  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of perceived agile culture(empowerment, continuous learning, personal communication Intensification) on job performance(task, contextual, adaptive) and to explore the moderating effect of individual capability(knowledge, skill). For the empirical analysis, data were collected from convenient sample of 219 employees working at enterprise in China. The analysis of validity and reliability of variables and regression analysis were performed using SPSS 21. The results of this research as followed: firstly, the positive perceived agile culture and job performance were statistically supported. Secondly, the individual capability played as a partial moderator on the relationship between the perceived agile culture and the job performance. The factors that constitute the perceived agile culture can present the research directions for the transformation into the agile organization.

  • The stability, reliability and efficiency of a smart ship are important issues as the interest in an autonomous ship has recently been high. An automatic collision avoidance system is an essential function of an autonomous ship. This system detects the possibility of collision and automatically takes avoidance actions in consideration of economy and safety. In order to construct an automatic collision avoidance system using reinforcement learning, in this work, the sequential decision problem of ship collision is mathematically formulated through a Markov Decision Process (MDP). A reinforcement learning environment is constructed based on the ship maneuvering equations, and then the three key components (state, action, and reward) of MDP are defined. The state uses parameters of the relationship between own-ship and target-ship, the action is the vertical distance away from the target course, and the reward is defined as a function considering safety and economics. In order to solve the sequential decision problem, the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) algorithm which can express continuous action space and search an optimal action policy is utilized. The collision avoidance system is then tested assuming the $90^{\circ}$intersection encounter situation and yields a satisfactory result.

  • The purpose of this research is to provide implication for the preparation of the specific and practical strategy through an analysis of whether commitment to career choice (vocational exploration commitment and tendency to foreclose) acts as a mediating effect between self-determination (autonomy, competence, and relatedness) and career preparation behavior. Data was collected from 258 students at a vocational training school in Seoul, and was analyzed hierarchical regression analysis. The result shows that commitment to career choice has partial mediating effect on the relationship between self-determination and career preparation behavior. Secondly, self-determination effects on career preparation behavior and among them, the effect of relatedness is predominant. The result of this study suggest practical insights about how a vocational training school can motivate students to participate in self-determination and commitment to career choice for improved educational environment with related career preparation programs.

  • Objective: This study examined the gossip, an evaluative conversation about an absent third party, through qualitative research methods, and explored the subjects and the social function of gossip among young children. Methods: The subject of this study included 24 five-year-olds children in Somang class at Baram kindergarten in Seoul. The data consisted of 20 participant observation, 2 in-depth interviews with the teacher, and informal interviews with the children. Results: The subjects of gossip among young children were peers, teachers, and family members. The social function of gossip among children was strengthening peer relationship, selecting peers, confirming rules, and pleasure. The results of this study confirmed that children are sensitive observers of their surroundings and that their peers, teachers, and families are important beings with influence in their lives. It also showed that children's gossip was a social conversation in which children build peer relationships, learn norms and experience pleasant emotions. Conclusion/Implications: This study has the significance of providing various perspectives on the socialization process of young children by looking at gossip which was perceived as a negative image, from a new perspective.

  • This is a traditional education content that has been consistently handled in elementary school mathematics textbooks since the first curriculum in Korea. It has been mainly used to find out the properties of the solid figure or to save the surface area. However, as the importance of spatial ability is increasingly emphasized, the nets of solids can be a very suitable learning material for dealing with the spatial ability. Therefore, in this study, we examined how the nets of solids were taught in elementary school mathematics curriculum and textbooks in Korea, and based on the analysis, we analyzed the contents of the nets of solids covered in textbooks of Japan, Singapore, Finland and Hong Kong. Through this study, we suggested the enhancement of activities to find the right nets, the presentation of solid figure from various angles, and the nets of solids with patterns for improvement of spatial visualization and spatial orientation.

  • This study conducted an overall recognition analysis and demand survey of parent education programs in order to explore ways to promote parent education. Based on previous research, the questionnaire was developed including five factors and 23 items : (1) operating a center to support parent education, (2) perception on parent education programs, (3) developing a parent education program, (4) utilizing space, and (5) program operation and evaluation. A survey was administered on the parents of second and fourth graders at A elementary school in Chungju. The result showed that parents are positive about the operation of the center, which can provide professional support for parent education programs. There was also a great demand to strengthen the educational content of parents' roles. This study is meaningful in providing basic data for developing parent education programs based on the perception and demand analysis of existing parent education. Furthermore, the need for performance analysis and feedback was presented in future research directions after the actual development and operation of parent education programs that reflected the demand of parents.

  • This study aims to identify the effects of teachers' recognition and application of 2015 revised national curriculum on their educational information needs in high schools. Several in-depth interviews and a questionnaire survey with the teachers, who were in charge of teaching common courses, such as Korean language, mathematics, English, social studies, and science, in general public high schools in Incheon, were executed for the purpose. As a result, the teachers' recognition and application affected their educational information needs in part. Especially, new demands on small sized copies and learning information sources were identified which were related to the application of 2015 revised national curriculum. Based on the results, we proposed several improvements of school library operations, such as small sized local consortium for sharing resources and providing referral services, in order to strengthen the gateway role of school libraries.

  • With the curriculum revision in 2015, informatics for secondary high schools was designated as mandatory. As a result, there is an increasing interest in programming in elementary and junior high schools as well as in universities. Arduino is one of the famous tools for programming education, and the usefulness of it has been proven through various case studies. However, existing Arduino-based kits have hardware-dependent drawbacks such as complicated wiring, poor scalability, etc. To overcome these problems, we proposed a kit design, which has a module-based structure, can be extended through one common interface, and can be used for learning at various levels. In this paper, we describe the implementation details of FRUTO kit and a software to use it, which satisfies the proposed design criteria. FRUTO kit has been determined in its current form through several design changes, and is under pre-test before launching.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the curriculum of a university-affiliated science gifted education center based on the core competencies and to suggest a direction for improving the education at the gifted education center. For this purpose, we set the 12 core competencies as follows: 6 cognitive competencies such as knowledge, creativity, scientific thinking ability, inquiry ability, problem solving ability and fusion ability, and 6 non-cognitive competencies such as task commitment, self-directed learning ability, motivation reinforcement and challenge, communication skills, collaboration ability and leadership. The curricula of the science gifted education centers reflect all the competencies, but some competencies are only potentially included in the contents of the programs. In this study, we present examples of education programs by each competences and suggest additional descriptions for the development of gifted education centers.

  • This study is to support the school's mathematics exploration activities. Mathematics exploration is a very important mathematical activity not only for mathematics teachers, but also for students. Looking at the development of mathematics, it has been extended from one mathematical fact to a new mathematical fact. Mathematics exploration activities are not unique to mathematicians, and opportunities are equally given to all ordinary people who are learning mathematics and teaching mathematics. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a method of mathematics exploration activities that teachers and students can perform in schools, based on mathematics exploration activities based on one mathematical fact. Specifically, the cosine law was selected as one mathematical fact, and mathematical exploration activities were performed based on the cosine law. By analyzing the results of these mathematics exploration activities, we developed a method to explore school mathematics. Through the results of this study, it is expected that mathematics exploration activities will be conducted equally by students and teachers in the mathematics classroom.
