NORMAL INTERPOLATION ON AX = Y IN ALG$\mathcal{L}$

  • Given operators X and Y acting on a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX = Y. In this article, the following is proved: Let $\mathcal{L}$ be a subspace lattice on $\mathcal{H}$ and let X and Y be operators acting on a Hilbert space H. Let P be the projection onto the $\overline{rangeX}$. If PE = EP for each E ${\in}$ $\mathcal{L}$, then the following are equivalent: (1) sup ${{\frac{{\parallel}E^{\perp}Yf{\parallel}}{{\parallel}E^{\perp}Xf{\parallel}}}:f{\in}\mathcal{H},\;E{\in}\mathcal{L}}$ < ${\infty},\;\overline{rangeY}\;{\subset}\;\overline{rangeX}$, and there is a bounded operator T acting on $\mathcal{H}$ such that < Xf, Tg >=< Yf, Xg >, < Tf, Tg >=< Yf, Yg > for all f and gin $\mathcal{H}$ and $T^*h$ = 0 for h ${\in}\;{\overline{rangeX}}^{\perp}$. (2) There is a normal operator A in AlgL such that AX = Y and Ag = 0 for all g in range ${\overline{rangeX}}^{\perp}$.

  • Let ${\cal{L}}$ be a commutative subspace lattice on a Hilbert space ${\cal{H}}$ and X and Y be operators on ${\cal{H}}$. Let $${\cal{M}}_X=\{{\sum}{\limits_{i=1}^n}E_{i}Xf_{i}:n{\in}{\mathbb{N}},f_{i}{\in}{\cal{H}}\;and\;E_{i}{\in}{\cal{L}}\}$$ and $${\cal{M}}_Y=\{{\sum}{\limits_{i=1}^n}E_{i}Yf_{i}:n{\in}{\mathbb{N}},f_{i}{\in}{\cal{H}}\;and\;E_{i}{\in}{\cal{L}}\}.$$ Then the following are equivalent. (i) There is an operator A in $Alg{\cal{L}}$ such that AX = Y, Ag = 0 for all g in ${\overline{{\cal{M}}_X}}^{\bot},A^*A=AA^*$ and every E in ${\cal{L}}$ reduces A. (ii) ${\sup}\;\{K(E, f)\;:\;n\;{\in}\;{\mathbb{N}},f_i\;{\in}\;{\cal{H}}\;and\;E_i\;{\in}\;{\cal{L}}\}\;<\;\infty,\;{\overline{{\cal{M}}_Y}}\;{\subset}\;{\overline{{\cal{M}}_X}}$and there is an operator T acting on ${\cal{H}}$ such that ${\langle}EX\;f,Tg{\rangle}={\langle}EY\;f,Xg{\rangle}$ and ${\langle}ET\;f,Tg{\rangle}={\langle}EY\;f,Yg{\rangle}$ for all f, g in ${\cal{H}}$ and E in ${\cal{L}}$, where $K(E,\;f)\;=\;{\parallel}{\sum{\array}{n\\i=1}}\;E_{i}Y\;f_{i}{\parallel}/{\parallel}{\sum{\array}{n\\i=1}}\;E_{i}Xf_{i}{\parallel}$.

  • Let M be a semi-invariant submanifold of codimension 3 with almost contact metric structure (��, ξ, η, g) in a complex space form Mn+1(c), c ≠ 0. We denote by Rξ = R(·, ξ)ξ and A(i) be Jacobi operator with respect to the structure vector field ξ and be the second fundamental form in the direction of the unit normal C(i), respectively. Suppose that the third fundamental form t satisfies dt(X, Y ) = 2��g(��X, Y ) for certain scalar ��(≠ 2c)and any vector fields X and Y and at the same time Rξ is ��∇ξξ-parallel, then M is a Hopf hypersurface in Mn(c) provided that it satisfies RξA(1) = A(1)Rξ, RξA(2) = A(2)Rξ and ${\bar{r}}-2(n-1)c{\leq}0$, where ${\bar{r}}$ denotes the scalar curvature of M.

  • In this paper, using differential operator, we have introduce new class of p-valent uniformly convex functions in the unit disc U = {z : |z| < 1} and obtain the coefficient bounds, extreme bounds and radius of starlikeness for the functions belonging to this generalized class. Furthermore, partial sums $f_k(z)$ of functions $f(z)$ in the class $S^*({\lambda},{\alpha},{\beta})$ are considered. The various results obtained in this paper are sharp.

  • Let M be a semi-invariant submanifold of codimension 3 with almost contact metric structure (φ, ξ, η, g) in a complex space form Mn+1(c). We denote by Rξ the structure Jacobi operator with respect to the structure vector field ξ and by ${\bar{r}}$ the scalar curvature of M. Suppose that Rξ is φ∇ξξ-parallel and at the same time the third fundamental form t satisfies dt(X, Y) = 2θg(φX, Y) for a scalar θ(≠ 2c) and any vector fields X and Y on M. In this paper, we prove that if it satisfies Rξφ = φRξ, then M is a Hopf hypersurface of type (A) in Mn+1(c) provided that ${\bar{r}-2(n-1)c}$ ≤ 0.

WEIGHTED COMPOSITION OPERATORS ON WEIGHTED SPACES OF VECTOR-VALUED ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS

  • Let V be an arbitrary system of weights on an open connected subset G of ${\mathbb{C}}^N(N{\geq}1)$ and let B (E) be the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on a Banach space E. Let $HV_b$ (G, E) and $HV_0$ (G, E) be the weighted locally convex spaces of vector-valued analytic functions. In this paper, we characterize self-analytic mappings ${\phi}:G{\rightarrow}G$ and operator-valued analytic mappings ${\Psi}:G{\rightarrow}B(E)$ which generate weighted composition operators and invertible weighted composition operators on the spaces $HV_b$ (G, E) and $HV_0$ (G, E) for different systems of weights V on G. Also, we obtained compact weighted composition operators on these spaces for some nice classes of weights.

  • We are concerned with the multiplicity of solutions of the nonlinear biharmonic equation with Dirichlet boundary condition, ${\Delta}^2u+c{\Delta}u=g(u)$, in ${\Omega}$, where $c{\in}R$ and ${\Delta}^2$ denotes the biharmonic operator. We show that there exists at least three solutions of the above problem under the suitable condition of g(u).

ON SOME UNBOUNDED DOMAINS FOR A MAXIMUM PRINCIPLE

  • In this paper, we study some characterizations of unbounded domains. Among these, so-called G-domain is introduced by Cabre for the Aleksandrov-Bakelman-Pucci maximum principle of second order linear elliptic operator in a non-divergence form. This domain is generalized to wG-domain by Vitolo for the maximum principle of an unbounded domain, which contains G-domain. We study the properties of these domains and compare some other characterizations. We prove that sA-domain is wG-domain, but using the Cantor set, we are able to construct a example which is wG-domain but not sA-domain.

Nylon Thread를 이용한 mouse 에서의 Transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model 확립 (Transient Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion Model in Mouse using Nylon Thread)

  • 서론: 최근 노년층에서 뇌졸중 발병률이 증가하고 있다. 현재 뇌졸중 치료제 및 방법이 많이 개발되어 있으나 치료 후에도 후유증 등이 많이 남게 된다. 그래서 아직도 많은 과학자나 임상 의사들이 이를 치료하기 위한 약물 및 방법을 연구하고 있는 실정이다. 많은 연구 중 뇌졸중 치료 연구를 위한 표준화된 실험 동물연구는 드물며, 표준화된 Nylon thread를 이용한 중대뇌동맥 폐쇄모델(MCAO, middle cerebral artery occlusion)의 성공률에 대한 연구는 거의 없다 방법: 본연구는 $0.18{\pm}0.02mm$의 지름을 가진 5-0 Nylon thread를 중대뇌동맥에 삽입하였다. 60분 동안 삽입한 후에 봉합해 놓았던 부위를 다시 절개하여 Nylon thread를 빼내고, 막았던 혈관의 매듭을 풀어주어, 다시 혈액이 공급되게 하였다. 그로부터 23시간 후에 뇌를 내어 1mm 두께로 자른 후 1.5% TTC(2',3',5'-triphenyl-tetrazolium chloride)로 15분간 염색하고, 4% PFA(paraformaldehyde)로 15분 동안 고정하였다. 결과: Nylon thread를 삽입하여, MCA occlusion 50마리, ICA occlusion 14마리, 제대로 된 MCAO model보다 좀 더 깊게 들어간 distal MCAO model 36마리, 너무 깊은 MCA나 ACA까지 들어가서 상보적인 괴사를 나타내는 occlusion model 1마리, 그리고 경색이 일어나지 않은 마우스 50마리를 확인하였다. 결론: 이에 본 연구에서는 Nylon Thread를 생쥐의 무게에 따라 32~36g 인 생쥐는 9mm로 삽입하여주고, 37~40g인 생쥐는 9mm+0.5mm의 깊이로 삽입하여서 1hr의 occlusion과 23hr의 reperfusion을 주어 생쥐를 TTC 염색을 통하여 괴사가 일어난 부분을 확인하였고, 생쥐에서 가역적인 뇌혈관 경색으로 151말중 101마리에서 뇌경색을 유도 할 수 있었다(66.9%).
