The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the daily stress and social support of elderly people on their psychological wellbeing in an effort to provide some information on the promotion of the psychological wellbeing of the elderly. The major findings of the study were as follows: The psychological wellbeing of the elderly people was under the statistically significant negative influence of their family relations, health problems and sense of loss among the subfactors of daily stress. As for the subfactors of social support, emotional support and support from friends had a significant positive impact on that. The findings of the study suggest that in order to boost the psychological wellbeing of the elderly, they should be helped to cope with various stress that they face in daily routine life, and a variety of programs should be developed to bolster their psychological stability. In addition, the kind of community programs in which they can participate with their friends should be prepared, and how to provide them with better emotional support should carefully be studied.

The research which sees the fact that about model found of the duty factor whom follows in old person welfare facility worker holding office duration and organized performance researches in purpose. The Objective of this study was to establish the role of ICT based Welfare services to support the needs of the elderly living alone. For this, 85 current services for the elderly from 6 central governments was arranged, and also, 114 possible welfare services based on ICT in future were surveyed from the research articles. These services were categorized by Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and rearranged into online, offline and combined services. It was observed that most of the services were focused on Safety needs(medical health) and Self-actualization(leisure culture), and services for Esteem were lack. It would be possible to improve the services for the environmental improvement, employment expansion, independent Activities of daily living with the ICT based elderly welfare services. And also, it was needed to develop the additional services for the psychological and emotional support. It was concluded that ICT based consumer oriented services could improve the quality of life of the elderly living alone with the well balanced strategies.

The purpose of this study is to review selected research articles on Social Welfare in Journal of the Korean Gerontological Society from 2008 to 2017 during 10 years periods, and suggest directions and implications for future research in the field of Gerontological Social Welfare. A total of 273 research articles were selected out of all published 655 articles in Journal of the Korean Gerontological Society in last 10 years. And relevant review articles were selected on the basis of cross checking among authors who majored in social welfare. Selected articles were analyzed for ecological system perspective, research subjects, and research methods. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, ecological system were classified into three categories: 1) macro system(52 articles); 2) mezzo system(120 articles); 3) micro system(101 articles). Second, the research subjects were classified into five categories: 1) social problem of the elderly(151 articles); 2) laws and policies(38 articles); 3) social welfare service for the elderly(28 articles); 4) day service and residential service(39 articles), 5) social participation for the elderly(31 articles). Third, the research methods were classified into 5 categories: 1) qualitative research(213 articles); 2) qualitative research(39 articles); 3) literature review(14 articles); 4) meta research(4 articles); 5) mixed research(3 articles). Finally, there are some important research directions and implications in the field of social welfare for the elderly. First, there should be more balance researches related to the ecological system perspectives in the field of social welfare for the elderly. Second, there should be more systematic researches to analyze critical problems and social issues related to the aging and senior citizens, and developing better interventions and social welfare policies for the elderly. Third, there should be more researches related to evidence based approaches, and utilizing various research methods to examine social problems and major issues for the elderly persons.

The purpose of this study is to measure the social workers' knowledge of aging and attitude toward the elderly in Korea, and to find out the variables that may influence the social workers' attitude. One hundred and eighty three social workers working in a community welfare center were given the questionnaire containing the Kyung San Facts on Aging Quiz to measure the level of knowledge of aging and Yoon(1988)'s scale to find the direction of attitude toward the elderly. The results of this study are analyzed as follows: (1) The social workers' level of knowledge of aging was 65.3%, which was higher than America nurses(62.0%) and Korean nurses(65.0%). (2) The mean of social workers' attitude toward the elderly 65.5 points, which was more positive than nurses in other studies. (3) The social workers' levels of knowledge of aging(p<0.001), personal experience with the elderly(p<0.001), and volunteer experience for the elderly(p<0.05) influence the social workers' attitude toward the elderly. Based on the research results, implications for the future practice are discussed, and suggestions for making social workers' attitude toward the elderly more positive are also included.

우리나라의 대표적인 노인여가활동 프로그램의 중심인 경로당은 노인여가복지시설로 노인복지법 제36조에 의거 만65세 이상인 지역노인이 자율적으로 친목을 도모하고 취미활동과 공동작업장을 운영한다. 또한 각종 정보교환과 기타 여가활동을 할 수 있도록 하는 장소를 제공함을 목적으로 하는 시설이다. 그러나 선행연구들에 의하면 가장 가까이에 있는 시설이지만 여러 가지 이유로 활성화되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 노인여가활동 프로그램과 관련된 연구들의 결과를 토대로 현황을 분석하고, 노인여가활동 프로그램의 가치를 극대화하고 지속가능성을 확보하기 위한 방안에 대하여 제안하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the senile dementia in Korea and then provides policy alternatives for the heal-thy life of the aged. The increaase of life expectancy is the hope for all, accordingly unhealthy life will be misfortune for them including their family. The physiological dysfunction of human body causes diverse problems. Among them, the most serious one is the malfunction of brain to include both Alzheimer's disease and senile dementia. When considering the poor analysis for senile dementia and the non-systematic aspect of national health policy for the aged, this paper has concluded that more planned programs should be developed for the aged in viewpoint of national criteria.

The study aims to measure and analysis the spatial equity of Medical welfare facilities for older persons and services, and, based on this, to seek the plan to secure the fairness. To this end, the research was carried out by converging the studies of geography and regional development for the equity of social welfare studies and space arrangement on types and functions of Medical welfare facilities for older persons. The main results of the study showed that, first, in case of the spatial arrangement(desire-to-service), Medical welfare facilities for older persons are located in all areas of cities(Si) and counties(Gun) but mostly existing in cities. Second, in case of the equity of regional distribution of Medical welfare facilities for older persons, it can say the equity in Gun is higher than Si, comparing the regions of Si and Gun. Third, in case of spatial equity of sanatorium for older persons, the spatial equity of care facilities for older persons showed statistical difference depending on the time required to reach the facility, but no difference on distance. This study made various suggestions based on the results of the above research, and suggested the necessity of convergence studies grafting technologies such as AI and the Internet of Things.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of information education satisfaction of the elderly welfare center on information utilization satisfaction and life satisfaction of the elderly. For this purpose, we surveyed the elderly who were enrolled in the elderly welfare center from September 02 to September 24, 2015. First, in the information cognition improvement of the elderly, it was found that the content of education of information, education instructor, and educational environment are important. And in the improvement of the information experience of the elderly, it was found that the education contents, the education method, the instructor and the educational environment factors of the satisfaction of information education were important factors. Second, in the improvement of personal factors satisfaction of the elderly, it was found that the content of education of information and education and the factors of education instructor were important factors. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between information literacy and satisfaction of the elderly.

The social services for the elderly have been expending in order to respond to the rapid speed of aging. However, low utilization, exclusion and duplication have been pointed out as significant problems in service utilization of the elderly. This study tried to find out the utilization patterns of social services for the elderly: what kinds of and how many social services the elderly receive from what kinds of and how many organizations, and factors influencing utilization of the social services. It surveyed the entire population of the public assistance recipient elderlies at Kyonggi province in 1999. The results show that duplication is not so significant problem as the low utilization of social services. However, the fact that more than forty five percent of the elderly receives social services from more than two organizations requires the efforts for service linkage and coordination in social service delivery system. The factors, which have relatively big influence on the number of organizations which the elderly use for each social service, were sex and age among the predisposing factors, "living alone" and place for residency among the enabling factors and the number of illness, Activities of Daily Living, Instrumental Activities of Daily Living and inconvenience of housing among the needs factors. These results call for expansion of social services for the elderly especially in the way of achieving distribution balance between the rural and urban area and activation of case management practice and local association of social service delivery agencies for service linkage and coordination.
