Using the Bu$\c{s}$neag's model ([1, 2, 3]), the notion of pseudo-valuations (valuations) on a ${\mathbf{BCK/BCI}}$-algebra is introduced, and a pseudo-metric is induced by a pseudo-valuation on ${\mathbf{BCK/BCI}}$-algebras. Based on the notion of (pseudo) valuation, we show that the binary operation in ${\mathbf{BCK/BCI}}$-algebras is uniformly continuous.

With the motivation to extend the Zelasko's theorem on commutative algebras, it was shown in [2] that if n ∈ {3, 4} is fixed, A, B are commutative algebras and h : A → B is an n-Jordan homomorphism, then h is an n-ring homomorphism. In this paper, we extend this result for all n ≥ 3.

Let G be a Lie group, let L(G) be its Lie algebra, and let exp : $L(G){\rightarrow}G$ denote the exponential mapping. For $S{\subseteq}G$, we define the tangent set of S by $L(S)\;=\;\{X\;{\in}\;L(G)\;:\;exp(tX)\;\in\;S\;for\;all\;t\;{\geq}\;0\}$. We say that a semigroup S is strictly infinitesimally generated if S is the same as the semigroup generated by exp(L(S)). We find a tangent set of the semigroup of all non-singular totally positive matrices and show that the semigroup is strictly infinitesimally generated by the tangent set of the semigroup. This generalizes the familiar relationships between connected Lie subgroups of G and their Lie algebras

For a Borel function ${\psi}:\mathbb{R}{\times}\mathbb{R}{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ satisfying the functional equation $\psi$ (s + t, u + v) + $\psi$(s - t, u - v) = $2\psi$(s, u) + $2\psi$(t, v), we show that it satisfies the functional equation $$\psi$$(s, t) = s(s - t)$$\psi$$(1, 0) + $$st\psi$$(1, 1) + t(t - s)$$\psi$$(0, 1). Using this, we prove the stability of the functional equation f(ax + ay, bz + bw) + f(ax - ay, bz - bw) = 2abf(x, z) + 2abf(y,w) in Banach modules over a unital $C^*$-algebra.

Let A be the mod p Steenrod algebra for p an arbitrary odd prime and S the sphere spectrum localized at p. In this paper, some useful propositions about the May spectral sequence are first given, and then, two new nontrivial homotopy elements ${\alpha}_1{\jmath}{\xi}_n\;(p{\geq}5,n\;{\geq}\;3)\;and\;{\gamma}_s{\alpha}_1{\jmath}{\xi}_n\;(p\;{\geq}\;7,\;n\;{\geq}\;4)$ are detected in the stable homotopy groups of spheres, where ${\xi}_n\;{\in}\;{\pi}_{p^nq+pq-2}M$ is obtained in [2]. The new ones are of degree 2(p - 1)($p^n+p+1$) - 4 and 2(p - 1)($p^n+sp^2$ + sp + (s - 1)) - 7 and are represented up to nonzero scalar by $b_0h_0h_n,\;b_0h_0h_n\tilde{\gamma}_s\;{\neq}\;0\;{\in}\;Ext^{*,*}_A^(Z_p,\;Z_p)$ in the Adams spectral sequence respectively, where $3\;{\leq}\;s\;<\;p-2$.

본 연구는 중등수학교육에서 도구화된 CAS에 기반한 최적화 문제해결 활동을 통해 CAS가 교육과정 내용제시 순서에 영향을 줄 수 있는지를 분석하기 위해 설계되었다. 이를 위하여 본 연구자는 CAS를 활용한 최적화 문제해결 활동을 구안하였으며 3개월간의 CAS 활용 수업 경험이 있으나 아직 미적분학을 접해 본 적이 없는 고등학교 2학년 7명을 선정하여 총 9차시의 수업을 실시하고, 수업녹화자료와 면담을 통해 학생들의 활동을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학생들은 CAS를 이용하여 미 학습된 교육내용인 미분과 삼차방정식, 무리방정식의 해구하기와 그래프 분석이 포함된 최적화 문제해결활동을 수준 높게 다룰 수 있는 것으로 나타나 CAS가 교육과정 내용제시 순서에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The concept of the structure conformal vector field C on a Sasakian manifold M is defined. The existence of such a C on M is determined by an exterior differential system in involution. In this case M is a foliate manifold and the vector field C enjoys the property to be exterior concurrent. This allows to prove some interesting properties of the Ricci tensor and Obata's theorem concerning isometries to a sphere. Different properties of the conformal Lie algebra induced by C are also discussed.

Let $M_n$ be the $C^*$-algebra of all $n \times n$ matrices over the complex field, and $P[M_m, M_n]$ the convex cone of all positive linear maps from $M_m$ into $M_n$ that is, the maps which send the set of positive semidefinite matrices in $M_m$ into the set of positive semi-definite matrices in $M_n$. The convex structures of $P[M_m, M_n]$ are highly complicated even in low dimensions, and several authors [CL, KK, LW, O, R, S, W]have considered the possibility of decomposition of $P[M_m, M_n] into subcones.

Analogy, based on a similarity, is to infer the properties of the similar object from properties of an object. It can be a very useful thinking tool for learning mathematical patterns and laws, noticing on relational properties among various situations. The purpose of this study, when manipulating hint condition, figure and table conditions and the amount of original learning by using algebra word problems, is to verify the effects of analogical transfer in solving equivalent, isomorphic and similar problems according to the similarity of source problems and target ones. Five study questions were set up for the above purpose. It was 354 first grade students of S and G middle schools in Seoul that were experimented for this study. The data was processed by MANOVA analysis of statistical program, SPSS 10.0. The results of this studies would indicate that most of the students would be poor at solving isomorphic and similar problems in the performance of analogical transfer according to the similarity of source and target problems. Hints, figure and table conditions did not facilitate the analogical transfer. Merely, on the condition that amount of teaming was increased, analogical transfer of the students was facilitated. Therefore, it is necessary to have students do much more analogical problem-solving experience to improve their analogical reasoning ability through the instruction program development in the educational fields.
