  • The purpose of this study was to explore whether posttraumatic growth moderates the effects of stress on depression and quality of life in cancer survivors. Data were collected from 173 cancer survivors in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Jeolla provinces. We used hierarchical regression to analyze the data. As the results, first, the interaction of stress and posttraumatic growth affected depression and quality of life. It means that even though the levels of stress are high when the levels of posttraumatic growth are high, the levels of depression are lower and the levels of quality of life are higher than posttraumatic growth being low. Second, the interaction of stress and posttraumatic growth affected two sub-factors of quality of life. We discussed the interventions to reduce depression and to increase quality of life.

Data collection was carried out using a self-administered questionnaire from Nov. 12, 2018 to Dec. 14, 2018 and the target was randomly selected 304 students from colleges located in J area. Depression was positively correlated with job seeking stress, academic burnout and anxiety. The covariance structure analysis showed that the job seeking stress, the higher academic burnout and the higher anxiety tend to increase depression. These results show that to lower college students' depression, it is necessary to try to lower job seeking stress, academic burnout, and anxiety. These results are expected to be utilized for employment counseling, academic counseling, and expansion of resources for psychological stability and various interventions that lower the depression of college students. • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of SNS addiction on cyber-bullying among adolescents, considering the adjustment effect of friendship on this relationship. This study involved 811 middle/high school students with a gender distribution of 391 males and 420 females. A hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to verify the moderating effect of friendship. The result shows that better peer communication and reliance lowers the impact of cyber-bullying from SNS addiction. Based on research results suggesting the popularization of proactive pre-diagnosis programs to solve SNS addiction, practical intervention plans and the limitations of research on SNS addiction and cyber-bullying in youth are suggested.
