Reflection(R($\omega$)), transmission(T($\omega$)) and loss(L($\omega$)) characteristics of multi-layer metamaterials are investigated experimentally in free space with the incident EM waves perpendicular to the substrate plane. The sample is made of split-ring resonators(SRRs) and wires which are the typical model of metamaterials. The R($\omega$) and T($\omega$) of multi-layer metamaterials have been calculated from the measured S-parameters. In this paper, we got the impedance-matched result according to the curves of R($\omega$), meanwhile the T($\omega$) decreased with increasing number of layers. At last, we attained the result that the L($\omega$) gets to nearly 98% around 8 GHz, with R($\omega$)=T($\omega$)=0. The design presented in this paper achieves experimented loss near unity.
This paper presents theoretical investigation on the cross correlation between torsional vibration ($u_{\theta}$) and translation vibration ($u_x$) of asymmetrical structure under white noise excitation. The formula reveals that the cross correlation coefficient (${\rho}$) is a function of uncoupled frequency ratio (${\Omega}={\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$), eccentricity, and damping ratio (${\xi}$). Simulations involving acceleration records from fifteen different earthquakes show correlation coefficients results similar to the theoretical correlation coefficients. The uncoupled frequency ratio is the dominating parameter to ${\rho}$; generally, ${\rho}$ is positive for ${\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$ > 1.0, negative for ${\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$ < 1.0, and close to zero for ${\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$ = 1.0. When the eccentricity or damping ratio increases, ${\rho}$ increases moderately for small ${\Omega}$ (< 1.0) only. The relation among $u_x$, $u_{\theta}$ and corner displacement are best presented by ${\rho}$; a simple way to hand-calculate the theoretical dynamic corner displacements from $u_x$, $u_{\theta}$ and ${\rho}$ is proposed as an alternative to dynamic analysis.
The ${\omega}$-formyl carboxylic acid was produced by ozone oxidation of cycloolefins in the presence of pyridine and its production yield was examined by varying temperature and solvent. As the reaction temperature increased, the yield of ${\alpha}$, ${\omega}$-dicarboxylic acid increased whereas that of ${\alpha}$, ${\omega}$-dialdehyde decreased. As the polarity of solvent increased, a higher yield of desired ${\omega}$-formyl carboxylic acid was obtained, whereas the yield of unwanted polymeric ozonide decreased. The yields of ${\omega}$-formyl carboxylic acid from ozone oxidation of cyclohexene, cyclooctene and cyclododecene at $0^{\circ}C$ and in methylene chloride solvent were 59.30%, 55.20%, and 36.72%, respectively.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to form a new cosmetic market through the development of a composition with high skin permeability after adding omega 3 to Aloe Vera soothing gel products. Research design, data and methodology: In this study, omega-3 fatty acids were added to cosmetic products in the form of soothing gels. By applying nanoparticle technology to rapidly increase the penetration of raw materials into the skin, characteristics related to skin moisture and regeneration were determined. Omega-3 was used as a raw cosmetic material. Then 5% and 15% nanoparticle aqueous products containing omega-3 were prepared. The developed water hydrate was subjected to skin permeability test using artificial skin. Results: 53 hours of artificial transdermal penetration of the developed composition, the ethanol-based omega-3 containing nanoparticle solubilized raw material was about three times higher penetration than the ethanol-based omega-3 containing nanoparticle solubilized raw material. Conclusions: The raw material product (SR-1901) containing 5% of omega-3 nanoparticle water hydrate has skin regeneration ability and pain reduction effect. It can be expected that the skin cosmetics market will be reorganized into a new distribution structure and opportunity through omega-3 supplemented soothing gel cosmetics with improved efficacy than existing cosmetics.
In this research, the preparation processes for making a series of $\omega$-mercapto alkylamine 1 and $\omega$-mercapto alkanoic acid 2 useful for studying of the self-assembled monolayer(SAM) are described. The preparation methods of the first goal materials, $\omega$-mercapto alkylamines 1 were carried out as follows: First, $\omega$-phthalimide alkanol 3 was synthesized from commercially available potassium phthalimide derivatives and $\omega$-bromoalkanol in DMF at $80{^{\circ}C}$ via substitution reaction. After refluxing $\omega$-phthalimide alkanol 3 with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol followed by treating with c-HCl, $\omega$-aminoalkanol 4 was obtained in 76-98% yield, accompanied with side-product 5. Bromination of hydroxyl moiety of $\omega$-aminoalkanol 4 using aqueous hydrobromic acid furnished $\omega$-bromoamine 6 in 34-97% yields. Substitution reaction 6 with thiourea in 95% ethanol gave $\omega$-aminoalkanthiuronium 7, which was treated with aqueous strong base and aqueous strong sulfuric acid gave desired products, $\omega$-mercapto alkylamines 1 through overall 5 steps. The second target material, $\omega$-mercapto alkanoic acid 2 was prepared via 2 steps. $\omega$-bromo alkanoic acid was reacted with thiourea to give $\omega$-thiourea alkanoic acid 7 in 69-85%, which was treated with aqueous strong base and strong acid to furnish $\omega$-mercapto alkanoic acid 2 in 50-98%. The fabricated long-chain alkylthiol(LCAT) can be used as linkers to immobilize protein, enzyme and various kinds of biomolecules on the surface of metallic materials(Au, Pt, Ti) by SAM, and can be useful chemical tools for the application study on the surface modification of metallic materials.
By using a set ${\Omega}$, we introduce the concept of ${\Omega}$-fuzzy subsemigroups and study some of it's properties. Also, we show that the homomorphic images and preimages of ${\Omega}$-fuzzy subsemigroups become ${\Omega}$-fuzzy subsemigroups.
A symplectic manifold is a pair (M, $\omega$) consisting of a smooth manifold M and a non-degenerate closed 2-form $\omega$ on M. Locally, $\omega$ = (equation omitted) and d$\omega$ = 0, when n = dimM. The condition d$\omega$ = 0 implies that locally $\omega$ = d${\alpha}$ with ${\alpha}$ = (equation omitted). There are three main sources of symplectic manifolds.(omitted)
In this paper, we investigate derivations on the noncommutative Banach algebra $L^{\infty}_0({\omega})^*$ equipped with an Arens product. As a main result, we prove the Singer-Wermer conjecture for the noncommutative Banach algebra $L^{\infty}_0({\omega})^*$. We then show that a derivation on $L^{\infty}_0({\omega})^*$ is continuous if and only if its restriction to rad($L^{\infty}_0({\omega})^*$) is continuous. We also prove that there is no nonzero centralizing derivation on $L^{\infty}_0({\omega})^*$. Finally, we prove that the space of all inner derivations of $L^{\infty}_0({\omega})^*$ is continuously homomorphic to the space $L^{\infty}_0({\omega})^*/L^1({\omega})$.
In this paper, we find the Fourier series of X(t, .omega.).mem. $L^{2}$$_{s.a.p.}$ and the Parseval relation of X(t, .omega.).mem. $L^{2}$$_{s.a.p.}$. In section 2, we investigate some basic properties of X(t, .omega.).mem. $L^{2}$$_{s.a.p.}$ In section 3, we show that the mean of X(t, .omega.).mem. $L^{2}$$_{s.a.p.}$ exists and in section 4, after showing the existence of Fourier exponents and Fourier coefficients of X(t, .omega.).mem. $L^{2}$$_{s.a.p.}$. we give the Parseval relation of X(t, .omega.).mem. $L^{2}$$_{s.a.p.}$. For convenience we will denote X(t, .omega.) as X(t) in what follows.hat follows.
Molecular mechanics and conformation search methods were carried oyt to investigate the relationship between conformations and thromboxane synthetase ingibitory activities of om ega-pyridylalkenoic acids. The initial geometries of ${\omega}$-pyridylalkenoic acids and heme part of cytochrome P-450 were obtained from MM+ geometry optimization. The bond lenths and angles were not varied by step during the conformation searching. Stable conformers of some ${\omega}$-pyridylalkenoic acids were obtained by comformational search method. The distances were 8.5~10.8 ${\AA}$- between N atom at 3-position of pyridine ring and C atom at carboxylic group of stable ${\omega}$-pyridylalkenoic acids. The conformations of ${\omega}$-pyridylalkenoic acids and heme part complex were determined by same method. In theses structures, benzene ring and ethylene group in ${\omega}$-pyridylalkenoic acids are making the structure more rigid and increase inhbitory activity. The electron donating groups in C atom shich is connected to pyridine ring also increase activity.
