Determinants of Satisfaction, Revisit Intention, and Recommendation Intention Using Decision Tree Analysis - Foreign Tourists Visiting Korea during the COVID-19 Pandemic - (의사결정나무분석을 활용한 방문 만족도, 재방문 의사, 타인 권유 의사 결정요인 분석 - 코로나19 상황에서의 한국 방문 외래관광객을 대상으로 -)

  • The study aims to examine the determinants that affect satisfaction, revisit intention, and recommendation intention with foreign tourists who visited Korea despite the threat of COVID-19. This study employs the survey data collected by the Korea Tourism Organization from 8,135 foreign tourists who visited Korea in 2020. As the survey data contains a mixture of continuous and categorical variables, decision tree analysis can ensure analytical validity for the research. According to the analytical results, the determinants affecting satisfaction are the purpose of the visit and acceptance of self-quarantine during their stay. The factors influencing revisit intention are the purpose of the visit, frequency of the visit, and acceptance of self-quarantine during their stay. The determinants affecting recommendation intention are the purpose of the visit, length of stay, and gender. Based on the results of this analysis, this study not only explains the relationship between these determinants and tourism satisfaction, revisit intention, and recommendation intention, but also suggests implications for revitalizing tourism activities.

An Analysis on the Purchase Satisfaction, Repurchase Intention and Recommendation according Toothpaste Choice Standard (치약선택기준에 따른 구매만족, 재구매 의도 및 권유 의사 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the buying behavior characteristics of the customers. Also, it was intended to provide information to provide companies marketing strategy. The criteria of purchasing toothpaste was to try to understand the impact on satisfaction, recommendation and repurchase Intention. The study was surveyed 248 customers who re-buy the toothpaste in oral care products showroom at university dental hospital. Statistical analysis was performed using PASW Statistics 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 at the 5% significance level. The results were as follows: 'Flavor', 'Price', 'Brand', 'Function', 'Design' of toothpaste and satisfaction showed a positive correlation. Satisfaction and repurchase intention, Recommendation showed a positive correlation. Selection criteria that affect the satisfaction when customers buy toothpaste, 'Function' was the greatest and others became the order of the 'Brand', 'Flavor', 'Price'. Satisfaction affect the recommendation and repurchase Intention. If customers are satisfied with the toothpaste products, showed the Repurchase Intention, have shown opinion that is willing to recommend this product to others. Therefore, dentistry and manufacturers of toothpaste must share a lot of information about toothpaste with customers. Also, information, function, flavor of toothpaste as well as other oral care product, It will be a needed the continuing research and development.

Awareness and Satisfaction of Health Insurance Coverage of Dental Scaling (건강보험의 치석제거 급여 범위 확대에 대한 인식 및 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors associated with medical care utilization, the level of recognition, satisfaction, revisit and recommendation after implementing the expanded health insurance coverage of dental scaling. A questionnaire survey was conducted and analyzed among 608 adults living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do April 1st to 30th, 2014. The results of the survey are as follows: 76.9% of the respondents know the expanded health insurance coverage, which is influenced by educational background and monthly income. The level of satisfaction, revisit and recommendation intention is affected meaningfully by educational background. Two factors, high school graduate or less and dental hygienist, meaningfully affect patients' satisfaction with scaling, and recommendation from others and Internet searching contribute to revisit. High school graduate or less is also one of the factors affecting the intention of recommendation, along with recommendation from others, Internet searching, scaling by a dental hygienist, and oral hygiene education before scaling. Summing up the results, patient's satisfaction and intention to recommend are high when dental hygienists provide oral hygiene instruction prior to scaling. This study suggests that dental hygienists help patients feel comfortable before treatment by building rapport with them. In addition, it is required that consistent efforts for quality improvement in scaling be sustained, that the patient's needs be identified to increase their satisfaction with scaling, and that studies to verify relevant factors be conducted.

Therapeutic Compliance for Calcium Supplements and Its Related Factors in Rural Osteoporotic Women (일부 농촌지역 여성 골다공증 환자의 칼슘보조제 치료순응도와 결정요인)

  • This study was conducted to examine the therapeutic compliance and its related factors in rural women with osteoporosis. A questionnaire survey was performed from April to May in 2000 for 140 osteoporotic patients who were diagnosed from April to June in 1999 through community health program. The study employed the health belief model for predicting and explaining sick role behavior. The analysis techniques employed included contingency table analysis and path analysis using LISREL. The major results of this study were as follows: Of the subjects, 12.1% were continuously complaint, 53.6% were intermittently compliant, and 34.3% were non- compliant to calcium supplement therapy. As the result of path analysis, the therapeutic compliance was significantly higher(${\mid}T{\mid}$ >2.0) as patients had higher perceived severity of disease, lower perceived barriers of treatment, and when patients thought their disease status as severe. As the patients had higher educational level, more experience of mass media contact or health education about osteoporosis, and when family had more concern for patient treatment, they had higher perceived susceptibility of complication(bone fracture)${\mid}T{\mid}$ >2.0). The patients had higher perceived severity(${\mid}T{\mid}$ >2.0) as they had more educational level, more advice for treatment from their doctors, and when family had more concern for their treatment. As the patients had more advice for treatment from their doctors and when family had more concern for their treatment, they had higher perceived benefit of treatment and lower perceived barriers to treatment(${\mid}T{\mid}$ >2.0). In order to improve the therapeutic compliance in rural osteoporotic women, it would be necessary that the patient should recognize their disease severity properly. And the perceived barriers should be removed through supportive environments for osteoporosis treatment such as doctor 's more advice and family 's more concern for treatment. In addition, effective and continuous management system for osteoporotic patients should be established.

Effects of Hotel Using Experience on Customers' Purchase and Behavior Intention (호텔이용 경험이 구매의사와 고객행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of the hotel using experience on customers' purchase and behavior intention. For this study, a total of 306 questionnaires among collected data for customers who hotel using experience at five star hotels located in Seoul from April 1, 2015 to April 30, 2015 was to ensure a valid sample. As a result of the experiments which conducted by factor analysis and regression analysis, it shows 1% level positive significant effects in purchase and continual purchase intention of "emotional experiencer", "physical experience factor", "continuous experience factor", and "superior experience factor", but it is 10% level significant effects in continual purchase intention positively effected continual purchase intention of "physical experience factor". Also, it shows 1% level positive significant effects on hotel customers' intention of reused, intention of suggestion, intention of recommendation of "emotional experiencer", "physical experience factor", "continuous experience factor", and "superior experience factor". From the study, it is expected to build hotel-customer relationship and brand level of awareness for activating customers' loyalty.

The Influence of Dental Hygienist Images and Career Advice among High School Teachers (인문계 고등학교 교사가 지각한 치과위생사 이미지와 치위생직 진로 권유 의사에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of dental hygienist images and career advice among high school teachers. A self-reported questionnaire was administered to 212 high school teachers in Gwangju, South Korea. The questionnaire contained subject's general characteristics, images of dental hygienists, and career advice. We performed an independent t-test, the Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis, and logistic regression analysis using the IBM SPSS ver. 21.0 software. Using a five-point scale, the average of all the dental hygienist images was 3.50, with personal images receiving the most positive rating at 3.83 and social images receiving the least positive rating at 2.86. The images of dental hygienists were significantly more positive in instances where the subjects recognized the dental hygienist or received treatment within one year. There were positive correlations among different kinds of images. Through multiple regression analysis, occupational images were associated with business and social images. Business images were associated with occupational and personal images. Personal images were associated with business images, especially in cases where the subjects recognized the dental hygienist. Social images were associated with occupational images, especially in cases where subjects received treatment within one year. Through logistic regression analysis, career advice was associated with social and occupational images. Therefore, our study provides suggestions on how to enhance positive recognition of social images of dental hygienists.

The Effect of Dental Hygienist Prosthetic Medical Service on Dental Satisfaction and Dental Loyalty (치과위생사의 보철 의료서비스가 치과 만족 및 애호도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to clarify the role and importance of dental hygienists in improving patient satisfaction in dental medical institutions, and to improve the social position, working conditions, and environment of dental hygienists. This study evaluated the impact of dental hygienists on dental satisfaction, revisits, and doctor recommendations for patients who had received prosthodontic treatment at dentistry in the last 10 years. This study analyzed the data from 166 survey questionnaires from June 1, to July 2, 2020. For data analysis, the SPSS Ver 23.0 program was used to calculate frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation of the variables, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. As a result, the average quality of medical services provided by dental hygienists among prosthetics was 4.05, the average dental satisfaction was 4.27, the average revisit was 3.97, and the average recommendation was 4.01. As a result of Pearson's correlation analysis, there was a significant positive correlation between each variable (P<0.01). As a result of multiple regression analysis, the level of knowledge appeared as a factor affecting dental satisfaction (P<0.05). The factors influencing both the revisits and the intention to recommend were the level of knowledge and the level of education (P<0.05).

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the factor of determination on satisfaction level of the Goksung Simchung Festival. Goksung Simchung Festival has been held since 2000, and Goksung Simchung Festival 2004, which is the fifth, is holding soon. Simchung Festival has unique aspect that it is organised various experience programs and items which stress the importance of "environment" in Seomjin river and Simchung's "Hyo (filial piety)". A study is analysed through research that is consisted of satisfaction factors' items of 17 local festival visitor to study factors of determination of local festival visitor's satisfaction level. This research data is analysed statistical techniques, which are multivariate regression analysis, factor analysis, and reliability analysis, and extracted 4 factors, which are souvenir and food, content of the festival, convenient facilities, and publicity work. In conclusion, the festival is likely to attract more tourists and make them satisfied if better content of the festival is provided. Therefore, most of the tourists need to becoming cleared lo be satisfied due to its values of culture recognition through various contents of the festival. fun factors, and experience programs, So the manager and the director should have continual attention to satisfaction factors of local festival.

Satisfaction of the aged with their dental treatments and consideration of the necessity for dental hygienic education about the aged (노인환자의 치과진료만족도 및 노인에 대한 치위생교육의 필요성에 대한 고찰)

  • Objectives : 노인 환자들이 제공받고 있는 치과 의료서비스 만족도를 평가하여 노인 환자에게 양질의 구강보건진료 서비스를 제공하고 노인의 구강보건향상에 기여하기 위하여 실시하였다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 노인관련 일반적 특성을 알아보고, 치과 병 의원을 이용하는 노인 환자의 만족도에 미치는 요인 및 병 의원 선택이유를 조사하였다. Methods : 서울특별시와 경기도, 경상도, 전라도 일부지역의 치과병원 및 치과의원을 이용하는 노인 환자 300명을 편의추출 하였으며, 2009년 4월 1일부터 5월 8일까지 면접 및 자기기입법으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문지는 4개영역으로 구분하여 치과 의료서비스 만족도 22문항, 치과위생사의 의료서비스 만족도 14문항, 재이용 권유의사 4문항 및 일반적 특성과 치과이용에 관한 8문항으로 구성하였다. 노인환자의 일반적인 특성에 따른 치과 의료서비스 만족도, 연구대상자의 병원인지경로, 치과선택이유에 따른 치과의료서비스 만족도는 일원배치분산분석(One-way ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 치과의료서비스 만족도 영향인자, 만족도에 미치는 치과위생사 요인 등은 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구대상자의 성별과 병원내원기간에 따른 치과선택이유는 카이제곱 (${\chi}^2$) 분포를 따르는 정확검정(exact test)을 실시하였다. Results : 1. 노인환자들이 병원을 선택할 때 가족, 친척으로부터 추천을 받는 경우가 가장 많으며 이 경우 다른 인지경로에 비하여 치과에 대한 만족도가 가장 높았다. 2. 치과선택 이유에 따른 만족도를 비교하였을 때 첫째, 의사의 높은 진료수준, 둘째, 친절한 서비스에 만족도가 높았다. 또한 치과선택이유가 의사의 높은 진료수준과 친절함을 포함한 의사요인이 가장 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 3. 치과위생사의 높은 진료수준과 친절도는 치과의료서비스 만족도에 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 노인환자들의 만족도를 높이기 위해 노인에 대한 치위생교육이 필요하고 노인에 대한 지식뿐만 아니라 태도에 대한 교육도 실시되어야 한다. 4. 동일한 치과를 계속적으로 다니는 이유는 첫 번째 의사의 높은 진료수준, 두 번째 친절도로 의사요인과 관련이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 3-4년 이상의 장기내원환자는 의사의 높은 진료수준 다음으로 친절도를 중요한 이유로 선택하였다. Conclusions : 이상의 결과로 노인 환자가 만족하는 치과는 치과의사와 치과위생사의 진료수준이 높아야 하겠고, 다음으로 친절한 서비스가 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 노인환자들의 만족도를 높이기 위해 노인에 대한 치위생교육이 필요하고 노인에 대한 지식뿐만 아니라 태도에 대한 교육도 실시되어야 한다.

Impacts of Factors of Tourists' Decision to Visit Korea and Their Nationality on Tourism Decision Mechanism Using MANOVA (외국인 방문 결정 선택요인과 국적이 한국 관광 결정 메커니즘에 미치는 영향 분석 - MANOVA 활용을 중심으로 -)

  • This study examines differences in satisfaction, intention to revisit, and word-of-mouth recommendations among foreign tourists, based on their nationality and factors influencing their decision to visit Korea. The study utilizes the data collected from foreign tourists who visited Korea in 2021, including information on their country of origin, factors influencing their decision to visit, satisfaction levels, intention to revisit, and willingness to recommend Korea to others. While the survey data comprises a large sample of over 8,000 respondents, only 1,398 without missing values are used for analysis. According to the analysis results, there were significant differences in satisfaction, intention to revisit, and word-of-mouth recommendations among foreign tourists based on their nationality and factors influencing their decision to visit. Notably, leisure and sports activities and distance from their home country are significant factors in making a decision to visit Korea. Countries with relatively lower tourism decision mechanisms are Japan, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Canada, Mongolia, and India. Based on these analysis results, this study presents strategic improvement measures to revitalize Korean tourism industry, particularly after the pandemic.
