A Study on the Intention to Use Big Data Based on the Technology Organization Environment and Innovation Diffusion Theory in Shipping and Port Organization (TOE와 혁신확산이론에 따른 해운항만조직의 빅데이터 사용의도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to increase the competitiveness of big data in the maritime port organization, by understanding the expected performance and the intention to accept and use big data. In the empirical analysis of factors affecting the intention to use the big data technology for maritime port organizations, the variables employed are based on the Technology Organization Environment(TOE) and Diffusion of Innovations(DOI) theories, which are related to the acceptance of information and communication technologies. To achieve the objective of this study, an empirical analysis was conducted; this analysis targeted the personnel involved in the department of strategic planning and information technology in the related field. We set up eight hypotheses to examine the relevance between variables having three characteristics-technology, organization, and environmental characteristics. The empirical results are summarized as follows. First, it was seen that the technology characteristic, including relative advantage, complexity, and compatibility, has a significant effect on the expected performance. Second, the top management support of the organization characteristic has a significant effect, but the firm size of this characteristic has no significant effect on the expected performance. Third, the competitive pressure of the environment characteristic has a positive effect on the expected performance, while the regulatory support has no significant effect. Finally, the expected performance has a significant effect on the intention to use big data.

The Influence of Users' Perception of Digital Convergence Media upon Use Intention (디지털 융합미디어에 대한 수용자 인지가 사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of users' perception of convergence media which were appeared with technological development upon the actual intention of use. Study findings show that when the perceived usefulness of convergence media was high, use intention was high as well. In addition, when the perceived ease of use was high, use intention was high as well. Use intention had significance influence upon the extent of actual use. This finding implies the fact that when use intention is higher, convergence media are more frequently used in reality. On the other hand, when innovation resistance is higher, the perceived ease of use, use intention and media intimacy are lower. In the end, due to innovation resistance, the use intention of media becomes lower and the use of convergence media is delayed.

Factors affecting the Continuance Usage Intention of Biometric Technology : Comparing Dark Scenario with Bright Scenario (생체인식기술의 지속사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 : 다크 시나리오와 브라이트 시나리오의 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between expectancy confirmation and continuance usage intention in biometric technology. We extend the continuance usage intention model, TAM and expectation confirmation theory by adding perceived privacy, perceived security and trust. Results was analyzed by using structural equations model. The results show that satisfaction and perceived usefulness have positive effect on continuance usage intention in the bright scenario. Perceived privacy and perceived security are positive factors on perceived usefulness, and perceived privacy is positive effect on perceived security. On the other hand, the respondents who are exposed to the dark scenario have negative effects on the perceived privacy, perceived security and trust. And finally, trust has no significant effect on the perceived usefulness.

A Study on the Intention of Public Library Librarians to Use Artificial Intelligence-Based Technology (인공지능 기반 기술에 대한 공공도서관 사서의 사용의도 연구)

  • This study analyzed the effect of technology preparation and technology acceptance factors on the intention of public library librarians to use artificial intelligence-based technology using the technology acceptance model. To this end, a survey was conducted on public library librarians, and a total of 202 survey data were used for statistical analysis. As a result of the hypothesis test, first, optimism has a significant positive (+) effect on perceived usefulness, and discomfort has a significant negative (-) effect. Optimism and innovation on perceived ease of use were found to have a significant positive (+) effect, and discomfort was found to have a significant negative (-) effect. Second, perceived ease of use was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on perceived usefulness, and both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had a significant positive (+) effect on the intention to use. Third, optimism was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on the intention to use, and anxiety was found to have a significant negative (-) effect. This study is expected to provide basic data on the use of artificial intelligence technology in the future by empirically analyzing public library librarians' perceptions of artificial intelligence-based technology.

  • 인터넷은 학교 교육은 물론 기업의 교육을 변화시키고 있다. 인터넷을 학습에 활용하는 이러닝(electronic learning)은 1990년대 말에 도입되어 7년 이상 경과되었다. 이러닝은 오프라인교육(집체교육)에 비해 시간과 공간의 제약을 받지 않고 비용이 저렴하며 반복학습이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 이러한 특성 때문에 이러닝은 지역간, 계층간 교육 불평등을 해소하면서 사회 구성원의 학습욕구를 충족시킬 수 있다. 이러닝은 평생교육의 일환으로 학교 교육은 물론 기업 교육과 사회 교육을 변화시키면서 점차 확산되고 있다. 지금까지 이러닝에 대해 연구된 논문들은 주로 이러닝을 사용하게 하는 주요 요인에 대해 초점이 맞춰져 있었다. 그러나 아쉽게도 이러닝은 초기에 기대했던 만큼 크게 확산되지는 않은 실정이다. 따라서 확산되지 않은 요인을 확인하고 이러닝 보급을 확산시킬 방안을 찾는 것이 매우 중요하게 부각되고 있다. 따라서 향후에는 이러닝에 대한 연구의 초점이 이러닝을 왜 채택하지 않고 있는가에 맞춰져야 한다. 이와 같은 연구의 필요성에 따라 본 연구에서는 이러닝을 왜 사용하지 않는가라는 기존의 입장과는 정반대의 관점에서 이러닝을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서 규명하고자 하는 주요 가설은 다음과 같다. 가설1: 이러닝 단점은 채택의도에 부의 영향을 미친다. 가설2-1: 이러닝장점은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설2-2: 이러닝장점은 용이성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설2-3: 이러닝장점은 유용성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설3-1: 재미는 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설3-2: 재미는 유용성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설3-3: 재미는 용이성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설4: 유용성은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설5: 용이성은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설6: 용이성은 유용성에 정의 영향을 미친다. 본 연구의 대상은 자발적으로 이러닝을 채택할 수 있는 대학생을 대상으로 하였고, 설문 데이터 분석을 통한 실증연구를 수행하였다. 분석방법으로는 PLS 분석도구를 사용하였다. 분석결과 가설6을 제외하고는 모두 유용한 것으로 입증되었다.

An Empirical Study on the Effect of Technology Acceptance of Overseas Direct Purchase on Behavioral Intention and Perceived Availability (해외직구의 기술수용이 사용의도 및 지각된 유용성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구)

  • This study aimed to analyze the degree of consumers' expectations for their performance and efforts in using overseas direct purchase, impact of overseas direct purchase on the society, and effect of price value to their intention to use overseas direct purchase in the future. In addition, the significance of overseas direct purchase on the user-perceived availability is empirically analyzed. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and price value showed significantly positive effect on the intention to use overseas direct purchase in the future. With respect to the perceived availability in using overseas direct purchase, it was found out that effort expectancy and price value had significantly positive effect; however, it appeared that performance expectancy and social influence had no significant effect on the perceived availability of the users.

Factors Affecting Adoption Intention of Autonomous Vehicle (자율주행 자동차 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study is an empirical analysis regarding what kind of factors affect the intention to use autonomous vehicles. For the empirical analysis the research model was derived from value-based adoption model base and integrated some aspects that only autonomous vehicles have. At default variables of VAM are usefulness, enjoyment, technicality, perceived cost, some autonomous vehicle related variables were added, and those are convenience, safety, security, social influence. A survey was done in order to empirically analyze with this research model, and 216 valid survey answers were chosen to analyze. Empirical analysis was done by structural equation using AMOS24. The result of empirical analysis were as follows. Variables usefulness, enjoyment, safety, security had a significant positive effect on perceived value. Technicality and perceived cost had a significant negative effect of perceived value. In addition, security and social influence had no significant effect on perceived value. Furthermore, perceived value had significant positive effect on intention to use. Among the variables that came out to be significantly positive, the most influencing variable was safety, followed by convenience, perceived cost, enjoyment, usefulness and then technicality. In addition, the analysis of mediating effect of perceived value shows that usefulness, enjoyment, convenience, safety, technicality, perceived cost had mediating role towards intention to use. However, security and social influence had no siginificant mediating effect towards intention to use. Considering all these research results this study has provided theoretical and practical implications to researchers on the intention to use autonomous vehicles.

Research on the Personal Characteristics on Airline Self-Service Technology: Using Extended Technology Acceptance Model (확장된 기술수용모델을 활용한 항공사 셀프서비스기술 연구)

  • This study intended to examine how customers of self-service technology of airlines perceive and adopt the technology, and how such perceptions affect their willingness to use it. The findings of analysis are as follows. First of all, self-efficacy, a personal characteristics variable, has significant effects on both perceived usefulness and ease of use (H1). Second, though personal innovation which accepts new information technology more positively and challenge to use it before others has significant effect on perceived usefulness (H 2-1), it does not have significant effect on ease of use (H 2-2). Third, perceived ease of use has effect on perceived usefulness. Forth, both perceived usefulness and ease of use have positive effects on willingness to use.

The Impact of Continued Behavior on Real Usage: Focusing on Mobile Web (지속 사용 행동이 실 사용량에 끼치는 영향: 모바일 웹을 중심으로)

  • Since the current mobile web market is already in its maturity, a research concerning the continued behavior of mobile Internet users should be carried out. The purpose of this research is to understand user's continued behaviors by theoretically constructing and empirically testing a continued model using real usage data. The model consists of four post-expectation factors (usefulness, ease of use, enjoyment, and perceived value) as well as user satisfaction, continuance intention, and the actual usage amount. To test the model, an on-line survey had been conducted, and we collected the actual usage data of survey respondents via the support of telecommunication companies. The study results indicate that post expectation variables were found to influence satisfaction, continuance intention, and actual usage amount of mobile web users. This paper ends with study limitations and implications on mobile web industry.

An Analysis on Affecting Factors of Healthcare Applications Continuous Usage Intention and their Relationships (헬스케어 어플리케이션 지속적 사용의도 영향 요인 및 요인 간 관계에 대한 분석)

  • Many studies have been conducted on adoption of healthcare applications. However, few studies have paid their attention to continuous usage intention of healthcare applications even though success of healthcare applications is determined by Continuous usage intention rather than adoption. Therefore, this study tried to identify the factors affecting the continuous usage intention of healthcare applications and examined the relationship between them empirically. In addition, the role of gender and age in the relationship was investigated. The results showed that self-efficacy and innovation had a significant effect on perceived ease of use of healthcare application, while self-efficacy, health information seeking, and enjoyment had a significant effect on perceived usefulness. Perceived ease of use and usefulness showed positive impact on continuous usage intention of healthcare application. Finally, age and gender had a moderator effect the relationship between perceived usefulness and continuous usage intention. This study is expected to make contributions to the existing research by identifying the factors affecting the Continuous usage intention of healthcare applications, but also to give a guideline for managers who want to provide healthcare application services.
