  • Chinese Tibetan Opera is a highly comprehensive drama type, which combines the educational aesthetic characteristics of the realism of Western drama and the freehand of Chinese opera, including mask play, square play, ritual play and religious play. Tibetan opera, as a kind of local drama, has high research value, which is determined by its educational aesthetic characteristics. The world's three major dramas include Sanskrit dramas in India, tragic-comedies in ancient Greece and Chinese dramas, which have different forms of expression and educational aesthetic characteristics. Because of the particularity of its birthplace, Tibetan Opera inherits some of the three forms of the above three dramas. Ancient Greek tragedies originate from the sacrificial ritual of the god of wine. In the early ceremonial action performances, the actors were all men and needed to wear masks to perform. In Tibetan opera, men also play a role in masks, which are originated from the folk totem dance and religious pantomime music and dance. Due to the long history of Indian Sanskrit drama, except for the relevant records in dance theory, the specific performance form can not be verified. However, according to the relevant records in dance theory, the three characters "Wenba", "Jialu" and "Lamu" in the opening play of Tibetan opera are similar to the "concept character play" in Sanskrit opera. Tibetan Opera is a very important part of traditional Chinese opera, which inherits the educational aesthetic characteristics of Chinese opera.

  • In this article, potential problems in the exchanges and collaboration of South and North Korean performance programs were reviewed focusing on the articles related to performances in the North Korean copyright law. In the North Korean copyright law, there were significant differences from the ordinary rules in the international society or lack of the rules. They are the problems on the bases and principles of North Korean copyright law, unacceptance of copyrightable works against their political system, equal and mutual benefit on the copyright of the South Korean copyrightable works, neighboring copyright and economic right, unlimited protection for moral right, unpreparedness of right protection for online copyrightable works, and so on. On the other hand, the available performance programs to exchange mutually between South and North in the short run include national operas, dramas, musicals, festival events, and so on. However, legal and systematic improvement plans are required on the different copyright rules between South and North to facilitate the exchanges and cooperation. Externally, collaborations are required in the international copyright stage such as collaborative agreements on various international copyright usages, and we should consider the global entrance of performance programs that contain national sentiment and develop mutual trusts through these.

  • In this paper, I tried to study the change of the Chinese performing arts market during the 10th 5year development plan, from year 2001 to year 2005 by both of the quantitative and qualitative analysis, because it's really the time when we need to understand the growing market of chinese culture along with the development of the Chinese cultural industry. During that period, the Chinese government developed the policy to establish a healthy cultural market and strengthen it's cultural power; the parts who product the piece of performing arts including the performing troupes, the theatres and the production companies were consolidated and became familiar to market through the reformation of the organization; and the audience who consume the performing arts and entertainments still shows very Chinese characteristics in the cities and villages. In the village, the audiences invite the troupe to play their local theatre in many occasions of their life according to their traditional beliefs, also somehow to show their wealth. The fact that the local governments and the companies are very important consumer groups in China is also very 'Chinese' characteristics. It means that Chinese performing arts are still more or less under the influence of the political ideas. Nonetheless it is worthy of notice that Chinese performing arts not only develope the new contents in very creative way and also try to learn the knowhow of the excellent items of foreign countries by inviting them to the festivals or organize a co-productions on the basis of the upgraded cultural power through the 10th 5 year development plan.

  • Jeong Sun-Ah built up her performance career for twenty years with bold and energetic acting and solidified her status as a leading actress of Korean musical since her debut. To benefit from the value of her experience this study performed an in-depth interview with her, applying the Theory of "Projection" and "Back-projection", which are the psychological principles of acting, and derived "acting(entering the roles)" and "de-acting(leaving the roles)" techniques. As result, Her acting mechanism involved emptying her ego, embodying a persona by projecting the role created by intensive exploration of materials like previous performance, film of the same title, original novel, and script, and then getting the ego back by back-projecting through dynamic activities such as overseas travel and dance. She pre-studied the roles by physically visiting sites that are important to the characters. She was unique in that she pursued a difference by changing vocal trainers for each musical production and undertook more intense physical training than vocal practice to achieve powerful singing performance. In most of her works (75%), she suffered from aftereffects such as depression, narcissism, hysteria, and insomnia due to disorder caused by breaking away from the roles. However, she relied on self-help and alternatives are needed in the future such as reinforcement of expert counselling. Jeong Sun-Ah appeared on an average of 1.6 productions per year, practiced for an average of 1.7 months, and performed for an average of 3.9 months with an average of 100 days of break between productions. Her performance record from this research demonstrates her constant preparation and passion, as well as the know-how of reserving and distributing energy. So, it has a valuable implications for acting education and self-management of actors and actress.
