For this study, the researchers collected 15 textbook published in Korea from 2009 to 2011. According to the results, the researchers to present the authors' number, authors' position, the system of chapter topics on the textbook. Based on these finding, the proposition of the textbook writing were present as follows: First, to change the criterion of national documents. • Nearly every country in the world now has the education of its own history in school curriculum. Although there is a difference in the nationality of each country, each has a common perception that history education is important. This is because everyone agrees that the nation's national identity is the core of its identity, and that it forms the backbone of national unity. In Korea, history textbooks were temporarily organized in selective courses and until recently were chosen as subjects of choice in the CSAT. However, despite the repeated neglect of national history education, the national sentiment should not always be neglected, and the formation of the national consensus will eventually prove to be a necessity for the Korean National University's CSAT. Despite the need for the education of Korean history, education has always been mentioned in conjunction with the word "crisis" and "stalemate". This article looks at the key issues in the history of the curriculum and the contents of history textbooks.

  • The purpose of this research study was to examine how multi-cultural education contents are reflected in the contents related to the 'Human Development and Family' area of middle school Technology-Home Economics textbooks, based on the multi-cultural education criteria developed by Paek(2014). The sample of the study consisted of the 'Human Development and Family' contents in 'Technology-Home Economics 1·2' textbooks from five publishers (10 volumes) written in accordance with the 2015 revised curriculum. The research results of the study can be summarized as follows: First, all the four multi-cultural education criterion components were shown in the textbooks from five publishers. Cooperation was shown in the highest frequency, followed by Identity, Diversity, and Equality. Second, the analyses of text, image, and learning activities in the textbooks confirmed that Home Economics as a subject contains multi-cultural education contents that allow students to establish self and identity, respect others, accept diverse family patterns, understand family changes from multiple viewpoints, and form family community culture from gender equality perspective without prejudice. Ultimately, it can be concluded that Home Economics is a subject that enables learners to learn how individuals and families can cooperate and care for each other in order to harmoniously coexist.

  • In a rapidly changing IT and business management environment the demand for competent IS personnels is increasing. However, it is ironic that the number of IT and IS majors has sharply decreased as well as the widespread skepticism of IS identity. This research suggests directions to differentiate MIS to other IT majors, diversify IS core competency and make general improvements in MIS curriculum. The research recommend the courses of IS Strategy and policy, ITA/EA, Global IT Management, Emerging Technologies, DW/DM, BI, IT Service Science, Project Management, IT Consulting and integrated capstone which are few in Kore universities. This research also stress the course of soft skills like business communication, team building, analytic/logical thinking, rational problem solving and so on as a important IS competency. The pedagogy of course is important, so the research recommend the internship, mentoring programme, lecturers in industry according to industrial - educational cooperation.

  • Although Incheon metropolitan city is the third largest city in Korea, it is called 'the gateway to Seoul', 'the second city of port', and 'the satellite city'. The people in Incheon as well as other regions unconsciously recognize this city as 'border' and 'periphery' of Seoul through those expressions. These perceptions also develop a negative sense of place about Incheon. This study starts with analysis about marginal landscape images of Incheon in texts such as movies, stories, and geography textbooks. The represented text as movie has a gap between real space and it. Nevertheless, Its strong point is a making problems clear about recognition of reality. I will inquire the origin of senses of place about Incheon through analysis of represented texts. Moreover, I will present the notion of 'flight' that stands on the basis of Deleuze's Nomadism. Here, 'flight' means that the active subject continuously challenges and reforms the nature of periphery and dependency, the capital, and the economic subordination, and it will have to be new identity and direction of Incheon.

  • As the limitations of professional development programs and individual attempts to improve teaching expertise have been reported, mathematics teachers have operated various types of teacher learning communities as alternative teacher professional programs. A teacher learning community can be considered a Community of Practice(CoP) in that it satisfies three factors of Cop, which are common purpose, mutual participation, and shared repertoire, so the 'learning' of a teacher community can be interpreted based on the theory of CoP. The purpose of this study is to investigate the process of identity development of five mathematics teachers who have been continuously involved in teacher communities. For this, the researcher collected data on the entire process of community activities through participant observation and conducted individual follow-up interviews to explore mathematics teachers' narratives and personal experiences. Results indicated that mathematics teachers experienced the development of practical knowledge related to mathematics teaching and learning, improvement of teaching practice through continuous reflection and introspection, and recognization the shared value of togethering through community immersion. Based on these experiences, implications for the effective operation of learning communities such as national support of teacher learning communities and horizontal and cooperative teacher norms were discussed, and follow-up research was proposed.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a STEAM education model on the basis of mathematics curriculum using real life context, and to analyze the effect of the class based on developed model to make applicable pedagogical discussion. For this purpose, STEAM class materials that can be used in terms of recognition, connection, extension, and application of mathematical concepts, principles and laws are considered, taking into consideration the ways in which real life contexts and mathematical learning could be harmonized. As a results of using these materials, it was empirically confirmed that students' cognitive thinking and affective aspects abilities were improved. The STEAM instruction centered on the mathematics curriculum and the mathematics class based on the data developed in this study have a unique identity compared to the conventional general mathematics teaching methods using the textbooks. And it is pursuing the future class model which could present desirable creativity and personality education. The result of this study would provide preliminary data and meaningful implications to the researchers for next curriculum and concomitant instructional materials as well as the mathematics teachers.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze life respect-related content in the 7th to 10th grade textbooks of middle and high schools. Methods: Sixty two textbooks adopted as middle and high school textbooks were analyzed for content on life respect. Results: There were 6 categories related to life respect content in the 7th to 9th grade textbooks ("prevention of accidents and the first-aid", "mental health", "sex and health", "prevention of drug abuse, smoking and drinking", "normal life and health", and "society and health"). Content on life respect in the 10th grade textbooks was categorized as "drug abuse, smoking, drinking, and health", "sex and health", "mental health", "life science and treating human life too lightly", "normal life and health", and "society and health". Conclusion: Content on life respect attached importance to more practical issue such as prevention of violence and suicide rather than fundamental understanding about self and life. These results suggest that the content on life respect should help adolescents find their own values and meaning of life within the concept of coexistence.

  • As the emphasis on software education in the 2015 revised curriculum, Informatics has become one of the essential subjects for the middle school students, and contents and achievement standards have been developed focusing on the information culture literacy, computational thinking, and collaborative problem solving ability. The 2015 revised Informatics curriculum for the first grade of middle school has been applied for the first time in 2018. Various educational policies have been promoted such as training of teachers, development of teaching and learning materials and programs to support implementation of the actual school fields. In this study, we analyzed the improvement issues and tasks of the 2015 revised curriculum according to the change of the Informatics education policy of in the global, and suggested the development direction of the future Informatics curriculum in Korea. The direction of the development of the Informatics curriculum is focused on ensuring the linkage between school level and identity of informatics education.
