Earthquakes have occurred owing to movements on a fault since several billion years ago. Research on the relationship between earthquakes and groundwater began in the 1960s in the United States, but related works, including hydrogeochemistry research, only began in the 2010s in South Korea. In this study, domestic studies on the relationship between earthquakes and groundwater until 2021 were collected from the Web of Science and characterized by subject area (groundwater level, hydrogeochemistry, combination of the two, and others). The results showed that the number of published articles per year was positively correlated with the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, 2016 Gyeongju earthquake, and 2017 Pohang earthquake, with the maximum numbers observed in 2011, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Most studies on the relationship between earthquakes and groundwater level addressed groundwater level fluctuations in the duration of the subject earthquake, with little consideration of the precursors. Groundwater level monitoring data, as well as hydrogeochemical information and microbial communities, may contribute to a more detailed understanding of groundwater flow and chemical reactions in bedrock caused by earthquakes. Therefore, the establishment of a national groundwater monitoring network for seismic monitoring and prediction is required.
The purpose of this study was to examine the professors, who teach the dental hygiene program in Korea, their Awareness on authors determined among research ethics. Three hundred and six full time professors and four hundred and eighty four part time professors in seventy eight universities all around Korea were surveyed. The following are the results that the collected data was carried out statistical analysis by using SPSS 12.0 program. The results was as followed. 1. The present study's author makers, 95 respondents (55.6%) experienced advising professor and 67 respondents (39.2%) experienced personally. 2. As recognition about range and order decision of the authors, they expressed the biggest recognition that person who did the interpretation of the results or gave important information doesn't always become the first author of the article($2.81{\pm}.485$). 3. Between general characteristics and authorship recognition level, they were statistically significantly different with number of articles published as the first author(p<0.05). 4. Regarding the correlation between students who helped with collection of data and references also have the right to be the author of the research article and Person who did the rough draft translation also has the right to be the co-author of the research article had a statistically significant correlation of .433 which was the highest correlation factor (p<0.01). Conclusions, rules and regulations on research ethic should be more publicized through educational institutions.
The purpose of this study is to investigate current trends of research in STEAM education through the analysis of published articles in Korea on STEAM education between 2011~2014. By looking into the research trend, this study check out research's achievements for four years and suggest guiding light to determine the direction of the research of STEAM education. The number of papers of STEAM education had continuously increased from 2011 to 2014 but the increase in research tended to stall by 2014. In 2014 the research for kindergartens started to increase and research for slow learning students and special students was done. With regard to the number of studies published relating to the curriculum, many studies centered in the study of the actual and science curriculum which took a large portion since the adoption. In the kindergarten and university level, the study based on art showed the highest while in elementary, middle and high school level, the actual and science curriculum took a major portion in its studies. The general academic associations continue to expand their research area with regard to STEAM education while the academic related associations show a 16% decline in its number of studies published when comparing 2014 to 2013. A higher proportion of qualitative research methods such as case studies are needed to be addressed in the future while more research should be done on education policies for the establishment of a system to share the program that contains the distribution of the education programs and its utilization. In addition, a long-term research should be conducted to verify the effectiveness of the education of teachers for teaching candidates and school teachers.
Statistics education research is an important basis for improving the practice of statistical education by describing, predicting, and explaining the phenomena of statistical education. In this study, the research trends in Korea were analyzed through the statistical education research papers published in major Korean mathematics education journals on the 21st century. 99 papers published in these journals from 2000 to 2016 were categorized by journals, research subjects, research methods, and, topics. As a result, it was shown that there are not many statistics education researchers, so domestic researches are dependent on some researchers. In addition, the numbers of studies of human subjects and human non-subject researches were similar. There were few studies of university students, and the studies of teachers' subjects was gradually increasing since 2010. In the case of research methods, the numbers of experimental and non-experimental studies seem to be similar, but this is a result of the increase in qualitative research and mixed research since 2010. Last, many studies about domestic statistics education are on teaching and learning, and the studies on reasoning and understanding have been increasing. In this study, we see the research trends of domestic statistics education and provide implications for the future researches and development directions of statistical education research.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends and contents of the research related to infant and child safety published in the domestic journals from 2000 to 2018. To analyze this, we selected 136 articles related to child care practice published in the journals from 2000 to 2018. A total of 136 papers were analyzed for frequency, percentage and ${\chi}^2$ using the SPSS Win 23.0 program. The main results of this study are as follows: First, the articles related to child care practice were published the most in 2014~2018. According to the time of study, quantitative research of the articles related to child care practice decreased, but qualitative research of the articles related to child care practice increased. In addition, questionnaire research of the articles related to child care practice decreased, but interview research of the articles related to child care practice increased. It is expected that this research will provide basic data on research topics such as child care practice who need further research.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to quantitatively analyze the quantitative changes in, and the status of, overseas occupational therapy using text mining. Methods : Using PubMed, research papers on Elderly, Health and Occupational therapy published between 2009 and 2019 were selected for analysis, Abstracts of the selected papers were analyzed. The number of annual papers, the key words, the key words by year, and the relationship between the words were analyzed. Results : The number of papers published from 2009 to 2019 was 9,941, there was a gradual increase from 2009 to the highest in 2017 or 2018, followed by a decreasing trend in 2019. Within the last five years, the most frequent words were Care, Group, Intervention, Pain, Treatment, and Work. There was a strong relationship between the words based on the average frequency over the last 11 years, function, health, event, and partition. Conclusion : This study is meaningful because it applied a new research method called text mining to the empirical and systematic analysis of trends in occupational therapy and presented macroscopic and comprehensive results. The findings are expected to help establish new research directions at clinical and research sites for occupational therapy related to older adults.
Objective: The purpose of this study was conducted to systematic review about assessment tools for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) for stroke patients. Methods: Studies tools was administered by using four electronic databases (Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane and NDSL). For the main key words,"stroke AND activities of daily living AND occupational therapy AND assessment OR evaluation OR measurement"was used. We analyzed the types and frequency of evaluation tools. In addition, the evaluation tools for activities and participation were classified based on the classification criteria of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). Results: In this study, 111 studies were analyzed and 30 assessment tools were identified. As the number of studies on stroke patients has been increased recently, the types and frequency of evaluation tools have been also increased. The most commonly used evaluation tools were Functional Independence Measure (FIM), Barthel Index (BI) and Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). In addition, according to classification based on ICF, we found that the types of assessment tools which assess participation were few. Conclusion: Although there were many kinds of assessment tools, the types of evaluation tools which were used in the research or field were very limited. Using various assessment tools, more research should be conducted to support evidence-based occupational therapy. Evaluation tools for participation also should be developed.
Correcting an imbalance between cognitive and affective aspects of mathematics in schools is recognized as a crucial issue with regards to mathematics education in Korea. Therefore, research and studies about affective aspects have been increasing and themes relating to affective aspects were diverse. Their theme included the improvement of affective aspect, investigation of factors of affective aspect, and development of measurement tools for affective aspect. The purpose of this study is to analyze and organize the research that has been done with respect to affective aspect and drive trend, implication, and their instruction to mathematics education. This study has investigated 103 studies released from 2005 to 2015 on KCI, Korea Citation Index. The results of this study are as follow. First, since released research of affective aspects in mathematics has not increased in number in the last 11 years, academic interest in the affective aspects seems lower than recent interest arousing in Korea. Second, most studies utilized quantitative research as a tool to analyze phenomena and the cause and effect of affective aspects. Third, middle school students were the most common subjects of the studies, followed by elementary school students. Fourth, the studies had various themes such as analyzing the cause and effect of affective aspect, recognizing changes of affective aspects, and measuring affective aspects. The studies, especially, focused most on analyzing how to improve affective aspects by applying it to programs such as mathematic activities and solving mathematic problems. It is necessary for future research to have a long-term perspective and to provide a space for communication. Research should not only focus on how recognize affective aspects differently, which is based on its cultural background, but also to draw affective solutions from them.

We identified research trends for freshwater exotic species in South Korea using text mining methods in conjunction with bibliometric analysis. We searched scientific and common names of freshwater exotic species as searching keywords including 1 mammal species, 3 amphibian-reptile species, 11 fish species, 2 aquatic plant species. A total of 245 articles including research articles and abstracts of conference proceedings published by 56 academic societies and institutes were collected from scientific article databases. The search keywords used were the common names for the exotic species. The $20^{th}$ century (1900's) saw the number of articles increase; however, during the early $21^{st}$ century (2000's) the number of published articles decreased slowly. The number of articles focusing on physiological and embryological research was significantly greater than taxonomic and ecological studies. Rainbow trout and Nile tilapia were the main research topic, specifically physiological and embryological research associated with the aquaculture of these species. Ecological studies were only conducted on the distribution and effect of large-mouth bass and nutria. The ecological risk associated with freshwater exotic species has been expressed yet the scientific information might be insufficient to remove doubt about ecological issues as expressed by interested by individuals and policy makers due to bias in research topics with respect to freshwater exotic species. The research topics of freshwater exotic species would have to diversify to effectively manage freshwater exotic species.
This study aims to analyze research trends by the period of elementary science education journal. A total of 1047 papers were analyzed from Volume 1 No. 1 in 1983 to Volume 39 No. 4 in 2020. The results of the study are as follows: First, the period of elementary science education journals was divided into infancy, settlement, development, and retainment period according to the number of papers. Second, the ratio of research by more than three scholars, pure or funded research was decreasing. Third, the study subjects had a high rate of research on elementary school students and elementary school teachers. Fourth, research methods were mainly research studies and experimental studies, and qualitative analysis and mixed analysis studies were increasing as data analysis methods. Fifth, the occupation of the first author was professor (45.6%), teacher (39.8%), graduate student (10.6%), and researcher (1.7%) in that order. Sixth, the regions of the corresponding author were concentrated in Seoul and Gyeongin, the metropolitan areas. Finally, in order for the "Elementary Science Education" journal to continue to play a pivotal role in leading elementary science education in the future, efforts to improve the overall journal and continuous participation and cooperation of domestic and foreign researchers, academic executives, members, and educational institutions are required.
