 문화체육관광부, 여성가족부, 보건복지가족부, 법무부, 지방자치단체 등 관련 부처별로 필요한 분야에 한해 다문화 강사 양성이 이루어지고 있다. 교육과학기술부에서는 2007년 다문화가정 자녀교육 지원계획을 발표하고 2008년부터 각 교육청 주관으로 다문화교육 직무연수를 외부에 위탁하여 중앙 및 각 지방 다문화교육센터를 중심으로 현직교사 대상 '다문화교육을 위한 교사 양성 연수 프로그램'을 지속적으로 운영하고 있다. 문화체육관광부 산하 한국문화예술교육진흥원에서는 2008년에 다문화강사 양성과정을 개설하여 운영하였다. 그리고 여성부는 청소년, 이주노동자, 이주여성을 대상으로 다문화교육을 제공할 목적으로 2008년에 '다문화이해교육 강사양성' 과정을 개설하였다. 그러나 이들은 모두 일회성에 머물러 지속적으로 연계되지는 못했다. 또한 보건복지가족부는 2007년에 '결혼이민자 다문화가족 지원센터'에서 종하며 교육활동을 하기 위한 다문화 강사 80명을 일차적으로 양성하였다. 최근에는 각 지방자치단체별 다문화가족 지원센터에서 결혼이민자를 다문화 강사로 활용하여 청소년들에게 다문화 이해 교육을 제공하도록 하는 '다문화강사 양성과정'을 개별적으로 개설하여 운영하고 있다(설동훈 김찬기, 2009). 한편 법무부는 2008년 5월 다문화 이해증진 및 이민자 사회통합을 위한 정책개발 추진에 우수 대학의 적극적인 참여 기회를 부여하고, 관련 분야에 대한 대학의 새로운 학문 개척 기회를 마련하기 위해 공모 절차를 거쳐 20개의 ABT대학을 최종 선정하였다. 명지대학교는 2010년 3월부터 산업대학원 산업시스템경영학과 국제교류경영학석사 과정에서 국제교류경영 전문가 양성을 운영하고 있다. 경기도 지원 경기도의 새로운 브랜드 가치 실현을 위한 '다문화사회를 위한 의식개선 사업'으로 사회통합 - 다문화사회 공동체 형성을 목표로 총4개의 컨소시엄 기관(시흥시, 수원시, 화성시외국인복지센터, 의정부시외국인근로자지원센터)이 형성되어 2010년 2월22에서 2010년12월20까지 시행되었다. 본 연구는 '다문화사회를 위한 의식개선 사업'을 통해 교육대상자 구분과 사업장 교육 지역별 구분과 일반인 교육 지역별 구분을 파악하고 이를 기초로 우리의 다문화사회에 도움이 될 수 있는 다문화교육의 개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

This study was developed to evaluate the effectiveness of a multicultural education program for college students. To this end, the program was designed to offer them a series of twenty lectures for three months, 60 hours in total, and a quasi-experimental design was employed to evaluate the difference between pre-test and post-test scores of participants of both experimental group(N=45, Mdiff=.378) and control group(N=47, Mdiff=.036) on their attitudes on cultural diversity. Also, pre-test and follow-up test scores were compared to confirm whether the effect was sustained. The results showed that while the pre-post difference was statistically significant for experimental group participants(t=4.264, p=.000), the difference was not significant for control group students. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the program was sustained among students in the experimental group at a 3-month follow-up test(t=2.466, p=.016). In conclusion, the multicultural education program, in fact, proved to be effective in changing the attitudes of college students in understanding and accepting different cultures in Korean society.

This study was to identify the cultural competence and educational needs for cultural nursing competence according to the cultural contact experience. The survey participants were 125 nursing students in S university of Gyeonggi-do. The data were collected through self-report questionnaires from October 1 to 31 in 2021. Data were analyzed using independent t-test, one-way ANOVA of the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The cultural competence was 3.49±0.55 points, and the educational needs for cultural nursing competence was 8.25±0.10 points. The cultural competence showed significant differences according to academic score(F=7.465, p=.001), multicultural friend(t=-2.477, p=.016), foreign language communication ability(t=-3.113, p=.002), and suburban multicultural education (t=-2.030, p=.045), and there was no difference in educational needs for cultural nursing competence according to cultural contact experience. It is necessary to provide an educational program that enhances foreign language communication and strengthens qualitative contact experience with multicultural subjects in order to increase the cultural competency of nursing students.

The purpose of this stud is to find out what factors that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers affect multicultural efficacy are. In order to achieve this research purpose, the survey was carried out by using questionnaires targeting 394 early childhood teachers working in Early Childhood Educational Institutions located in I city. The response results are as follows: First, multicultural awareness, multicultural attitude, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers did not show any difference by workplace. Second, it turned out that there is a significant correlation between multicultural awareness, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers. Third, it turned out that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers have a positive influence on multicultural efficacy. In view of the results of this study, multicultural efficacy can be improved when awareness and attitude of early childhood teachers on multicultural education are changed so it is thought that various studies that can continuously conduct multicultural education training programs etc. for early childhood teachers should be conducted.

This study attempted to identify the multi-cultural acceptance level of freshmen in nursing colleges and to analyze the factors influencing it. For the research method, data were collected from 410 first-year nursing students at K University in W City through a questionnaire from March 1 to 28, 2021, and frequency, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression were conducted using the open-source statistical package R. As a result of the study, the multi-cultural acceptance level of freshman in nursing colleges averaged 77.36 points, indicating that they have a slightly higher multi-cultural acceptance capacity, and as a result of analyzing the influence of multi-cultural acceptance related factors, Korean recognition requirements(𝛽=0.34, p<.001), perceived threat recognition for migrants (𝛽=0.29, p<.001), Experience in multi-cultural education(𝛽=0.14, p<.001), Recognition of the appropriate age for multi-cultural education (𝛽=0.20, p<.001) was statistically significant. According to results, it is necessary to develop and actively utilize regular curriculum and programs related to multi-culturalism for nursing students.

The purpose of this study is to examine in more depth how community fatherhood programs affected the lives of fathers and their families through the FGI(focus group interview) after the end of the programs. Five father participation programs from four Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Centers were selected for this research. Focus groups with 3-5 individuals for each program were conducted, with a total sample size of 20 people. Using content analysis, 16 concepts were extracted and classified into seven categories and two sub-topics. Finally, based on these results, this study developed a series of suggestions for the planning of father participation programs.

The purpose of this study is to develop the public library programs that support the needs of multicultural families by examining the details of their information needs, focusing on the children's education issues of multicultural families. For this purpose, the data on experiences and needs related to the education of multicultural families' children were collected through in-depth interviews with married immigrant women. The study found the following six types of children's education-related needs of multicultural families: 1) Lack of understanding about the educational system and situation of Korean schools, 2) Their children's needs for language and learning 3) Their children's Bilingual education 4) Educational information for the role of parents, 5) Prejudice and discrimination against their children at school 6) Supporting library awareness and experience of mulitcultural families. Based on these needs, the following programs were suggested: 1) Parent role program for children's education, 2) Children's learning program, 3) Children's language education program, 4) Multicultural understanding education, 5) Library user education and guidance.

With the rapid increase of multicultural families in South Korea due to international marriages and the influx of foreign workers, the number of children from these families enlisting in the military is also rising. It is projected that by 2030, over 10,000 recruits from multicultural backgrounds will join the military annually. This influx can help mitigate the issue of decreasing military resources due to low birth rates and enhance the cultural diversity within the military. However, the lack of multicultural awareness and the presence of discrimination in the military can hinder the well-being of these multicultural soldiers. This study aims to analyze the multicultural phenomenon in the Korean military and explore development strategies to ensure the stable service and healthy military culture for multicultural soldiers. The theoretical background of multiculturalism and diversity in the military is examined, along with the analysis of multicultural military operations in other countries. Management strategies for multicultural soldiers, including leadership and organizational culture innovation, multicultural education and awareness programs, and the establishment of tailored support systems, are proposed. Furthermore, policy recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of multicultural policies in the Korean military are presented. Supporting the successful military service of multicultural soldiers will contribute to the enhancement of military combat power and the acceptance of multiculturalism in Korean society.

This research is to study the interaction of multiculture parents in law between. daughter in law. We approached hermeneutical grounded theory and six of multiculture family's parent's in law participated this research. Data were collected by the depth interview and various written records and we could construct 9 hermeutical theme by analyzing and categorizing 83 meaning units, 22 categories. We descripted the process of acculturation between parent's in law and daughter in law. The result as follows : ① sticking self dimensions → ② strategic acceptomce → ③ making shade of co-existence → ④ self dismantling and reconstruction. Finally we proposed the 「joint program of parent's in law and daughter in law for reinforcing culture unpetence」.
