Creativity is a fine ability among major values of human resource in knowledge-based society. The purpose of this study is to identify the components of the informatics creativity based on domain-specificity and confluence theory. To explore these components, a three-round, classical Delphi process was administered with an expert panel of 31 individuals. All members of the expert panel initially responded to open-ended questions, and the qualitative results were analyzed. The subsequent two rounds of the Delphi required quantitative responses in which the expert panel was asked to indicate the level of importance using a five point Likert scale associated with specific items. As a result of the Delphi survey, total of 32 items were selected as three core areas such as congnitive, affective and environmental components of informatics creativity.

Future society demands a personal who is equipped with personality as well as creativity. In this study is developed an creativity personality-integrated programing education model combining CPS(Creative Problem Solving) method for creativity and narrative approach for personality. The developed model was applied to the 5th, 6th grade students in elementary school. As a result, there were effects of improvement in cultivating both personality as well as creativity. The result may offer implications in developing a creativity personality-integrated education model and curriculums in computer science education.
Creativity refers to the ability to generate novel and useful ideas. Understanding the mechanism of creativity and its enhancement is important in order to solve major problems of the modern society and to improve the wellness of mankind. Creativity is a highly heterogeneous and complex ability which should not be conceptualized as a single entity. Thus, the current literature on creativity is based on a component process approach to creativity. The present study introduces cognitive neuroscience research studying the mechanism of divergent thinking, insight, relational thinking and artistic creativity which are the major components of creativity. Based on an expansive review, the early hypothesis of hemispheric asymmetry emphasizing the importance of the right as opposed to the left hemisphere is not supported by scientific evidence. In addition, there is no consensus or consistency on which specific brain region is related to a certain component of creativity. In fact, there is a mixture of studies reporting involvement of various brain regions across all four lobes of the brain. This inconsistency in the literature most likely reflects heterogeneity of the component processes of creativity and sensitivity of the neural response to differences across tasks and cognitive strategy. The present study introduces examples of representative studies reporting seminal findings on the neural basis and the enhancement of creativity based on innovative methodology. In addition, we discuss limitations of the current cognitive neuroscience approach to creativity and present directions for future research.

The purpose of this study is to examine creativity styles of elementary science gifted students through the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT). For this study, the TTCT-Figural Form A was used, with data form 206 elementary science gifted students, which included 56 urban students, 115 suburban students, and 35 rural students. Confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to examine a two-factor model of creativity styles based on Kim's (2006). Level of creativity was analyzed on the basis of the creativity styles and the numbers of creativity styles were analyzed according to region, grade, and gender. The results are as follows: Factor innovative was loaded by fluency and originality; factor adaptive loaded by elaboration, abstractness of titles, and creative strength; and both factor innovative and factor adaptive loaded by resistance to premature closure. The percentage of adaptive styles is higher than the innovative styles. Urban had more adaptors than rural. There were more adaptors in 6th grade than 5th grade. Gifted female adaptors had significantly higher creative potential than gifted male adaptors and gifted female innovators also showed higher creative potential than gifted male innovators. Creativity styles can give more information about individuals' strengths and weakness so that do an important role in understanding characteristics of gifted students.
Observation is the base of creativity and inquiry. The purposes of this study were to analyze the characteristics of observation of middle school students, and to investigate their creativity by observation activities. The subjects of the study were 25 students for characteristics of observation and 144 students for both observation activity group and non-observation group, as a control, in a middle school. As a result, 25 students wrote 206 cases for the characteristics of observation. The cases were mostly classified in visual ways, such as color, figure, and movement. Students analyzed in primitive ways, observed in the given-limited situation, and confirmed with teachers or other students, The results of this study for creativity by observation activity were analyzed by ANCOVA and this study showed that observation activity was found to be effective in increasing students' creativity (p<0.05).
The purpose of this study is to verify the validity of a creativity measurement tool and to discover the creativity characteristics of creative gifted students by assessing the difference in the creativity characteristics of creative gifted students, who were selected from gifted students in elementary and middle schools through the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(TTCT), according to school level and the type of the students (gifted student in mathematics, gifted student in science). To this research purpose, creative gifted students were selected by the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(TTCT) on 594 students, who had applied for super gifted education, from 17 gifted students institutes under the jurisdiction of Jeollabukdo office of education, Then, t-tests and multiple regression analysis were performed to analyze the creativity factors between elementary students and middle school students and between mathematics-gifted students and science-gifted students. From the research, the following results were obtained. Although TTCT is effective in distinguishing gifted students with and without creativity, correlation coefficient values between creativity factors(the correlation coefficients between 'fluency' and 'originality' and between 'fluency' and 'elaboration' were .78 and .50 respectively) suggested the possibility of low uniqueness of creativity factors. In addition, compared with elementary students, middle school students showed significantly lower fluency (circles), elaboration(picture construction, picture completion), and the abstractness of titles(picture structure). In the meantime, science-gifted students displayed significantly higher originality(picture construction), and elaboration(picture construction, picture completion, circles) than mathematics-gifted students. Therefore, continuous study is required to enhance the validity of the test for the selection of creativity gifted students. Besides, efforts should be made to find ways to enhance the creativity of gifted students and to resolve the problem of decreasing creativity with student academic level increasing.
The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching strategy focused on science writing and to investigate its effects on enhancing students' creative thinking skills. In advance, students in the experiment were led to write by inquiry elements. And students in the experiment group were taught by science writing strategy. Students in the control group were taught by traditional lecture-based instructions. The program was implemented over a semester. The results indicated that the experimental group presented statistically meaningful improvement in creative thinking skills(p<.05). Especially, science writing was effective on fluency and flexibility development(p<.05). This study suggests that science writing can be effective for improvement of creative thinking skills.

The purpose of this study was to investigate secondary science teachers' general perceptions of scientific and creative problem solving. The secondary science teachers responded to a survey. The results indicated that most of the teachers perceived enhancing scientific and creative problem solving skills as one of the most important goals in teaching science. However, they hardly implemented instructions for scientific and creative problem solving in their science lessons. They reported the absence of specialized teaching strategies and assessment tools for scientific and creative problem solving, and university entrance exam-oriented social and educational atmosphere as major barriers. In addition, the teachers tended to present limited understanding of scientific and creative problem solving, which is merely focused on creativity. Considering the results, it was thought that a guide to a clear conception of scientific and creative problem solving was needed. Also, many teaching strategies and appropriate assessment tools for adopting and scientific and creative problem solving were required.
