Aim & Scope

The journal is devoted to the publication of original research papers in pure and applied mathematics. Research topics covered by this journal include algebra, analysis, geometry and topology, probability and statistics, mathematics education, and applied mathematics.

    In the fuzzy theory, a matrix A is idempotent if $A^2=A$. The idempotent fuzzy matrices are important in various applications and have many interesting properties. Using the upper diagonal completion process, we have the zero patterns of idempotent fuzzy matrix, that is, the idempotent Boolean matrices. In addition, we give the construction of all idempotent fuzzy matrices for each dimension n.

    In this paper, we obtain the intuitionistic fuzzy subgroups generated by intuitionistic fuzzy sets and some properties preserved by a ring homomorphism. Furthermore, we introduce the concept of intuitionistic fuzzy coset and study some of it's properties.

    In this paper we obtain the general solution the functional equation $a^2f(\frac{x-2y}{a})+f(x)+2f(y)=2a^2f(\frac{x-y}{a})+f(2y).$ The type of the solution of this equation is Q(x)+A(x)+C, where Q(x), A(x) and C are quadratic, additive and constant, respectively. Also we prove the stability of this equation in the spirit of Hyers, Ulam, Rassias and $G\check{a}vruta$.

    It is shown that every almost linear mapping $h:{\mathcal{A}}{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{B}}$ of a unital Poisson Banach algebra ${\mathcal{A}}$ to a unital Poisson Banach algebra ${\mathcal{B}}$ is a Poisson algebra homomorphism when h(xy) = h(x)h(y) holds for all $x,y{\in}\;{\mathcal{A}}$, and that every almost linear almost multiplicative mapping $h:{\mathcal{A}}{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{B}}$ is a Poisson algebra homomorphism when h(qx) = qh(x) for all $x\;{\in}\;{\mathcal{A}}$. Here the number q is in the functional equation given in the almost linear almost multiplicative mapping. We prove that every almost Poisson bracket $B:{\mathcal{A}}\;{\times}\;{\mathcal{A}}\;{\rightarrow}\;{\mathcal{A}}$ on a Banach algebra ${\mathcal{A}}$ is a Poisson bracket when B(qx, z) = B(x, qz) = qB(x, z) for all $x,z{\in}\;{\mathcal{A}}$. Here the number q is in the functional equation given in the almost Poisson bracket.

    A class of topological algebras, which we call it a fundamental one, has already been introduced generalizing the famous Cohen factorization theorem to more general topological algebras. To prove the generalized versions of Cohen's theorem to locally multilplicatively convex algebras, and finally to fundamental topological algebras, the completness of the background spaces is one of the main conditions. The local convexity of the completion of a locally convex space is a well known fact and here we have a discussion on the completness of fundamental metrizable topological vector spaces.

    A practical estimation method for groundwater contaminant concentration is introduced. Using geostatistical techniques and symmetry, experimental variograms show significant improved correlation compared with those from conventional techniques. Numrical experiments are performed using a field data set.

    The aim of this paper is to introduce a digital $({\kappa}_0,\;{\kappa}_1)$-covering map and a local $({\kappa}_0,\;{\kappa}_1)$-homeomorphism. And further, we show that a digital $({\kappa}_0,\;{\kappa}_1)$-covering map is a local $({\kappa}_0,\;{\kappa}_1)$-homeomorphism and the converse does not hold. Finally, some property of a digital covering map is investigated with relation to some restriction map. Furthermore, we raise an open problem with relation to the product covering map.

    In 1965, Bhatt and Pandey have obtained an analogue of the Whipple's theorem for double series by using Watson's theorem on the sum of a $_3F_2$. The aim of this paper is to derive twenty five results for double series closely related to the analogue of the Whipple's theorem for double series obtained by Bhatt and Pandey. The results are derived with the help of twenty five summation formulas closely related to the Watson's theorem on the sum of a $_3F_2$ obtained recently by Lavoie, Grondin, and Rathie.

    By elementry manipulation of series together with summations of Gauss and $Saalsch\ddot{u}tz$, Exton deduced a new two term relation for the hypergeometric function $_3F_2(1)$. The aim of this paper is to derive Exton's result from Thomae's formula, together with two known integral formulas and the Euler's transformation for $_2F_1$.
