  • For a complex measure ${\mu}$ on B and $f{\in}L^2_a(B)$, the Toeplitz operator $T_{\mu}$ on $L^2_a(B,dv)$ with symbol ${\mu}$ is formally defined by $T_{\mu}(f)(w)=\int_{B}f(w)\bar{K(z,w)}d{\mu}(w)$. We will investigate properties of the Toeplitz operator $T_{\mu}$ with symbol ${\mu}$. We define the Toeplitz type operator $T^r_{\psi}$ with symbol ${\psi}$, $$T^r_{\psi}f(z)=c_r\int_{B}\frac{(1-{\parallel}w{\parallel}^2)^r}{(1-{\langle}z,w{\rangle})^{n+r+1}}{\psi}(w)f(w)d{\nu}(w)$$. We will also investigate properties of the Toeplitz type operator with symbol ${\psi}$.

  • In 1986, R. Huff [3] showed that a Dunford integrable function is Pettis integrable if and only if T : $X^*{\rightarrow}L_1(\mu)$ is weakly compact operator and {$T(K(F,\varepsilon))|F{\subset}X$, F : finite and ${\varepsilon}$ > 0} = {0}. In this paper, we introduce the notion of Bourgain property of real valued functions formulated by J. Bourgain [2]. We show that the class of pettis integrable functions is linear space and if lis bounded function with Bourgain property, then T : $X^{**}{\rightarrow}L_1(\mu)$ by $T(x^{**})=x^{**}f$ is $weak^*$ - to - weak linear operator. Also, if operator T : $L_1(\mu){\rightarrow}X^*$ with Bourgain property, then we show that f is Pettis representable.

  • Broaching is widely used for the machining of inner shaped slots in work-pieces. The broach tool is moved vertically (usually by hydraulic power) through the work-piece. Broaching occurs with the work-pieced fix while the broach tool traverses through material and shears it. To produce a T/F driven gear both an outside cutting and an inside cutting are needed. The outside cut determines the tooth profile and the inside cut determines the inner dimension. Broaching can cause problems with concentricity. In the current study, the characteristics of shearing along the cutting blade and the broaching of a T/F driven gear are considered.

  • Let $F_n$, $n{\in}{\mathbb{N}}$ be the n - th Fibonacci number, and let (p, q) be one of ordered pairs ($F_{n+2}$, $F_n$) or ($F_{n+1}$, $F_n$). Then we show that the multiplicative inverse of q mod p as well as that of p mod q are again Fibonacci numbers. For proof of our claim we make use of well-known Cassini, Catlan and dOcagne identities. As an application, we determine the number $N_{p,q}$ of nonzero term of a polynomial ${\Delta}_{p,q}(t)=\frac{(t^{pq}-1)(t-1)}{(t^p-1)(t^q-1)}$ through the Carlitz's formula.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the reliability of the instrument and to analyze the contents of the humor. This study was conducted from December 16th, 2002 to January 13th, 2003, centering on Busan Dental Hospital & public health service. A total of 193 questionnaires was distributed for the survey. The result were as followings: 1. There were significant differences in humor values concerning age(F=1l.44, p=0.000), marriage(t= -3.556, p=0.000), education(F=14.83, p=0.000), clinical carrier(F=9.99, p=0.000), status(F=5.83, p=0.001), working place(F=7.39, p=0.000), and living parents(F=3.65, p=0.014). Humor values were higher for over-forties, married dental hygienists, public health service worker and no living parents. 2. There were no Significant correlation between stress and the dental hygienist's humor values. 3. There were significant differences in humor values concerning sources of the dental hygienist's humor. • 18 boreholes with nitrate contaminated were selected. Samples were collected 4 times between both 1995 and 1996. Stable nitrogen isotope ratio for them all was measured and the contribution to contamination from several sources like fertilizer, sewage, cropland. and landfill was analysed. Nitrogen source for 11 sampling sites of T-3, L-1. O-1∼O-4, F-2∼F-5, and G-2 considered to come from chemical fertilizer and its contribution was around 60% or more. T-4. T-5 were located downward the downtown, which were influenced bydomestic sewage and its contribution were 70.7% and 54.7%. Nitrate concentration of G-2 was 17.7 mg/L, among which 60.7% was estimated to come from landfill leachate. T-1 and T-2 were located in the small village, in which 42.2 and 43.4% of nitrogen was to come from domestic sewage but 52.8% and 56.0% were from fertilizer sprayed in the cropland. L-2 was near livestock by which it was estimated to be influenced, in which 59.9% of nitrogen was from cropland. F-1 was in the cropland, by which 50.0% was influenced and 49.5% was estimated from organic matter of animals.

  • Self-splicing group I introns in tRNA anticodon loops have been found in diverse groups of bacteria. In this work, we identified $tRNA^{fMet}$ group I introns in six strains of marine Synechococcus elongatus. Introns with sizes around 280 bp were consistently obtained in all the strains tested. In a phylogenetic analysis using the nucleotide sequence determined in this study with other cyanobacterial $tRNA^{fMet}$ and $tRNA^{Leu}$ intron sequences, the Synechococcus sequence was grouped together with the sequences from other unicellular cyanobacterial strains. Interestingly, the phylogenetic tree inferred from the intronic sequences clearly separates the different tRNA introns, suggesting that each family has its own evolutionary history.

Operator will always mean continuous linear operator. An n-tuple of operators T$_{1}$,..,T$_{n}$ on X will be denoted by over ^ T=(T$_{1}$,..,T$_{n}$ ). Let L$^{n}$ (X) be the set of all n-tuples of operators on X. • In this note, we study the local spectral properties of semi-shifts. If $T\;{\in}\;L(X)$ is a semi-shift on a complex Banach space X, then T is admissible. We also prove that if $T\;{\in}\;L(X)$ is subadmissible, then $X_T(F)\;=\;E_T(F)$ for all closed $F\;{\subseteq}\;\mathbb{C}$. In particular, every subscalar operator on a Banach space is admissible.
