Development of Convergence Educational Program Using AI Platform: Focusing on Environmental Education for Grades 5-6 (인공지능 플랫폼을 활용한 융합수업안 개발 : 5-6학년 환경교육을 중심으로)

  • With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, the need for artificial intelligence education has increased. The online learning environment caused by COVID-19 made it possible to use variety of artificial intelligence platforms. In this study, an aritificial intelligence class plan was developed and proposed to achieve the goal of artificial intelligence education using an AI platform. The AI platform used is AI for Oceans, With the theme of creating a program for the environment, designed a 6-hour project class using Novel Engineering-based on STEAM model. Students experience AI for Oceans enough time and learn supervised learning by experience. Based on understanding of supervised learning, students design their own programs for the environment using Entry's AI blocks. In this study, for AI convergence education, this lesson was developed and presented with the goal of acquiring the creative problem solving ability and integrated thinking ability by using the principles of artificial intelligence to solve problems.

  • According to social change, entrepreneurship education at university is drawing attention as a means to cultivate convergent creative competency required by the times. Currently, the number of entrepreneurship education at university is increasing every year, and quantitative expansion is taking place, but quality advancement of education remains a task. In this context, this study conducted an action research with the aim of revitalizing entrepreneurship education and upgrading quality, and developing a entrepreneurship education program suitable for general elective courses operated by universities. In the process of the study, first, through literature analysis related to entrepreneurship education at university, educational contents and teaching methods of entrepreneurship education were confirmed. Based on this, the IPA analysis was used to analyze the educational needs of students for entrepreneurship education contents and design a program that reflects this. The designed program was applied and operated to the entrepreneurship education of A University, and improvements were derived and improved by analyzing the opinions of learners in the action research process. The entrepreneurship education program developed through this study was composed as follows. The necessity of entrepreneurship education at the beginning of the lecture is sufficiently presented, and the knowledge necessary for start-up, including idea discovery and business model design, is delivered through theoretical lectures by teacher-centered method. In the second half of the lecture, students with similar interests are gathered into teams and learner-centered practical activities are operated. The contents of the activities include information on idea discovery, business model design, business plan and pitching. Practical activities for each team are conducted during class hours, and the professor advice on difficulties for each team.

  • In this study, we aim to search the utilization plan of primary 3-4 mathematics textbooks for 'Flipped Classroom' practice. In the flipped classroom, students are required to manipulate more rigorous concepts, deal with realistic problems and various activities, and discussions. Researcher analyzed the new mathematics textbooks of primary 3-4 grade that is applied 2014. The criteria of analysis was made of the instructional model for 'Flipped Classroom' that was set up by previous researcher. To practice the flipped classroom, teachers need to design their classes carefully for using selectively many materials of the textbooks to make students participate discussion in the classroom actively and to consider their interests and levels.

Designing an App Inventor Curriculum for Computational Thinking based Non-majors Software Education (컴퓨팅 사고 기반의 비전공자 소프트웨어 교육을 위한 앱 인벤터 교육과정 설계)

  • As the fourth industrial revolution becomes more popular and advanced services such as artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technology are widely commercialized, awareness of the importance of software is spreading. Recently, software education has been taught not only in elementary school and college but also in college. Also, there is a growing interest in computational thinking needed to solve problems through computing methodology and model. The purpose of this study is to design an app inventor course for non-majors software education based on computational thinking. As a result of the study, six detailed competencies of computational thinking were derived, and six detailed competencies were mapped to the app inventor learning elements. In addition, based on the computational thinking modeling, I designed an app inventor class for students who participated in IT curriculum of university liberal arts curriculum.

  • This paper introduces the method for a design and implementation of an integrated virtual education system WebClass which is based on the World Wide Web and maximizes the interaction among users. Existing virtual education systems did not provide a flexible integration of their functions as they included various interaction functions without user interaction models. We designed an user interaction model for supporting various instructional model and implemented user interfaces of WebClass based on the interaction model. Thus we developed an intergrated virtual education system that is based on user interaction model instead of amalgam of various interaction functions. WebClass support both synchronous and asynchronous sharing functions for user interactions. Our goal was to support and efficient virtual education by maximizing user interaction.

  • The need to support the ICT-using teaching and learning at elementary and secondary schools has led to various digital content service systems. The systems are designed to target the teachers and the students as the major users. The problems involved in them is that they do not provide such services as the integrated search and the systematic use of interface in terms of actual users' use of teaching and learning digital content. It's because they have been created at demands at each time. In an attempt to solve this problem, this study set out to suggest the integrated meta-data items of a teaching and learning digital content, which reflects the Dublin Core Education, the international meta-data standard. It also aimed to design an entity-relationship model to realize the digital content. The results of the integrated meta-data and the entity-relationship model will be utilized as a basic research to help the users to search for various teaching and learning digital contents on an integrated basis and to realize a consistent user interface. Furthermore, they are expected to contribute to the development a service system the teachers and the students can make better use of.

  • 본 논문은 광학 현미경으로 관찰된 데이터들을 분산 시스템이나 병렬 시스템에 구현한 소프트웨어 시스템의 설계에 대한 것으로, 이 시스템이 처리하는 데이터들이 대용량이라는 특성과 함께 다중 해상도의 특성을 갖는다. 본 시스템은 고객/서버 모델을 기반으로 하였으며, 대용량 데이터 처리시 성능에 중요한 디스크 입출력의 대역폭을 높이기 위해 힐버트 곡선 기반의 분산 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 서버부는 조정자 노드와 서비스 노드로 구성되며, 시스템의 제 구성 요소들간에는 정해진 통신 규약에 따라 메시지를 주고 받고, 상호 독립적이다. 이 시스템은 의학 교육, 원격 병리, 가상 학술 회의 등에 응용될 때 활용 가치가 높을 것으로 기대된다.

Development of Software Course Model and Verification of its Effects to Foster Creative Competency of University Students (대학생의 창의역량 함양을 위한 SW교과목 운영 효과 검증)

  • This study aims to examine whether software education has effects on improving creative competency. To this end, the study designed software education lessons to strengthen creative competency for 15 weeks and developed assessment tools. Based on the designed lessons, the 15-week lessons were provided for university students, including a pre-test in the first week and a post-test in the 15th week. The result showed that there was a significant difference in the effects of the lessons, with the mean value of creative competency 0.31 point higher and p-value of 0.002 in the post-test than in the pre-test. The sub-factors of creative competency, including flexibility, originality, openness, and creative implementing skills showed significant differences with p-value all lower than 0.05.

  • In this paper, we generalized number partion problems in elementary situations to number partition models that provide some mathematical problem situations for experiencing mathematising of secondary pre-service teachers. We designed substantial teaching units entitled 'the inquiry intof number partition models' through 4 steps: (1) key problems, (2) integration from the view of partition, (3) defining partition (4) a real practice of inquiry into models. This teaching unit can contribute to secondary pre-service teacher education as follows: first, This teaching unit have pre-service teachers experience mathemtising. second, This teaching unit have pre-service teachers see the connection between school mathematics and academic mathematics. third, This teaching unit have pre-service teachers foster their mathematical creativity.

  • 국가 백년지계를 좌우하는 교육 분야 중에서도 특히 입시관련 분야는 우리나라의 독특한 풍토와 교육적 환경에 의하여 세계의 어느 지역보다도 국민적 관심은 지대하다. 그러나 제도교육권의 열악한 환경은 이러한 점을 뒷받침하지 못하고 있기에 점차 비생산적이고 비능률적인 교육 산업구조를 고착화하는 수준에까지 이를 것으로 판단된다. 또한 해마다 70만명 가량의 수험생들이 자신들의 성적 관리를 위하여 연간 4-5회 가량의 모의고사를 보고 있으며, 기존의 OMR 처리 과정을 통해 각각의 성적 분석 결과를 확인하는데 까지 적지 않은 시간을 보내야만 하는 불편함을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 Off-Line을 통해 실시되는 모의고사를 인터넷이라는 가상공간에서도 병행하여 보다 빠르게 개인들의 성적 분석 결과를 제공하고 효과적인 성적 관리가 가능한 시스템 모델을 제안한다 제안된 시스템 모델은 시험보기 부분과 결과 확인 및 분석 부분을 둔다. 시험보기 부분에서는 출제된 시험 문제의 정답을 확인하고 결과 확인 부분에서는 처리된 정답 결과를 토대로 성적 관리를 할 수 있도록 다양한 형태의 데이터 포맷으로 분석 표현 할 수 있는 방법을 기술하였다.
